### 4/5 — Lacking Species

*2026-08-21, version 1.9*

I miss the snails and seahorses from the FF3!

### 4/5 — Great Promise- potential changes

*2026-08-01, version 1.9*

Phenomenal game for the most part. I love the structure and atmosphere in this iteration of Fish Farm. I’ve played since the first release. The in-game pop up ads every three minutes are a bit much, but I’m glad they’re relatively short.

My main gripes are that recolored fish should produce other recolored fish when bred with one another instead of having to use gems every time. And most importantly, the controls for the Eat Fish game are too unstable. The joystick’s position, at the lower righthand corner, is a setup for issues with finger slipping offscreen. Please help a loyal customer.

I really do enjoy and appreciate your games. I have always support monetarily.

### 3/5 — App Store issues

*2026-07-27, version 1.9*

Can’t really see the food you drop. Can’t upgrade tank sizes so have to start over when you want a bigger tank. CAN’T LIMIT NOTIFICATIONS very very annoying (eggs hatched, fish are hungry, fish are grown). The 3D aspect doesn’t help much and looks worse for jellyfish tank (compared to Fish Farm 3). Fewer sustainability features are available by playing, and require monetary purchases.

My main gripe is that recolored fish should produce other recolored fish when bred with one another instead of having to use gems every time. Most importantly, the controls for the Eat Fish game are too unstable. The joystick’s position at the further lefthand corner, it’s a setup for issues with finger slipping offscreen. Lastly, I really do enjoy and appreciate your game. I will always support monetarily.

**Developer response:** Thanks for supporting the series since day one!
Here is the info on your gripes:
Joystick: The joystick can be placed freely. It can be fixed in a position or reposition itself with each click.
Colors: In FF4, you cross-breed general species, not your specific specimen. Because of this, you don't need to actually own a fish to breed it. For cross-breeding, color inheritance is therefore impossible. However, we might consider it for normal breeding.
Ads: The short ads keep the game free to play, but an ad-removal purchase is available.

### 4/5 — Good but…

*2026-07-02, version 1.9*

Amazing graphics. It would be nice to exchange gems for Xp, and reverse currency exchanges such as coins for gems and gems for coins.

### 4/5 — Good game. One little problem

*2026-05-18, version 1.8*

It’s a really good game I have no other problems than this. I have a problem with the rate at which I level up and the fact I have to spend more money then what I earn for fish. I don’t know if I’m doing it wrong but that’s my issue.

### 4/5 — おしい

*2026-05-15*

### 3/5 — Gems/coins

*2026-04-10, version 1.8*

I rather enjoy the game but do think fish I purchase with gems/diamonds should either sell for more than the other fish or give me gems back in return, that mechanic makes no sense to me. Other than that it’s been fun rearranging aquariums a ridiculous amount of times with zero repercussions.

### 2/5 — Grafik

*2026-04-05*

### 3/5 — Love it except the no add issue

*2026-03-27, version 1.8*

Good game, wish it had a permanent forever no ads feature, not the weird 30 days one

### 5/5 — 서식지 주세요

*2026-03-26*

### 3/5 — DEVS PLS PAY ATTENTION

*2026-03-24, version 1.8*

The game is absolutely phenomenal, and I don’t have many complaints. EXCEPT FOR A BIG ONE, the cost to get more and more aquariums, specifically the gems. I LOVE AQUARIUMS, but after a while the cost to get more of them gets extremely high. Currently I have 12 Aquariums and to get another I need 120 gems I cannot GET THAT AMOUNT FAST, and it’s very frustrating. I wish there was an alternative option to make getting aquariums just a tiny bit more manageable and affordable, maybe have an option to pay with coin. It can still be a ridicules amount to pay, but it would be easier to achieve. I also don’t participate in the mini games often, because I simply prefer to stare at my aquariums and take care of my fish, so getting gems is HARD.

Also it is not fair that a fish that I buy FOR GEMS can only be sold for COIN. I want fish BOUGHT FOR GEMS TO BE SOLD FOR GEMS.

### 2/5 — Bug

*2026-03-18, version 1.8*

Was enjoying the game until my fish stopped growing , I buy them and they never grow whether in online or not…

### 5/5 — Best!!!

*2026-03-17, version 1.8*

Easily the best aquarium/fish keeping game I've ever downloaded. Thank you for your hard work and I can't wait to see how far it progresses!

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing!!

*2026-03-11, version 1.8*

I really love this game. It’s honestly one of the most realistic and enjoyable aquarium games on the App Store. You can tell the developers put a lot of thought and care into the details, and it really shows in how the fish look and how the aquariums function. It’s relaxing, fun, and clearly made by people who care about the experience.

One suggestion I would love to see in the future would be the option to display aquariums inside a room environment, similar to the style used in Behind Glass. I think that kind of perspective would make the tanks feel even more immersive. It could also be interesting to expand the water chemistry mechanics a bit more, like adding pH balance or similar parameters for players who enjoy the realism side of aquarium keeping.

Overall though, this is an amazing game and one of my favorites on the App Store. Thank you to the developers for creating such a great aquarium experience.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Absolute Klasse

*2026-06-22*

Entwickler sind nur auf Steine aus !!!! Geldgier. !!!!
Habe fast hundert Euro hier ausgegeben .

### 1/5 — Absolute Klasse

*2026-06-04*

Aber meine Aquarien haben keine Kapazität mehr 😔
Bitte Fehler beheben !!!!
Habe viel Geld investiert !!!

