### 4/5 — It’s good

*2026-02-04, version 3.5.1*

although it’s good it’s not insane, I love the quizzes you can take because they help you learn new skills

### 4/5 — Red Cross

*2025-11-21, version 3.5.1*

App is pretty good. The advice and quizzes are very good, but I have not been able to see my certifications on the app.

### 2/5 — Check lists, simple stuff

*2025-11-18, version 3.5.1*

The app seems directed primarily at very serious / life threatening situations. Most of what it provides is known to me from an ARC course I took. An app directed at less serious conditions giving check lists and decision points particularly when to call for help would seem to me more valuable to most.

### 4/5 — Great resource for life saving care

*2025-10-04, version 3.5*

The app is a wonderful repository for information related to lifesaving and general first aid care. The only defect I have found so far is that when using the skill quizzes, any question involving a slider for the answer, the answer cannot be correctly selected. This is a minor frustration, but should nonetheless be fixed.

### 5/5 — Great App made by RedCross

*2025-08-05, version 3.4.3*

Great app, but I don’t use it to learn because it always has a button no matter what page your on that tapping it instantly calls 911. I think this is a good idea, but they should add a setting to turn it off because a misclick or scrolling at the bottom of the screen could lead to a fine for false calling 911. I love how this app is ad free. Doesn’t cost one penny. Everyone should have the Red Cross first aid app and the Red Cross emergency app.

### 4/5 — great info - missing pictures

*2025-07-09, version 3.4.2*

This is a great app for safety information however the "give care" section with step by step instructions on first aid care is missing the pictures and just has large gray rectangles interrupting the steps where pictures would be- unfortunately quite confusing, especially in an emergency.

### 5/5 — Underrated

*2025-07-01, version 3.4.2*

I’m surprised this app isn’t more well-known as there is a wealth of free, valuable, and accessible information as well as quizzes, etc. It gives me peace of mind to know that I have this available to keep my skills sharp between trainings and as a refresher in case of emergencies. Thank you.

### 2/5 — App needs 1st Aid - multi crashes

*2025-06-28, version 3.4.2*

App used to be good. Now crashing repeatedly upon opening. Tried deleting and reinstalling, but it still crashed, even though in App Store it says it will work on my device. The last thing one wants is to need first aid guidance only to find the app is itself BROKEN and in need of not just first aid but major surgery.

### 5/5 — Great App made by RedCross

*2025-06-18*

Great app, but I don’t use it to learn because it always has a button no matter what page your on that tapping it instantly calls 911. ### 5/5 — Quizzes

*2025-05-22, version 3.4.2*

Love the training !

### 4/5 — Pretty great app!!

*2025-04-21, version 3.4.0*

As a new babysitter, this is great to have on the go as it shows many symptoms and ways to help with a lot of things. Only issue is you can cheat to earn badges as the questions are the same every time. Would be great to have more questions for badges/to quiz yourself; only 3-4 on average.

### 5/5 — Five stars

*2025-03-12, version 3.4.0*

I am a babysitter and I find that this is a very important part of babysitting just in case of emergency

### 5/5 — The best

*2025-03-05, version 3.4.0*

I think that it is Carey good to make that app because it helps people who don’t know CPR also, it gives you a 911
CPR you can tap it and I’ll call them straight away

### 5/5 — Very educational

*2025-03-03, version 3.4.0*

Good to have this app on hand in case of emergency.

### 4/5 — It doesn’t give enough information

*2025-02-27, version 3.4.0*

The app tells u to look for symptoms do this and call the cops I don’t need an app telling me to call the cops I would like for information other than that it’s fine (also doesn’t have all categories AND WHY IS IT TELLING ME TO CALL 911 FOR A MINOR CUT!!)

### 5/5 — Must Have

*2025-02-04, version 3.4.0*

Everyone in the world should have this app. Tell your friends and family.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Please fix it

*2025-06-30, version 3.4.2*

The app keeps crashing when i try to open it on my IPAD (gen 10)

### 1/5 — Continuous crashing on iPad Mini 7th gen

*2025-06-11, version 3.4.2*

I am running 18.5. I literally cannot get in, it just hangs and crashes to the Home Screen 100% of the time. You guys should not publish the app if you’re not going to test it for bugs like this, it’s genuinely worse than nothing because people will have a false sense of planning/security. Bad bad bad.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2025-06-10, version 3.4.2*

Was good but now it crashes every time I try to open it on my iPad

### 1/5 — Be very careful using this in an emergency

*2025-05-21, version 3.4.2*

My family and I had an emergency today. Happily, not life threatening. But it was very serious and quite scary.

