### 2/5 — Was OK, now crashes after Apple IOS update

*2026-04-19, version 2025.245.1*

Used to be OK! Now I can’t use the AP following an IOS update on my iPad. Deleting and re-installing the app hasn’t fixed this for me.

### 2/5 — Rip off

*2026-01-07, version 2025.242.0*

Since November, they now require you to buy snook & lobster licenses when you buy an annual saltwater non-resident license. They also no longer let you buy a 3-day or 7-day non-resident license on this app or online: they force you wait in line for 90+ minutes at a county tax collector’s office!

I expect this from the People’s Republic of Illinois, not from Florida.

### 1/5 — Won’t open

*2025-11-25, version 2025.242.0*

App updated, now will not work on iPad. Have tried everything, called three times, told there is nothing they can do!

### 1/5 — Piss poor

*2025-11-24, version 2025.242.0*

Fl f&w removed 3 and 7 day non res. fishing licenses.
The website says they should b purchased on this app.
This app doesn’t even sell them. The scum bags want u to go to an office m-Friday. On ur vacation. Cause the app was too easy i guess.
No stars.

### 3/5 — Okayish

*2025-10-17, version 2025.239.0*

Overall, the app is not bad, but at times it is inaccurate. It doesn’t always sync with the current license permits. that I have. As of now it will not update and show my recent reissue permit even though it’s on the main site.

### 2/5 — Missing licenses

*2025-10-05, version 2025.239.0*

The app seems to overall work fine, but it’s missing some of the licenses that are available like saltwater shoreline.

### 2/5 — Pretty Terrible

*2025-08-31, version 2025.235.0*

Freezes up frequently, cant get passed account set up. Needs some work.

### 1/5 — This app is slow to update and load

*2025-08-09, version 2025.235.0*

Too slow update your app

### 1/5 — Doesn’t show quota permits anymore

*2025-07-17, version 2025.235.0*

It used to show quota permits now it doesn’t that was half the apps worth.

### 1/5 — Annoying

*2025-06-16, version 2025.235.0*

You have to log in each time if you want to buy a license. It also logs you out when you switch to another app briefly.

### 1/5 — Pitiful for a state

*2025-03-28, version 2024.233.0*

Buttons won't click, it kicks me off the app, won't let me create a account

### 1/5 — Fix the app

*2025-02-03, version 2024.228.0*

Why is nothing done about the fact that this app crashes every time you get on it and attempt to enter anybody into “hunts it kicks you off makes you log back in again numerous times just to try to get your application entered. And why every time that I logon do I have to certify the information that I just certified yesterday last week the week before the week week before the week before?

### 1/5 — Trash

*2024-12-30, version 2024.228.0*

App is glitchy

### 4/5 — NIIICCCEEE!!!

*2024-09-22, version 2024.226.0*

Enjoying it so far. Just wish I discovered it before I renewed this year. How about a card for the Apple or Google wallet?! If I can have store reward cards in my digital wallet, I should be able to have my fishing license in there also.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worthless for visitors

*2026-04-04, version 2025.245.1*

Will not sell 3 or 7 day licenses anymore. Makes it useless for the people that need the app the most.

### 1/5 — Red Tape Bureaucracy

*2026-03-29, version 2025.245.1*

You cannot buy 3 or 7 day licenses on this app, hair stores aren’t selling, wall marts FWC devices are in constant upgrade, no FWC on duty over the weekend, and tax collectors office closed too. I’m going fishing, come get me.

### 1/5 — They don’t sell 3/7 day licenses in app

*2026-03-28, version 2025.245.1*

The app is trash. Also, it’s very scammy to intentionally stop selling 3 or 7 day licenses online. There’s zero justification for that. Way to inconvenience visitors already spending money in your state. Go to an ace hardware instead and skip the app.

### 1/5 — Ridiculous

*2026-03-26, version 2025.245.1*

Still cannot buy a 3 day non-resident license and forced to pay for a full year license plus forced to pay for a Lobster license and Snook license for no reason. I bought the license but should have just skipped it and taken the chance

### 1/5 — Won’t load on iPad

*2026-03-08, version 2025.245.1*

App crashes immediately upon opening. Every time!