**Developer response:** Danke für die gute Bewertung.

### 1/5 — Hard

*2026-05-25, version 1.8*

Its really hard to find things and adjust, interface is really annoying

### 1/5 — Pop up ads

*2026-04-27, version 1.8*

Please watch the pop up ad before seeing this review

### 1/5 — Game is rigged to make you spend money

*2026-03-04, version 1.8*

I normally do not leave reviews, but this game honestly deserves 1 star.

The diamond coin system is ridiculous. Many of the fish you actually want require diamonds, but the game makes it extremely difficult to earn diamonds unless you pay real money. It makes it nearly impossible to progress or get the fish you want without spending money.

What makes even less sense is that you pay diamond coins to buy fish and then you have to spend more diamond coins just to breed them. But when you sell the fish you only get regular coins back instead of diamonds. That makes absolutely no sense. Also fish that you capture you have to pay for delivery in diamond coins. Not cool

The whole system feels like it is designed to make you spend money. Apparently the developers are not satisfied with the unlimited amount of ads either.

I do not mind watching ads as long as the reward is worth it, but most of the time the rewards are tiny compared to how expensive everything is with diamonds.

The game could actually be fun, but the way the economy is set up completely ruins the experience. It feels more like a cash grab than a game.

### 1/5 — Required ads, no permanent way to disable them.

*2025-12-18, version 1.6*

I really wish this information was available before we wasted each other’s time.

I’m willing to pay a modest amount to permanently disable ads. Or full price for a full game.

I will never play a game that doesn’t let me have a permanent ad free experience. Period.

### 1/5 — Huge downgrade from Fish Farm 3

*2025-11-08, version 1.6*

I tried submitting a review w week ago and it looks like it didn’t get through. Is the app store deleting negative reviews?

Anyway, what I loved about this series was how fair and reasonably priced it was. You could purchase a few addons in 2 & 3 to unlock the entire game without needing to engage with ads or further micro-transactions. This was very fair and I was happy to drop $15-20 for a complete game. Fish Farm 4 is the complete opposite. At every turn I feel like I'm being extorted for money to make progress. Prices are high, and you need a ridiculous amount of the paid currency to make any real progress. The whole game is so greedy compared to past entires. And while the fish look better than past entries, the 3D tanks floating in a void actually feel worse to look at than the full-screen, static environments in 3.

All around, this entry is a massive disappointment from my formerly favourite aquarium series. I suggest playing 3 instead.

### 1/5 — Abzocke

*2025-11-06*

seit dem letzten Update muss man für die Zucht vieler Fische mit Diamanten bezahlen, was vorher noch mit Talern möglich war!
und es wird nicht darauf hingewiesen.

**Developer response:** Ja das war ein Fehler in der letzten Version.

### 1/5 — Get fish farm 3 instead

*2025-10-18, version 1.5.1*

I loved both fish farm 2 and 3. I was excited to see a new instalment, but the unskippable ads are an INSTANT no! If we could permanently disable ads, it might be worth it, but $2 only gives you a 30 day reprieve. Not worth it at all. Plus the prices for the other QoL addons, which I happily purchased on older versions BECAUSE THE PRICE WAS FAIR are now EXORBITANTLY expensive. So sad to see greed take over my favourite aquarium series. There aren’t a lot of decent aquarium games out there.

LET US PERMANENTLY DISABLE ADS.

### 1/5 — App Store issues

*2025-10-18, version 1.5.1*

You or apple won’t let me submit a review with a confirmation that it has been submitted or would be reviewed or published. Also, it seems that you are curating your reviews for positive promotion. Just be honest.

### 5/5 — Greatest Aquarium \ Fishsim Game on the market, keep going! 👍👍

*2026-06-18*

Congrats! Here are some ideas for add-on’s
1. More coral types with different patterns and colors plus growing and spreading
2. Saltwater invertebrates, like sea stars, shrimps, seahorses, sea needles, octopuses (these will be definitely difficult to animate), sea snails all in different muster and able to grow
3. Freshwater invertebrates, shrimp, some different muster for fish like goldfish and betta fish
4. Plants for freshwater like bottom plants creeping and spreading on the bottom of the tank and also floating plants for the surface
5 Plants for saltwater or better said algae, like green and red algae, seaweed also.
Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Awesome game

*2026-06-17*

This has to be one of the best aquarium games i have found, the 3D graphics make it an amazing game…Being able to turn the tank around and see it from all sides like a real aquarium makes it the best, Love it!

**Developer response:** Thanks for your review!

### 5/5 — Fishies

*2026-05-29, version 1.8*

Lots and lots of fish!

### 5/5 — Spectacular

*2026-05-21, version 1.8*

A fun way to meaningfully pass the time. Best Mobil game ever!!! For realz!!!!

### 5/5 — Pretty great game!

*2026-04-19, version 1.8*

It’s simple, you take care of fish; buy, breed, sell. You decorate and upgrade the tanks.
That alone gives it 2 stars.
What makes the game really nice are the good graphics and good simulations. Isn’t super glitchy or fidgety like some which is nice.
Another thing is that the secondary currency, although it is a little bit more difficult to obtain, you aren’t shoving money requests and adds down our throats. Very nice!

### 5/5 — Love this game!!

*2026-04-17, version 1.8*

I’ve been playing for months now and I’m obsessed! I don’t have my own fish tanks so it’s really fun as someone who loves fish :)

### 5/5 — Cash exchange

*2026-04-06, version 1.8*

I love fish farm 4 I enjoy playing it. Is it possible to have cash exchange that previous fish farm games have fish farm 1 and 3 have that option just wondering?
Thanks

### 5/5 — Absolute Klasse
