There are a few glitches, such as if you touch your cards at the wrong time the panel will lock and you have to quit, and there seems to be an issue with what cards are available in endless mode (eg. The card you most recently added to your deck will not show up). I hope the developers keeps working on it and smooths it or, because it’s an addictive game but those issues can be frustrating. ### 4/5 — Gameplay prenant, difficulté à revoir *2025-05-27* Le concept du jeu est original, et j’ai beaucoup accroché. On a envie de passer les étapes, de progresser. Chaque boss a sa spécificité, qu’il faut apprendre à gérer au mieux. Vu le prix, très abordable, je ne regrette absolument pas l’achat. En revanche, si je devais faire une critique : les paliers de difficulté son à revoir. Mer 1, on passe les yeux fermés dès la première partie. Mer 2, il faut le prendre en main, améliorer un peu son deck, mais ça finit par passer assez rapidement. Mer 3, si le boss se pointe, impossible. Le niveau de difficulté augmente d’un coup. Hard enough to keep you challenged, and easy enough (as you level up) to be mindless fun. The leveling is paced really well (slowly) to help you learn the nuances of the game before conquering all the levels and getting bored. The artwork and sounds are great, and I love that there are no ads. This is a winner. ### 4/5 — Frustratingly fun *2023-01-06* Fisherman has an excellent game structure and the presentation is top notch. My only real issue is that the progress feels unbalanced. The game requires a lot of grinding and the grinding becomes repetitive. Good luck on beating the third level even after you have played a hundred games. It’s too bad that the progress requires so much grinding because there appears to be a lot more content to explore. After having played dozens of games, I’ve only managed to unlock three additional cards, one of which had no affect on the game and basically just gave me one additional coin per game. I thought that since the card (that I can’t find a description for) was in the special card section, it would do more than just be a different skin for a life preserver worth one coin. I’d get my hard earned 100 coins back if I could. The only other thing I’d prefer to be changed is that some of the cards could have more of an affect to them, but I also understand why the game would be kept simple. There is a lot to love about it. Quick to play, simple to learn, yet always a great mental puzzle. Progression is rewarding, and the higher levels are a real challenge. And it’s so inexpensive. Unfortunately, the quality of the English is poor, though this is not a heavily text-based game. Some game features are not explained at all, however, which is a bit of a double edged sword since it’s fun to discover things but also not enjoyable to not know if some belief about game mechanics is true. The worst aspect is the bad design: In this game, you mainly progress by catching fish, which is the currency used to purchase higher-level items needed to complete more difficult (and lucrative) stages. If you fail a run of a stage, you lose all fish you’ve caught during that run - this is frustrating, but could be acceptable. I only made it to the third stage. The problem is that it’s difficult to catch enough fish to buy the items to complete the third stage. The first stage is too easy and doesn’t offer many fish, but the boss of the second, in an astonishing design decision, instantly removes all fish you have caught when it appears. This means that you can’t reliably earn all that much fish from the second stage either. Don’t buy! There are better games out there. ### 1/5 — App continually crashes *2022-01-06* Bought this thinking it sounded fun but I haven’t been able to get it to start. It just shows a black screen and then dumps me out. But it is impossible to clear the third level without the good items. Even if you are very lucky and good at strategy games, you cannot clear the level. To buy the good items, you have to keep repeating the level 1 or 2 almost 100 times. I got bored soon. ### 3/5 — Need low price on the Deck *2021-06-07* Not a game, but a stupid jerk-off. In general, this card game deserves a lot more attention because it perfectly and skillfully serves the current spirit of minigames in a mobile format. There also no hidden costs here. Maybe a publication on “Steam” etc. would increase the awareness. More about the game: The game system is quickly understood, so hardly any explanation is necessary. The adventure is beautifully designed and new, interesting items can always be unlocked so that you can advance to further levels. I haven't discovered any bugs and the application don't cause any problems. For my impression the third level is a bit too difficult and also the endboss ist too strong, but these really just small things. Improvement: Perhaps you could end up improving the difficulty with more epic cards by linking their receipt to XP points. For example, by a) a card called “Sedna” (Goddess of the Sea), which destroys all face-up opponent cards on the field. Or b) a special dice card, where, depending on the total rolled, any number of opponent cards are also be destroyed. I'm also missing c) a potion that increases life points to the maximum once. Maybe there is a way to implement these cards, this would benefit the game on the highest difficulty mode. In general, a DLC with additional waters and opponents would of course be a dream - there is still so much potential here.
