## What is FireDocket?

FireDocket is a simple to use calendar for displaying firefighter shift schedules - or any schedules where teams work according to a fixed shift sequence that is shorter than the month and stays the same throughout the year.

It supports up to four shifts or platoons at a time and any shift schedule.

It comes preset to a 21 day shift sequence and is easily configured to any other schedule in minutes. All you need is the current month's schedule that the fire station or your supervisor provided and the length (in days) of the shift sequence.

(The preset sequence is ABCACACBCABABACABCBCB, is 21 days long, and starts repeating at day 22.)

You will find that you can also print a full-year color calendar to any wireless printer in the area. It's useful for sharing your schedule with spouses, kids, friends, etc – but they could also have their own FireDocket apps since the app is distributed for free.

Unlike most of the other fire calendar applications offered in the App Stores, this one is free (with ads).

FireDocket does not provide facilities for trading days or marking paydays or noting holidays – but what it does do, it does very simply, very fast and very well !

The months of your work year are only a swipe away.

Give it a try, what do you have to lose !

## Key features

- Firefighter shift schedule display
- Supports up to four shifts

### 2/5 — Ok

*2017-02-26*

This app is great when it works right, lately it has been re-setting itself & have to go back in and re-do everything. Not good when you try to plan around your work schedule & pull it up & it's gone.

### 5/5 — Useful, simple, good value

*2014-12-06*

Very useful application for typical firefighter schedules. I recently bought this because more than half of the guys at my station (more than a dozen) have it and I saw how easy it was for them to know when they were working. (I think the others don’t because it doesn’t work on Droids yet.) Some guys I know at other stations like it too. I’m real pleased with it, no more dealing with paper schedules and I like that I can mail the schedule to my wife and kids. Good bargain - 2 bucks period - no annual fees. It doesn’t do Kelly days but we don’t do that here.

### 1/5 — worst app on the net

*2014-09-03*

setting this up for kelly days is pure crap -- I don't care how you slice it the 2nd shift dose not work for kelly days -- if I could get my money back I would and put it to better app --- we should be allow to try an app befoe wasting money on crap like this

### 1/5 — Bad app

*2013-09-06*

This program does not work with a normal abc rotation

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2013-08-23*

I work an interesting schedule of an ABCD rotation. This has been the only App the I have found that is perfect for my rotation. I love the different colors of shifts as well as the mailing option to send your schedule to anyone. I had some issues initially entering my schedule but the owner of the App was "on the ball" in helping me with every step! Thank you, Rich! You are the BEST!

### 5/5 — Sayonara printed schedule.

*2013-06-08*

Basic, but really useful. It's been really nice to ditch the paperwork.

### 4/5 — Does what it says it'll do

*2013-05-26*

No frills, but it's very flexible with the schedules it can create. Not sure what the other reviewer was talking about with not being able to create 24/48s...I can do it just fine. Maybe they should read directions. The email calendar feature is nice.

### 5/5 — FireDocket

*2013-05-26*

Works great, good product. Bought for 48/96 schedule. Tried 24/48 for grins. Setup either in 1 minute.Their site shows both and a much more complicated 21 day schedule so I don't know why the other reviewer had problems.

### 1/5 — Review

Awful cant assign 24/48 schedule

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.1.0 — 2026-01-26

The yearly calendar can now be printed in both a Dark and a Light theme and all of the screens now better adjust to smaller screen sizes.

### 3.0.0 — 2026-01-06

The prior version of FireDocket provided a means to e-mail a full-year schedule to anyone. This version replaces the e-mail functionality with the ability to print to any wireless printer in the area. One of the selections in the print dialog allows saving the calendar to a PDF file on your mobile instead of printing it and you could do that and subsequently e-mail the calendar to whoever you wished that way.

### 1.3.2 — 2017-02-24

The prior version of FireDocket stored a person's shift schedule in a location that iOS can overwrite for its own purposes when memory is low. The result would be that a person would have had to re-enter their schedule whenever they restarted the FireDocket application. A person's shift schedule is now stored in a more persistent location, a location that iOS will not overwrite. This version contains no other changes and there is no need to update to this version unless you are having the kind of problem that this version solves.

NOTE: This upgrade will require users to re-enter their shift schedule.

### 1.3.1 — 2017-01-04

This version fixes two issues in the prior version.
Issue #1 - The "Select calendar year" selector on the Mail tab stopped functioning when an iOS upgrade was performed.
Issue #2 - The calendar on the Home tab would go back to the current month if a user moved to another month within 10 seconds of starting the application.
NOTE: This upgrade will require users to re-enter their shift schedule.

### 1.2.0 — 2013-09-12

Fixed schedule configuration problem that occurs when the first of the month falls on the first Sunday of the month. September and December are the only months in 2013 where this occurs. Schedules configured or setup prior to September are not affected and work correctly.
