Firstly, it is a shame it doesn't give the phonics of each letter as this is the best way to teach toddlers the sounds of letters. It is a very simple app and perhaps too simple and therefore boring. My toddler only gave it a go for less than a minute. A waste of money. ### 1/5 — Great for Special Needs Kids & Pre-K *2012-03-31, version 4.1* My special needs daughter loves it. Teaches letters, words, fine motor skills, and matching. Highly interactive, with positive reward (instant gratification). We play it daily. I wish more educational apps were as good as this one! Opportunities for improvement would be to add a second level that would join words into short sentences and/or to create sight word stories after completing every 5 words. However, what isn't made clear is that this limits you to three letter words only. I'll be requesting a refund. The reason for this is so that they can experience the relationship between what they say and what the read. reinforcement and learning of letter sounds. My kids could play it before they knew the letters, helping them become familiar with the sounds to letter, and then now they can read it’s great to help reinforce the letter sounds and how they blend to make words. Would be great if it has more than about 20 words, but it covers I think all the letters.
