Full of Network SPAMMERS *2024-08-08, version 2024.2702.5* Be Warned Not only do all these random Network hosts SPAM you on the app daily and sometimes hourly with invites to join (and pay) from Networks of people you aren’t following and are not interested in but as of today I am now annoyed by someone emailing me named Dr. Ramani Durvasula! She’s the most annoying spammer so far. . I have screenshots as proof. It’s so poorly designed and run. They don’t have a block function! And to stop all this annoying nonsense you have to jump through hoops to stop it PER network!!! It’s got to be the worst thing I’ve ever had the displeasure of experiencing when it comes to technology and apps. It’s like they came up with an idea and run with it without thinking clearly about how to developer side. Honestly I am so fed up at how poorly managed this is that I am this app and I better not get any more emails from this company’s networks otherwise I will write a review on my Instagram. Do you want to go through this too? If so, make sure you download the app. Good Luck! I can not believe this app and streaming even exists! Instagram live streams is much better and you don’t have to worry about being bombarded with spam by desperate networks. ### 2/5 — Hard to cancel a membership *2024-08-06* Fireside chat makes it hard to cancel a subscription and to see the content of your membership. I emailed support asking how to cancel membership and never heard from them. I called and was sent straight to voice mail. The options for the account is not plain and you could get stuck in a membership that you can’t get out. **Developer response:** Ms. Journal - We would love to resolve your issue. Looking forward to hearing from you! ### 1/5 — Zero communication after being there from their launch *2024-06-30, version 2024.2102.6* I was a part of a fireside chat. I have over 200 episodes sitting on my channel. They did an upgrade and they blocked me from even accessing my account for no reason. I’ve contacted everybody under the sun, including the developers, including Falon herself. I have tried repeatedly to reach support customer service. Anything to help me figure out why I was just automatically removed access from my account when I have so much content that I have built into their platform. I have friends that are on there. I have colleagues that are on there and still nobody will respond to me whatsoever, I had to go and find a different solution and a different platform which made me very sad because I thought fireside chat would be my next platform that I could actually elevate my voice and my podcasting to an entirely different level. I was sadly mistaken. ### 1/5 — Horrible UI *2024-06-22, version 2024.2102.5* Wow! Just joined today and I am shocked at how horrible the user interface is 🙌🏼 I expected way more from Mark Cuban. I came here just for Tyler Henry Collective and I’ll hang in there for the one month subscription I paid for, just to catch what Tyler offers, but navigating or trying to figure out what’s happening in the app lasts about a 5 minutes before I shut it down out of frustration. ### 1/5 — A Joke of a platform; This Is A Dead End. *2024-06-17, version 20241.2102.3* Don’t be fooled- there’s no “podcasters” here. It’s laughable to see the names of (d-list) celebrities here, as if they’d lend themselves to this platform. If yo can call it that. Firstly, upon making an account, you are walled in- unable to participate. You can pick a username, sure. But when the lone person of the day goes live, you can all but listen and not participate. Want to participate? Or even have a live conversation? Read on! You can’t. In order to have anything to do with anything on this app, you have to fill out a Google form with all of your Social Media handles. And by anything I mean ANYTHING. And it’s the same google form. For everything. Unless you are a corpse, this app is a waste of living. And it’s trying to lure strong social media personalities in order to be The Next Big Social Audio Thing. Don’t worry, Fireside. I did some deep digging and you do have some gold. When I’m bored some day I’ll write all about you, and we’ll all have a good laugh. ### 1/5 — Not good *2024-06-12, version 20241.2102.3* Could be good, but it’s just not. Frustrating. ### 2/5 — Too many irrelevant unsolicited notifications *2024-06-06, version 20241.2102.2* Constant notifications for things I would never want to see or hear and no way to turn those off without turning the ones that I want off. Not good. ### 1/5 — Cancellation of Subscription VERY difficult *2024-05-31, version 2024.5278.8* If ever you decide you don’t want to continue with your Fireside subscription, good luck. Not only is it unbelievably hard to find out where and how to do so, but once you submit a request, you aren’t contacted by the support team as promised. Your subscription actually isn’t cancelled and you will be charged the subscription account over and over! Simply put, I should be able to cancel and stop payment on a subscription if I choose for an app that claims you don’t have to sign up for a certain amount of time. I have made at least 3 attempts to cancel my Fireside subscription to Tyler Henry and have not been granted cancellation. In fact, the continued attempts to charge my account have resulted in bank fees to me. Beware of these practices. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Run *2025-05-29* Like SO many others I am frustrated with Fireside’s lack of support. Do not pay for this. Run don’t walk as far away as you can. ### 1/5 — Terrible customer service, exploitative terms and conditions *2025-05-23* I got a year subscription to Dr Ramani, which has excellent content. Today is the day it would renew for another year, which I set in my calendar to call and decide to keep or cancel. I emailed today and was told it’s too late to cancel for this next year (even though it hasn’t even hit my credit card yet) and they won’t prorate. They told me I’m locked in for another 127 per year. I’m reporting them to my credit card and filing under BBB. Beware of these exploitative terms and conditions. Dr Ramani, I hope you move your excellent content to a more trustworthy platform with higher integrity than this one. ### 1/5 — Ridiculously annoying *2025-04-06* This app is not user friendly in the least. They won’t even refund me for the months that l haven’t even used. This app is a scam! ### 1/5 — Failing in Inclusivity and Customer Service *2024-12-12* The lack of customer support and response to inquiries is unacceptable. Moreover the transition from creators to money generators is truly disappointing. Despite many attempts to speak to a representatives, I have yet to be able to reach beyond a survey responses. Most especially I am frustrated in their lack of diversity within the representation of people with disabilities. ### 1/5 — Overhyped and Politically Overloaded *2024-10-19* I had high hopes for Fireside, an app marketed as a platform for engaging discussions and connecting with like-minded people. However, after spending some time on it, I’m left feeling a bit disappointed. While the idea behind Fireside is solid, the execution leaves a lot to be desired. First off, the app seems overly polished in a way that comes off as a bit cheesy. The user interface is smooth, but the constant push for engagement through flashy features feels more gimmicky than necessary. Instead of focusing on authentic conversations, it feels like they’re trying too hard to “wow” users with bells and whistles that don’t add much value. Secondly, and perhaps most notably, the app has a clear political tilt. Fireside seems overly driven by one-sided discussions, making it hard to engage in meaningful, balanced conversations without feeling like you’re being led toward a certain narrative. If you’re hoping for open dialogue across various viewpoints, you might find yourself frustrated by how heavily politicized the platform is. weißе маcht, it has potential, Fireside would benefit from toning down the political bias and focusing more on fostering genuine, inclusive conversations. Until then, it feels like a missed opportunity in a space that needs more open-minded and authentic discussion. ### 1/5 — Money *2024-09-23* I cancelled my subscription in April. I just noticed they removed money from my account in September. I click on every icon there is and not one will bring me to an account or support. Within the App Store I click on app support it takes me back to the app, which has no icon for support. And have to say I love the app it’s easy to use and gives u plenty of opportunities to be in chat to speak to that star or person u came to see. Easy to use and gives u reminders as far as when that person will be on. And allows to to add to ur calendar many weeks in advance and set alarms as well. The energy of forgiveness shows up where and if is needed. This is my time to visit check in with me. Sometimes when Sister Shahidah invites us back into our bodies, I am motivated to flow my hands and arms across my body guiding the highest frequencies to wash over my entire being as if I were a ballerina or at least a fragile graceful bird. Oh, when the session concludes I hold in place, soaking up the lingering sound waves.