### 1/5 — Price Gouging

*2026-02-25, version 2025.242.0*

They no longer offer 3 day nonresident saltwater fishing licenses online. The app directs you to bait stores that do not sell licenses anymore. The state expects you to visit a DMV or other government establishment to receive your 3 day license. So Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm which is ridiculous considering the majority of individuals are purchasing this for one or two time use on their vacation. Once you click annual license, the price states $49. Once you go to buy you must procure two other licenses as well even though they do not apply to you. As a consistent visitor to Florida this is an extremely frustrating update. It has not been this way the past several years. It is outrageous to charge $65 for someone to fish on the weekend just cause they can’t get to a government building on their vacation. While I purchased a license it is quite obvious that this update will only lead to more visitors illegally fishing. Hopefully this is corrected cause it seems extremely coordinated to put visiting fisherman in a bind which results in a more expensive license purchased for the state. (NO STARS)

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work

*2026-01-30, version 2025.242.0*

Cannot buy a license unless you also want to buy Worthless. Plus, the information is less than the website. The App should contain information on size limits etc….

### 1/5 — Will not work on an Ipad

*2026-01-29, version 2025.242.0*

Will not work on an Ipad

### 1/5 — Will not load licences

*2026-01-27, version 2025.242.0*

I have had this app for years and after the last auto renew I pull up my profile and it said no licensees found

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2026-01-01, version 2025.242.0*

You can’t create an account, because it just keeps saying you didn’t enter correct information in all the blocks, but doesn’t tell you which one is missing. Tried five times, with same result. It figures that are government doesn’t know how to figure out technology.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Senior license

*2026-01-18, version 2025.242.0*

It would be helpful if I could get a hard copy of a senior license. Something I can hold in my hand.

Is there such a card?

### 5/5 — Nice App

*2026-01-07, version 2025.242.0*

No problems, does what it should.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2025-09-17, version 2025.239.0*

This app is awesome it gives people access to fishing and hunting licenses at hand! It’s rare to catch some species so if you catch a keeper it’s easy to go on to the app and buy a permit when needed. Such as for snook. I appreciate the effort you guys put into this app. Never really dealt with tags or permits for game animals other than fish so consider my comment regarding the fishing aspect of the app!

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-05-08, version 2025.235.0*

So easy and since everyone always has their phone….

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-02-21, version 2024.233.0*

The FWC app is an outstanding resource for anyone who enjoys fishing and the outdoors. Its user-friendly design makes it easy to find everything you need, from fish species identification to regulations and limits. The convenience of a virtual license allowing you to carry your license digitally without worry. The wealth of information provided ensures that anglers stay informed and compliant with the latest rules. Whether you’re a seasoned fisherman or just getting started. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2025-02-04*

4.5 Stars – Great App, But Needs a Small Fix

The Florida Wildlife Commission app is super convenient! Having all my licenses digitally on my phone makes it easy to access them whenever I need. It loads fast, is user-friendly, and navigating through different sections is a breeze. Plus, it’s packed with helpful information on species, limits, tag quotas, and seasons.

The only thing I’d change is how the app handles licenses when switching phones or reinstalling. Even after entering my information, the “My Licenses” section doesn’t always load which licenses are active or due to expire. Fixing this would make the app perfect!

### 5/5 — Convenient app and extremely helpful

*2024-09-16, version 2024.226.0*

As I age, I sometimes find that remembering hunting dates for specific species more difficult to remember. This is especially true for doe and turkey harvest seasons.

The app is so helpful in having the rules, regulations, feeding times, sunrise/sunset, marine data, and so many other features. The software has continuously been updated since its inception. I love it.

One improvement that I would find helpful would be to add the day of the week to the feeding times. I have always used those for hunting and fishing. The data is extremely useful and accurate in my decades of experience.

Thank you for your continued commitment to this app and continued improvements based on feedback.

### 5/5 — One App Stop

*2024-07-27, version 2024.226.0*

Can we add our boating safety education id card to this app? That would be a great addition to an otherwise convenient app.

### 5/5 — Better!

*2023-05-12, version 2023.217.0*

So much easier to find my license now! Thanks for updating

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-03-02*

I use the feeding time tool every time I go out fishing. It does seem to have pretty good accuracy on when the fish are feeding. I don’t quite understand what the stars are for, maybe perhaps the quality of the fishing day? But I really do enjoy using this app.

**Developer response:** Hi Donald,

We are pleased that you enjoyed the app, and we thank you for your positive feedback! Have a wonderful day!