I’ve had the First Aid app on my phone for a long time. I went to it for some emergency best practices for burn and wound care. As soon as I opened the app I got hit with a survey. I was very frustrated but I quickly responded, so I could get to what I needed.

Imagine my exasperation and stress when this happened TWO MORE TIMES. I got hit with THREE SURVEYS in a row within the First Aid app. There could have been a fourth, but I gave up.

I tossed my phone aside. We had called 911, and my daughter ended up finding some helpful information using ChatGPT on emergency wound and burn care.

I feel quite disgusted. I will never use this app again. If you choose to use the app, watch out for surveys. It makes the app useless in serious situations.

To the people who make this app: SHAME ON YOU. Inserting surveys into an app that you explicitly advertise as being helpful in emergencies or critical situations is just plane WRONG. Shame on you.

### 1/5 — 911 for Fainting????

*2025-01-04, version 3.4.0*

You’ve got to be kidding me!
As someone who has fainted several times over my life, 911 would have been an immense waste of precious resources. From my perspective, equivalent to an ER visit for a mosquito bite.

### 1/5 — Lousy

*2024-07-07, version 3.3.1*

The most recent update turned a five star app into a one star app. This is useless. Deleted.

### 1/5 — I AM NOT OK WITH IT!

*2024-07-06, version 3.3.1*

I’m tired of it. It is not ok that you want to follow me around. It is not ok that you want to phone home behind my back. It is not ok that you want to spy on me. It is not ok that you’d sell this to others. It is not ok that you help corrupt corporations and governments bypass laws that protect human rights. It is not ok that you provide the framework for violent oppression. Most importantly, it is not ok that people who lack the character and understanding have made this nightmare into *my* reality.

So I’m handing out 1-star review for every “onboarding,” for every personal identifier you want to pretend isn’t linked to me, and for every bit of code that collects anything that’s not needed to do the job I actually agreed to.

### 1/5 — App won’t work

*2023-09-20, version 3.1*

Freezes every time you try to log in. Reinstalled twice with no luck.

### 1/5 — No information on high blood pressure

*2023-08-07, version v3.0*

Someone is having a hypertensive crisis. I searched blood pressure and the only thing that comes up is nose bleed. Pretty sorry app.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work after the new update

*2023-07-18, version v3.0*

App doesn’t show any information/ content after the update.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — A true lifesaver

*2026-05-29, version 4.1*

Learned CPR for dogs in a quick pinch

### 5/5 — Everyone Should Have This App!

*2026-05-18, version 4.1*

This app has potentially life saving information and I believe everyone should have access to it at all times. It is made well, user friendly, and has clear directions for every possible life threatening situation (for you, children, and your pets). It is literally the best.

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-06, version 3.5.1*

I was choking but luckily i had this app so i opened it up and stopped choking for a sec to read what i should do and right before i almost died i did what this app told me to do and here i am now typing out this review

### 5/5 — Volunteer

*2026-04-17, version 3.5.1*

I love volunteering for the Red Cross!! I also enjoy being prepared as a community bystander! This app is extra helpful. Don’t miss out on the fur baby app and cpr/first aid class!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-03-20, version 3.5.1*

This is a great app to use. I highly recommend it if u are a scout or someone who wants to learn first aid.

### 5/5 — Informative

*2026-03-15, version 3.5.1*

This is a great app, everyone should have access to the potentially lifesaving information it contains. I hope I never have to use it.

Last year, on Oct. 7th, I raised an issue with the quiz feature. By Oct. 30th, the issue was resolved and the app updated.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App

*2026-02-26, version 3.5.1*

I teach first aid as a hobby and just discovered this tool! Wow!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-02-21, version 3.5.1*

Will save your butt

### 5/5 — Everyone should have this

*2026-01-21, version 3.5.1*

A little bit of studying could have a life-or-death impact. Having step-by-step instructions for emergencies is invaluable, too.

### 5/5 — First aid

*2025-08-19, version 3.5*

I love the app
