### 2/5 — Not great

*2026-08-26, version 9.61.0*

Shows good spots but has the worst UI I’ve ever experienced and is constantly trying to get you to pay for their subscription

### 4/5 — Not enough options

*2026-08-24, version 9.60.0*

The free version is great but it could use some more options

### 4/5 — 4/5

*2026-08-24, version 9.60.0*

This app would’ve been given a 5/5 if it weren’t for the fact that out of curiosity I looked up to see if there were any freshwater bull shark catches in the area by Neuse river and instead I was brought to a post with someone’s picture that was clearly from the early 2000s was taken from inside of their home. I know this bc the app is so accurate it I clicked view map and it showed the person’s home. That to me is a safety concern. I think the posts should actually be reviewed or as far as where the picture was taken. Idk anyone in NC that has freshwater in their back yard with bull sharks in it and I don’t think anyone else from NC knows anyone that does either. Other than that I say this app is amazing. Be mindful of where you are taking your pictures. Remember this app was made for REAL TIME or RECENT catches within the area not for taking pictures in your home. Nobody is gonna go fishing in your house 😭!

### 3/5 — It is mid

*2026-08-24, version 9.60.0*

It is a good app it is just not the best if you don’t have premium.

### 2/5 — Buns

*2026-08-20, version 9.60.0*

Every thing cost money

### 5/5 — Connor Robertson

*2026-08-20, version 9.60.0*

Best app for fishing I have ever seen

### 5/5 — Fun

*2026-08-19, version 9.60.0*

Really cool the only thing is that a lot of features are only available if you pay.

### 4/5 — 🐟🧠⛹️‍♂️

*2026-08-19, version 9.60.0*

$150/yr for fish brain pro is diabolical

### 3/5 — Okay

*2026-08-19, version 9.60.0*

Too dependent on the fact that you buy the premium version, but overall good

### 5/5 — Better than fish AI

*2026-08-19, version 9.60.0*

Compared to fish ai I can use a lot more features without having to pay where as fish ai I can’t access barely anything

### 2/5 — Wish the first original perks were available.

*2026-08-18, version 9.60.0*

This app is great to reach out to the fishing community and help new ones get started, but in the last couple years more and more features are taken away to be added to the paid subscription . I believe that if you want to see the hotspots or avionics, that merits having to pay for a subscription. But simply looking at previous catches at lakes shouldn’t be a reason to pay for a subscription.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2026-08-18, version 9.60.0*

This app helped me log my caches and she others I rlly enjoy using the Fishbrain app

### 2/5 — Looks fun but primum

*2026-08-18, version 9.60.0*

Look like a generaly good app if your willing to spend money but if you don’t really you just see what other people caught because the guides are almost all part of the pro subscription

### 4/5 — Nice

*2026-08-17, version 9.60.0*

I like the app but my only problem of thing that could make it better is it should have its own ai so you can kinda ask about fishing before going to the spot but I use this the most out of all my fishing apps

### 4/5 — Great but not great

*2026-08-17, version 9.60.0*

Great app but have to spent money on too many things

### 4/5 — Great app could be better

*2026-08-17, version 9.60.0*

I love this app sharing my catches with my community and the world is so fun. Learning and teaching others about fishing is great and super easy on this app although I wish the app had more features like depth chart maps and seeing where people caught there fish without having to pay extra but besides that great app love it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-08-24, version 9.60.0*

You can only see bluegill. NOTHING ELSE. I’m not paying 100 BUCKS for a whole year to see other fish. It says it’s free but it’s just a pay to use. Absolutely HORRENDOUS. Maybe I would use it if it wasn’t a pay to win. Ridiculous.

### 1/5 — $$$$

*2026-08-22, version 9.60.0*

Basically nothing useful unless your willing to cough up some shekels for information

### 1/5 — “Free” trial!

*2026-08-19, version 9.60.0*

The instant I selected “Free 7-Day Trial” I was billed $79.99 for an annual subscription.

I hadn’t even tried the app!

I *may* be able to get a refund through Apple in a couple days. I guess I won’t eat for two days.

### 1/5 — New bitetime is a joke

*2026-08-16, version 9.60.0*

I used this app for over a year. I paid for it most of that time. The old bite time actually showed fish people fish for near me. The new one has a list of fish not even around here. After trying to communicate this with their support. They changed it for a week and then it went back to a list of fish no one fishes. I wont pay again till they address the issue.

### 1/5 — Bad advertising

*2026-08-15, version 9.60.0*

Doesn’t say it includes a subscription, but it does

### 1/5 — Pay to use

*2026-08-15, version 9.60.0*

Used to be a great app, now you have to pay for it.

### 1/5 — Places are getting fished out

*2026-08-12, version 9.60.0*

I hate the app but unfortunately I’m addicted to it, this app is supposed to help people catch fish which it kind of does but people can post loads of catches to one spot which makes more and more people go there, my neighborhood pond wasn’t getting fished very much 2 years ago but now we have kids lined up against the banks fishing for bass making the fishing highly pressured. It is a large pond but it has 950 catches and is so fished out and my lake spot is also getting fished out with more and more people coming every day. I don’t like FishBrain

### 1/5 — Could go good

*2026-08-12, version 9.60.0*

You have to pay for literally everything. You used to be able to do so much more without paying. It’s too bad this app has gone so downhill

### 1/5 — Even the free parts stopped working

*2026-08-08, version 9.59.0*

Don’t know if it was a recent update or something but even the free parts like the feed and map simply don’t work anymore. If the free parts don’t work how can someone pay for the premium parts of the app?

### 1/5 — Forced to pay.

*2026-08-07, version 9.59.0*

App used to be usable and enjoyable a few years ago. Now even the most simple basic feature are locked behind its payment wall.

### 5/5 — Good in picture

*2026-08-22, version 9.60.0*

It is a really good app, but I hate that you have to pay $80 a year to access the place where they caught the fish

### 5/5 — Fishbrain

*2026-08-21, version 9.60.0*

You should set the weight and length system when logging a fish to where people can set them to whatever they want I tried to enter a dink into my catches and the correct weight is 0.47 pounds but the length wasn’t that long probly 5.5 inches but it wouldn’t let me set the length less than 7

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-21, version 9.60.0*

This is really fun app to share your catches and a nice community.

### 5/5 — Fish
