### 3/5 — Fire Source Great App in Victoria

*2026-01-09, version 1.2.5*

It can take a minute to show the fires but it’s much more specific than the VicEmergency app and great to use together.
I’d suggest when it’s a false alarm, that the icon changes to black with a line through it and when it’s ‘safe’ changing the flame icon from orange to black. This would make it much easier to keep track of what’s a threat and what’s not. This app was a god send yesterday and really helped us with our decision to stay or go. Good app!

### 2/5 — I’m sorry

*2025-12-12, version 1.2.5*

It is very slow.

### 2/5 — Not see much

*2025-03-15, version 1.2.5*

Fires all over Oklahoma around Stillwater, Mannford and many other areas and not much of anything is showing up.

### 2/5 — Correction to MyHappy Farm

*2024-09-10, version 1.2.5*

You commented on the wrong app. This app is mediocre at best

### 4/5 — I like this app, but…

*2024-06-18, version 1.2.5*

As a few others have mentioned, a horizontal format would be useful.

I’d also like to be able to sort the active fires by distance to my location in addition to the times the fires started.

Thanks for all your work on this important app.

### 3/5 — No QLD info

*2023-10-31, version 1.2.5*

Disappointed that QLD information is not shown

### 3/5 — Horizontal view

*2023-08-21, version 1.2.5*

Need this for iPad viewing

### 2/5 — Used to be a 5 star app

*2023-05-26, version 1.2.5*

I live in an area that has had pretty bad fires. Information on where fires are is vital. And this app does still provide that. But also important is: size of fire, direction that it is traveling, and how close is it to containment? This app used to provide this information and more.
Then they did an update and added Irwin reports. Now, I can see where a fire started and that’s it.
It has been a couple of years and not only is it still not giving any important information, but the developers are now trying to sell another service.
To the developers: thank you for the years when you were providing needed information. I will be deleting this app now.

### 4/5 — Good, but

*2022-10-27, version 1.2.3*

Would be great if notifications could be enabled for nearby fires. I will increase to 5 stars if this is added.

### 1/5 — Didn’t update

*2022-09-11, version 1.2.3*

Air quality does not update . Useless !

### 4/5 — Good

*2022-09-06, version 1.2.3*

Nice app to have since the cal fire website is so difficult to navigate. None of my fires have perimeters though.

### 1/5 — Why make things difficult?

*2022-08-01, version 1.2.2*

Every year I have to dig up the bookmarks and apps that actually show the fire perimeters.

Suggestion: Show them by default.

### 3/5 — Missing the ACT & Tasmania?

*2022-01-28, version 1.2.2*

Please add the fire feeds for the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) & Tasmania. The ACT agency is Emergency Services ACT & the Tassie one is Tasmania Fire Services. Both have RSS XML feeds.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — ‼️NOTHING IN APP: major fire, bad air 10 miles away

*2026-08-16, version 1.2.5*

‼️NOTHING IN APP: major fire, bad air 10 miles away.

### 1/5 — Crashes constantly

*2026-01-07, version 1.2.5*

Hopeless. Just sits there with nothing on map, buttons dont work and then just crashes out

### 1/5 — Useless app

*2025-12-05, version 1.2.5*

Knowing there’s fires near me I downloaded this app and it shows no fires anywhere. I checked every link on the app and it’s shows nothing. Maybe it’s broken?

### 1/5 — Leaves out some of the most important info

*2025-08-20, version 1.2.5*

Only shows area burned at time of discovery and never updates. At present, it shows the Lee fire at 50 acres— it has burned over 130,000. It also does not show a fire boundary.

### 1/5 — Just downloaded 8/1/25

*2025-08-01, version 1.2.5*

NOT accurate so far! Pretty disappointed-just downloaded this app today as the Grand Canyon Dragon fire just turned MEGA, & our air quality at Page/Lake Powell is VERY POOR. Have heard that the fire is moving closer to the small communities between Grand Canyon and Page, wanted to track the fire and smoke. The Grand Canyon DRAGON/MEGA Fire is NOT EVEN ON THE MAP!! Instead over half of UT is on fire—according to the map—but we were told that a lot of those fires were mostly contained. Oh, and air quality in AZ is showing green-meaning good. IT IS NOT. I’ll keep this app for a few days, see if things improve, but NOT IMPRESSED thus far. 😤

### 1/5 — Inaccurate and useless

*2024-08-05, version 1.2.5*

Cant report exact location or adjust location after. Stopping AT THE FIRE SITE is stupid and dangerous. Cant report without photo but you CANT ACCESS ALREADY TAKEN PHOTOS. Other than national fires this app is a joke.

### 1/5 — Frequent crashes

*2023-08-15, version 1.2.5*

This app shuts down when I try to look at specific fire information. Other apps offer detailed information about fires; this one does not. I have no idea why this app has such a high rating—at the moment it’s useless.

### 1/5 — This app

*2023-06-10, version 1.2.5*

Keeps kicking me off

### 1/5 — No Canadian coverage

*2023-06-08, version 1.2.5*

Right now there are terrible wildfires in Canada smoking up where I live in the us and I would like this app to cover wildfires in Canada to see how bad they are, or I will have to find another app.

### 1/5 — Way to slow

*2023-01-31, version 1.2.3*

My property could burn down before this app loaded any info. Needs a lot work.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Summer fires

*2025-06-23, version 1.2.5*

Great for road closures on our trip through Colorado

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-03-16, version 1.2.5*

I live in a wooded area, and with all the fire warnings in Texas, I like knowing where fires are in my area.

### 5/5 — Good App

*2024-10-21, version 1.2.5*

I use Firesource as one of my apps for research. It’s a nice addition to have for quick fire records.

### 5/5 — Mark Halvorsen

*2023-08-19, version 1.2.5*

I love this app. When we smell smoke or see it in the air, this is the best place to see what is happening.

### 5/5 — Wildfires

*2022-09-12, version 1.2.3*

Poor map detail about each fire & how started, containment %, estimated control or out. Each State map of fires. Etc.

### 5/5 — Thanks to the Developers! This app is a must have for anyone living in a fire area!

*2022-09-06, version 1.2.3*

Thank you to the developers! I have been waiting for a comprehensive well thought out app for years… I now have one. Watch Duty is the first app that is worth keeping on my phone and using as a critical resource in an emergency. It does not require a fire become large before it shows up on the app. The app is not limited to one Fire agency but reports fires from multiple agencies, jurisdictions and cities. Evacuation site information is not limited to people but includes small and large animals too. (Thank you!) App includes an interactive map, Fire maps and Fire information, pictures and evacuation information.
Again Thanks to the Developers! This app is a must have for anyone living in a fire area.

### 5/5 — Great easy to use tool

*2022-04-30, version 1.2.2*

App is very easy to use and linkage to external information is excellent

### 5/5 — Yes.

*2022-01-22, version 1.2.2*

Yes.

### 5/5 — Great tool for finding wildfires.

*2021-07-05, version 1.2.2*

Not only is this application a good tool, but it’s also free. Most of those other applications charge by the month and they’re not as good.

### 5/5 — Super clean experience 👌🏻

*2020-08-27, version 1.1.1*

Great work!
