I never thought I would change Banks because of their online software. When I expressed frustration and mentioned USAA I was told their app had to be good because they were only on line. And it will lock you out “for security” for anything. And they will update it and not let users know. Been using my browser to check my account so I know the info is not wrong. I don’t know if it’s the banks problem or mine but I assume it’s the banks! I have no email regarding the status of my account that I’m denied entry into. “Sorry we couldn’t process your request.” The website is even buggier. It won’t even let me click on the option to send a SMS code to my phone! I’m seriously thinking about changing banks at this point. The purchases I’m trying to make also won’t go through. I completely understand the bank is a small community bank, so I’m wasn’t expecting an app on the level of American Express or USAA or some gargantuan enterprise. However, I’m one month into banking with this app, and find the following issues have caused a very poor user experience: (1) forgets username and password despite having the “remember my” options selected every time. (2) I completely lost access after only one week of use and have not been able to re-enroll my phone number again yet despite using tech support. Seemingly random, it will lock you out and force you to use a desktop to reset your password. There is no warning, nothing to indicate that this is about to happen. I have been on business trips with no access to a desktop or laptop and have been locked out from my account. The app needs to be updated to provide ample warning of password change timeframe. Also, if you are using a VPN, a large part of the time the app refuses to function. Absolutely ridiculous that I have to turn off my security in order to check my bank account.
