First In Navigation is a tool made specifically for first responders trying to memorize their response areas streets and routing. It has 3 sperate modes for EMS, Fire, and Law enforcement. With our app you can outline your exact response area. The app will then randomly generate calls within the drawn border. The app will then quiz and demonstrate how to get to or from the call. Fire and law enforcement mode will let you enter in stations, and route / quiz you from there to the call. EMS mode will let you enter in hospitals, and route / quiz you from the call to the hospital. Once you have a map set up how you want, you can permanently save the map and upload it to our database! Our database also lets users search by map name, map location, and coworker name. While anyone can easily set up a map, you may not have to as long as a coworker has saved and published a map! All routing data is imported from Mapbox for accurate and widespread mapping data. While designed for active first reponders, First In Navigation is open to everyone. Meaning even if you are not hired yet, you can still study your future response area now to enter the workforce with confidence. I hope they keep patching the bugs and making it better ### 2/5 — Needs major help *2026-08-05* The concept is very cool, the execution is far off. The “multiple choice” answers are no where in the vicinity of the marked territory so it makes it very easy to pick the right one. There is no challenge there. Would be harder if in the answers it picked streets ONLY in the marked district or even better, streets near the destination point to throw you off. Also, if there was a way to just turn off the marked location and route it would make it more challenging to help the user memorize better. Then fill it in as you go. Another feature would allow the user to pick a preferred route for given addresses. All territories have them, what an app or GPS might think is the fastest or easiest route is not the best route IRL. I love the idea. I hope it gets better. It would be nice to be able to have preferred roads that have less stop signs or less traveled by the public. ### 3/5 — Good Potential, Needs Refinement *2025-10-30* Overall I love the idea to help train people with area familiarization. It’s definitely one of the most under looked aspects of 911 response as people will rely on google maps. This will help get them to where they don’t need maps to route them wrong or if it’s down, they know where to go. Downsides: 1. UI is difficult. Typing in addresses for hospitals has its own keyboard VS apple iphone/ipad keyboard. 2. Takes ages to have an address to pop up in your area that’s not 3,000 miles away. Should be location based. 3. Maybe include the option to drop a pin in selected map area to add address. I think if this app is refined, it’ll have good potential. As of right now, it’s easier to just drop pins in google maps and self test by studying the area. ### 5/5 — Great APP *2025-10-29* Been using the app for a couple days and I can already tell it's an effective way to learn the roads. I already find myself being more focused on the road and looking at the GPS less. ### 4/5 — Almost worth the subscription price *2025-10-21* The app is a great idea and I think it could be useful for training, but there is one thing that I feel could be improved on. When being quizzed, you are given multiple choice questions for what your next turn will be on the route. Only one of the options is an actual road name in the district. I think it would be more beneficial to have all of the answers choices be roads that are actually in the area, as it makes the correct answer less obvious. ### 2/5 — Paywall *2025-10-18* Seems like a cool and useful app, nice layout and tailored to each response category such as fire, ems, police. However, you can do literally anything without paying. Not even demo maps outside of a 3 day trial.
