## What is Firehawk?

FireHub is the operator companion for the FireHawk fire detection network — real-time wildfire alerts delivered straight to your phone the moment a tower camera spots smoke or
  flame.

Built for forestry teams, plantation operators, and emergency response crews, FireHub turns a network of remote detection cameras into a coordinated response platform.

  WHAT'S INSIDE

  • Real-time fire alerts — push notifications hit your lock screen within seconds of detection
  • Camera-based detection — see live imagery from the tower that picked up the fire, with auto-preset framing on the source quadrant
  • Bearing triangulation — when two or more cameras see the same fire, sight-lines on the in-app map narrow down its location for response teams
  • Fire history — the last 48 hours of fires across your access scope, sorted by time, with age badges that update live
  • Camera & weather coverage — see what each tower's looking at and the local Fire Danger Index for that area
  • Pilot view — turn-by-turn navigation to a fire (Google Maps or Waze) with live bearing + distance from your current position
  • Custom alert tones — pick from four fire-themed sounds (Bell, Klaxon, Alarm, Siren) so FireHub notifications are unmistakeable on the lock screen
  • Sign in with Google — one tap, no password to forget
  • Seamless web handoff — "Open in Firehub" jumps straight into the full PWA dashboard, already signed in

  DESIGNED FOR THE FIELD

FireHub is built for people working long shifts, often offline, often gloved. The interface is dark, large-text, and one-thumb navigable. Common actions (open Google Maps to the
fire, tap into the camera image, navigate as the responding pilot) are one tap from any fire row.

  PRIVACY & DATA

FireHub uses your location only when you ask for navigation to a fire. Push tokens are stored against your user account to deliver alerts and are removed when you log out. We
don't share your data with third parties.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 3.56.0 — 2026-08-25

• You can now edit your profile in the app — name, phone number and country — instead of being sent to the website. You can also change your password, and see your organisation, access level and tower count in one place.
• Fixed Tower Filtering, where the switches wouldn't respond at all if you have a lot of towers. You can now tap anywhere on a row to hide or show that tower.
• If you signed up with a work email address, FireHub can now link your account to your organisation and add their shared map layers to your maps. You'll be asked during setup, or once when you next open the app. Saying no is remembered.
• Fixed the fire fence reminder never appearing. If your fire alerts were on but you hadn't drawn a fence, the prompt telling you that fires only alert inside a fence wasn't showing up.
• Administrators can block an unwanted access request outright from the Approvals list, which also stops that person signing up again.
• Fixed the Approvals list showing up empty for senior administrators — it now lists every request waiting on them.
• You can no longer send an access request to a site that has been switched off, which previously went nowhere.
• Pull to refresh now works properly on Fires, Approvals and the Inbox. The spinner used to disappear the instant you let go, which made it look like nothing had happened — it now stays up until the new data has actually arrived.

### 3.53.2 — 2026-08-13

• Map pins are clearer: fires and camera towers now show as colour-coded flame and camera badges instead of plain markers, so you can tell at a glance what you're looking at.
• Fixed the Fires map opening on the wrong part of the country — it now always frames your own fires.
• Fixed "Send test notification" in Settings, which was failing with an error instead of sending.

### 3.53.1 — 2026-08-13

• Home Screen widgets are back and better: Latest Detection, a new Fire Danger widget, and a full overview widget — with Lock Screen versions and controls to flip through fires and stations right on the widget.
• Fires map: pins are now colour-coded by age, so a fresh detection stands out from yesterday's.
• Weather: search your stations, wind gusts on every card, a clearer map, and a proper iPad grid layout.
• Cameras on iPad: searchable camera list, every preset visible at once in landscape, and a full-height map.
• Pilot mode now opens fires straight into the pilot view.
• Faster image loading with smarter caching, better responsiveness, and many fixes and refinements throughout.

### 3.43.0 — 2026-07-30

New multi-camera view: open a fire to see the 3 nearest cameras automatically aimed at it — swipe through presets, compare against a daytime reference, and view the camera angles on a map. Plus the new Fire Fence tool to draw your own alert zones and get notified when a fire is detected inside one. The app now also tells you when a newer version is available, with a one-tap update so you're never stuck on an old build — plus in-app account sign-up and a clearer forgotten-password flow that reminds you to check your spam folder.

### 3.35.0 — 2026-07-20

Tap any notification for a detail popup — fire, weather or access request — with a one-tap button to open the fire, the Weather tab, or the approvals queue. Weather alerts show which stations crossed into fire danger and their fire-danger index. Plus better big-screen and foldable layouts.
