Was great app now trash with the ads update. UPDATE: Developer has fixed issues. Running smoother with ads not locking up App. ### 2/5 — Used to be good *2025-11-14, version 6.84.6* They just put full screen ads in this app that block you from scrolling down to see the fish list to get to the fish you are looking for. I understand ads to monetize an app, but if the app isn’t functional because of the ads, it won’t monetize you at all. If they don’t fix this quickly, I will be deleting this app. ### 2/5 — Don’t bother contact them, they won’t respond *2025-09-25* I installed this app because a friend highly recommended it and spoke very well about it. At first, I was excited to try it out. However, my experience has been nothing but frustrating. I tried to log in through Gmail and followed all the instructions. According to the FAQs, I needed to enable two-factor authentication, which I already have. I even tried registering with my regular email, and while I was able to create the account successfully, I simply cannot log in on the iS app. I'm using an iPhone, and no matter what I do, it just won't let me in. I reached out to support by email, created a ticket, and even sent them screenshots and videos explaining the issue. Up until now, I haven't received a single response. It really feels like unless you pay for a membership, a subscription, or some other service, they just ignore you completely. The app itself seems to provide good information, but what's the point if I can't even unlock its potential because I'm not able to log in? But for some reason, Michigan is not supported. I manually set my location to Michigan, and it said “no location set”. I did the same for other states, and it was fine. It is just Michigan. And this is a problem, because I live in and fish mostly in Michigan. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and that didn’t work. I have not been seeing Porgy (Scup) and Summer Flounder (Fluke). I’ve sent two messages without a response. This is my third attempt for support hoping that a low rating will get a reply. Thanks. ### 3/5 — formatting issues with pro max series… *2025-01-18, version 6.74.30* When clicking on the photos of the fish, the bottom left corner “close” button is cutoff. A really simple solution would to be turning the .cornerradius to a lower number, but this is an issue i was surprised to see on such a well developed app otherwise. ### 4/5 — Fish ID feature is non existent *2024-12-06* UPDATE After using the app, to be fair, this is more about Fish RULES. In that regard, this app does the job very well. It’s in fact probably the best out there. Fish ID is not really a prominent feature (just for now, hope.) 1-star upgraded to 4. I bought a 1-year subscription because I thought the fish identification feature would work very well with the rules on species limits. It turns out you may get a response to your photo 49 hours later (maybe) in your email. Needless to say, it won’t help you if a warden comes along. Huh??? *2024-09-17* Love the fish rules app. It is a must have if your fishing in Florida. - My one annoyance is that it lists the days CLOSED rather that days OPENED. It really absolutely backwards. Never have I seen a business advertise when they are closed rather than when they are opened. The app does this and you have to figure when you can fish versus making plain and straightforward. If I can’t get this resolved I’ll have to make a complaint with apple to get a refund unfortunately. It only took a couple minutes to learn to use and has been very helpful in determining fish species, relevant angling regulations, and even determining if a species is decent table fare!
