## What is First Interstate Debit Manager?

Protect your First Interstate debit card(s) with the ability to define when, where, and how your cards are used. Simply download the app to your smartphone, then customize your preferences and settings to monitor and manage your First Interstate debit card(s).
Alerts 
Ensure Safe, Secure Card Usage
Alerts for PIN and signature transactions can be set up to keep you informed of your debit card usage and help you quickly detect unauthorized or fraudulent activity. This app can send an alert when a card is used or when a card transaction has been attempted but is declined – and additional customizable alert options are available. Alerts are sent in real time, immediately after a transaction has taken place.
Location-Based Alerts and Controls
The My Location control can restrict transactions to merchants located within a certain range of your location (using your phone’s GPS); transactions requested outside of the specified range can be declined. The My Region control uses city, state, country or zip code on an expandable interactive map; transactions requested by merchants outside of a specific region can be declined.
Usage Alerts and Controls
Spending limits can be established to allow transactions up to a certain dollar value and decline transactions when amounts exceed your defined thresholds. Transactions can be monitored and managed for specific merchant categories such as gas stations, department stores, restaurants entertainment, travel, and groceries. And your transactions can also be monitored for specific transaction types: in-store purchases, e-commerce transactions, mail/phone orders and ATM transactions.
Card On/Off Setting
When the debit card is “on,” transactions are allowed in accordance with your usage settings. When the card is “off,” no purchases or withdrawals are approved until the card is subsequently turned back “on.” This control can be used to disable a lost or stolen card, prevent fraudulent activity in the case of a data breach, or control spending.
Additional Capabilities
This app also lets you conduct debit card-related mobile transactions wherever you are, any time of the day. Supported transactions include:

The newest update does not show your balance, only what you spend. Before the newest update it did show your balance. Worst update imaginable. Highly recommend you never get this app after the newest update.

I have had so much trouble using this app I’m ready to switch banks. To set this up you need all of the card info etc plus a code they email to you. I have a son that has requested the code 10+ times and has never received 1 email with a code. I have also requested a user name reminder and absolutely no email has been sent ever. Of course this happens during off time hours so I cannot contact anyone to see what is going on. Don’t be surprised if you lose my business because of this.

I haven’t actually used the app yet, but I did just finish setting up my account and already have some opinions:

1. You have to set up a completely separate account. From a security standpoint that makes sense, but obviously not convenient.

2. You can’t copy & paste or use a password manager when either setting up your account’s password or when you go to change a password. This is very poorly designed.

3. I don’t understand why not just integrate this into your main app, unless they’re doing this first to test the waters. I imagine they have their reasoning.

DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!!!
I was told by the bank that this would make it so I wouldn’t have to call and let them know when I was leaving the country. I just set the app to where I was traveling and I could use my card anywhere in the world. This is not what happened, I set the app to where I was in the UK, card declined. Called and talked to 5 different people, told all of them I was using the app, all said I should be able to use my card no problem. Tried different ATMs after every call, card declined every time. Was unable to get my money for 4 days in the UK. Thank god for friends and emergency credit cards! I finally decided to try and delete the app and my card worked immediately!

Yep. Can’t log in. Tried copying and pasting. Tried manually enter username and pass. Tried resetting. Can’t log in.

There’s not really a point to having this app. All features should be part of the olb app I already have. Can’t even delete cards that are lost/stolen. If I could lock/reorder/and activate my card right from the app would even be helpful, but all it does it give me the # to the CCC. Please just merge this app with the existing OLB app. The only useful feature is it notifies me of my husband’s purchases before the other app does.

I’ve been a customer for many years and having this app is so inconvenient because it should all be merged into the main app it would make so much sense and save you a lot more money since you’re a bank I thought you would be smart about that!
