## What is Fish Aides?

Fish Aides is the private app for members of Fish Aides, a freshman leadership organization at Texas A&M. It makes it easy and normal to hang out with anyone in the group.

A NEW LUNCH BUDDY EVERY WEEK
Every week you get a new lunch buddy. You never get the same buddy twice. Fish Aides suggests times you're both free. If you connect your calendar, only busy times are used, never event names or details.

MAKE PLANS AND TEAM UP
Make a plan with your buddy in seconds, open it up to other pairs, or join theirs.

DOWN TO HANG
Post events and see who's coming. Tap I'm in right from the notification.

PHOTOS AND VIDEOS
Share photos and videos from hangouts and events, tag friends, comment and react. Event albums keep everything together.

CHAT
Group channels, group chats and direct messages, with photos, videos, polls, replies, and Booyahs to celebrate each other.

FOR CO-CHAIRS AND DIRECTORS
Preview and adjust next week's pairings, manage members and invite codes, send announcements, and review reports.

MEETING CHECK-INS
Scan the QR code at meetings to check in. Leadership sees who attended.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Only members with an invite code can join.

You need an invite code from your Co-Chairs to join.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-10-29

Videos are here!
• Share videos up to 3 minutes in Photos and in chat, in full HD.
• Videos play on their own in the feed (muted until you tap the speaker). Tap one to watch it full screen with sound, and swipe down to close.
• The feed now uses a taller 4:5 frame, so portrait photos and videos show more.
• Tap an album's name on a post to open that album.

Chat
• Photos and videos sit on their own, like Messages, with your words in a bubble below.
• @mentions in the Guys and Girls channels only suggest people in that channel.
• Chat info shows everyone in the chat. Tap anyone to see their profile.
• Nominating a Booyah is quicker: pick people, then say what they did.
• Lots of small fixes and polish.
