## What is First Things?

First Things is a daily Christian formation system for believers who want to put first things first.

Most days don't fall apart at noon — they fall apart in the first ten minutes. Before you've prayed. Before you've opened Scripture. Before you offer the day to God. By the time you reach for your phone, the day already belongs to whatever was on the screen.

First Things gives you a daily rhythm to take that back.

THE DAILY RHYTHM
Morning Gate. Surrender, gratitude, Scripture, prayer, and intention — five practices in five minutes before you reach for media.
Midday Check. A quick mission status: how is your day actually going against what you set out to do this morning?
Evening Examen. Five questions to close the day in honest reflection with God.

THREE FORMATION TRACKS
Walk With Christ Daily — for general Christian formation
Beat Distraction — for those wrestling with phone addiction and digital noise
Purity & Discipline — for those in active recovery and sanctification

WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT
First Things is not a content library. It's a formation system. Every day, you complete a real rhythm of practices designed to shape the kind of person who walks with God — not just thinks about Him.

AI COACHING grounded in your formation track. Ask honest questions and receive guidance rooted in Scripture and your specific formation context.

VULNERABILITY SCORE — track your formation state honestly. Steady, Watch, Pause, or Anchor. Know when to lean in, and when to slow down.

BATTLE PLAN — when temptation hits, follow your pre-planned response.

JOURNAL — your reflections, prayers, and Examen answers stay private and on-device.

OFFLINE BIBLE — five translations (KJV, ASV, WEB, BBE, YLT), 66 books, no internet required.

NO ACCOUNTS. NO TRACKING. ON-DEVICE FIRST.
We don't make you sign up. We don't track you. Your formation journal stays on your phone where it belongs.

FREE: Bible reader, prayer tools, manifesto, scripture memory, formation library.
PREMIUM ($9.99/month or $59.99/year): Daily rhythm + AI coaching. 7-day free trial.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.1.2 — 2026-06-03

This update makes Scripture easier to reach and adds quite a few improvements:

- A new "Read the Bible" entry on the Today screen — Scripture is one tap away from where your day begins.
- Polish and stability fixes throughout, including the launch screen.

Keep showing up. The Spirit forges what we cannot manufacture.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-05-26

This release reorganizes First Things around a clearer path of formation.

The Atlas is new — a map of spiritual practices grouped into six areas: Attention, Confession, Intercession, Formation, Scripture, and Mission. Each practice carries teaching on what it is, who has practiced it through church history, what it forms in you, and how to begin.

The Forge is new — a place to track the disciplines you're building and see formation take shape over time.

Marks of Formation replaces the old achievements view. A mark isn't a score or a badge; it's a record of what the Spirit's work is leaving in you.

The app is reorganized into four areas — Today, Journal, Atlas, and Forge — so the practices that were buried in settings are now where you can find them.

Plus refinements throughout: a refreshed identity, smoother navigation, and stability fixes.

### 1.0 — 2026-05-25
