## What is First Rush Viewer?

First Rush Viewer is the free companion monitoring app for First Rush on macOS.

Use it on set to view live camera streams from a Mac running First Rush on the same local Wi-Fi or production monitoring network. The Viewer is designed for directors, DPs, script supervisors, editors, and crew who need a lightweight monitor during multicam SDI recording.

Features:
- Discover First Rush on the local network with Bonjour.
- Pair with a 6-digit code or QR code.
- Monitor 1, 2, 3, or 4 camera streams.
- iPhone and iPad layouts for single view and multicam viewing.
- View-only operation: the iOS app does not record clips.
- Stream health feedback for frame rate, jitter, decode latency, render latency, and dropped packets.
- Screen recording detection and protection UI.

Requirements:
- First Rush for macOS running on the same local network.
- Local Network permission enabled on iPhone or iPad.
- Camera permission only if you want to scan the pairing QR code.

First Rush Viewer is free. Recording, SDI capture, ProRes writing, and hardware control are handled by the Mac app.
