Audio does not play through the Apple Control Center audio. It only comes from the app. It is as if the audio is not recognized. This is the best part of my morning. The recent YouTube, but it’s still persistent. My only complaint is that several times recently the music video does not appear when I’m using my iPad (I have updated the app). Why is the person recording the devotionals speed reading? His previous voice was so soothing and easy to follow. It was nice to listen to and the slower reading allowed the words to sink in. Maybe it’s just me, but whatever is reason the change isn’t what I need. Typos need to be fixed. It’s part of my morning soak. I find it a bit jarring - even upsetting, to be honest- to have the familiar, soothing voice suddenly change with no explanation. It’s like losing a friend. What happened? Is this temporary? Is he ok? I honestly don’t enjoy the new voice as well, but I suppose I’ll get used to it. Please let your listeners know what’s going on! I have tried reinstalling but nothing changes. ### 5/5 — Best Devo app I’ve found! *2024-04-25, version 2.1.29* By far the best devotional app I found! I’m constantly encouraged and challenge. It’s hard to put into words, but it meets you in a much deeper place than other devotionals I’ve used. A big part is definitely the listening prayer and meditation time. Actually making space to be quiet, and room for the Holy Spirit to speak to my heart has been incredible. Then, obviously, since it only takes about 15 minutes each day, I have no excuses to not spend time with God every day! ### 3/5 — Opens again *2024-03-21, version 2.1.29* Thank you for the most recent update that now opens to the devotional that makes my day start looking up. Just get a black screen. ### 1/5 — Change can be good but… *2024-06-11* I have been thoroughly enjoying this app for the past year - there are so many positives about the content and format - although I played mine back at .75 speed bc I’m not a morning person and need to slow it down to absorb it all. 5 stars for sure! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ However…. the recent change of speakers has changed my opinion of the app. Like the previous speaker, this one is still too fast for me to play at normal speed, which I can adjust. No big deal - that’s my preference. But with all due respect, and I don’t mean to be unkind, the tone of this new voice is so harsh on my ears I can’t focus on the content. Where did the last person go? It would be really helpful if the app had a choice a voices - everyone has preferences - male or female or different accents - because the content is FABULOUS, but I will just have to read it from now on. But why fix what wasn’t broken with this new updated format? The new layout has no flow, is cold in appearance and has no user settings, such as for low light settings, and no Help section. And to get rid of the community comments, which personalized the daily devotional, has spoiled it for me. But, it’s not about me, it’s about Jesus! The only suggestion I have is a caption for dark mode. My eyes have difficulty seeing with the brightness of the white background. Thank you. ### 5/5 — I love this app but wish it had a dark mode option for visually impaired users 🙏🏻 *2025-05-22* I absolutely love this app. It’s how I start every day, but I am visually impaired and I have recommended this to many others who are all also visually impaired. If there was a dark mode selection, it would be a lot easier for the visually impaired to view. First 15 has helped me form a healthy habit and for months this has been such a great experience. I’m learning more about scripture in a deeper more meaningful way. There is a prayer each day that goes with the days scripture. I’m using the free edition but you do have the option to use the chat feature as well. ### 5/5 — Great Day Starter *2025-05-20, version 2.2.4* I really got dedicated to listening to First 15 right when I got up in the morning. Then my prayer time. Now it’s led me to reading my Bible in the morning all before I leave to work. God is with us and the more we prepare spiritually the better we are equipped for day to day life. The app is a good resource but know God is the answer and the app helps get you the word. As it took me a while to get back into reading the Bible. Thank you God and thank you First15.
