Log in frequently so it does not go inactive. Trying to do a mobile deposit the lighting conditions have to be just right. Tried three times with an overhead light on and it rejected it, lit from the side it then accepted it. Very frustrating! So I have to memorize the company ID. That is doable... but the facial recognition seems very secure and is convenient besides. Three stars because everything works, but incompatible with device functions. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App no longer supported *2024-05-25* First Merchants combined the business and personal mobile banking apps and this Business app is no longer used. This app does not inform the user when you try to use it. It just tells you your USER ID is wrong. I wasted an hour trying to make it work. Other people had the same experience. It would be nice for the app to be updated to notify users not to use it any longer. ### 1/5 — Good luck logging in *2024-01-24* No matter what we do we can never log into this app. Oh my God, I hate First Merchant’s Bank. Not only do I have to log in with a physical password everytime(no face recognition) it also asks for my company ID every single time. And guess what, if you leave the app for even 10 secs to do something else, it logs you out and you have to do it all over again! Then when I’m actually in the app, my balance just doesn’t show, it’s always “N/A”. Then the employee at the bank says that their personal banking app is better, open an account and you can see your business balance there quicker. My other banks don’t require this repetitive act. What a waste of time. Also, it would make sense to require the user to enter the information in the same order as the website. The website requires: CompanyID, LoginID, then the next screen is Password. The mobile names these fields completely different on UI and the data required is in a different order. Have to down load several times in order for it to work. It used to work consistently well up until about four months ago. It takes several times to get it to go through. ### 3/5 — Too many strokes *2023-03-24* Our bank was purchased by First Merchants. The transition was better than expected. I only had to make two trips to our local branch to get everything up and running. The problem is key strokes required for every check deposited. 250% more for every check! As treasurer for our 501,c,3 it is a weekly reminder that I should find a new bank.
