### 2/5 — Terrible

*2025-01-16, version 2.0.103*

Couldn’t get anything to connect to the app

### 4/5 — Good way to log catches

*2024-10-03*

I really like how I can log my catches by species and location. It’s nice to be able to go back and see where I caught fish. Fairly easy to mark them in, but it can be a little cumbersome if you want to enter a lot of information.

I would like to see a way to have a limited list(s) of fish to log. Right now every possible species is there. It would be much easier to have a way to hide/unhide fish. I don’t travel to fish, so I would like to limit the number of fish choices to the 20 I typically fish for. I don’t go offshore, or to exotic places. So having so many fish to go thru to log a catch is wasteful of my time.

Also a way to use a certain lure (toggle on or off) as a default for your next fish. I use the same fly for a while if I’m catching. Why should I have to search for it each fish?

Also it would be great to have a way to export the catch log to a spreadsheet

**Developer response:** Hey there!

Thank you so much for the review! We appreciate your feedback. Regarding the use of the same fly for each catch, if you start the trip and enter the gear you'll be using in the "Start Trip" screen, that gear will be associated with each catch. During the trip, if you want to change your fly, simply drop a gear-change waypoint, update the gear and then the new gear will be applied to each catch henceforth! We hope this helps!

### 3/5 — crash

*2024-07-31, version 2.0.100*

crashes everytime o try to add gear or sync a rod please fix. i really want to use this app lol

### 4/5 — Finally

*2024-07-02, version 2.0.97*

Glad to finally see development after like a 2 year abandonment.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2024-05-16, version 2.0.90*

Like the way you can track your trip.

### 1/5 — No Support!!

*2023-07-27, version 2.0.90*

Purchased Pro but cannot access any of the premium services. Good luck trying to find anyone to help. I can’t even find a refund option. I am beyond angry right now!

### 1/5 — SCAM!!! No longer works but still takes your money!!!

*2023-06-12, version 2.0.90*

I signed up, paid the $30, got to the page to put address for button and then crashed. All support goes to 404 page and I now see they’re out of business but THEY STILL TOOK THE MONEY!!! Hopefully apple gives my money back and takes this app down since it’s not functional making it 100% a scam!

### 3/5 — Could be better

*2023-04-11*

I have been using the app for a few months. I like the fact I can track my fishing trip. I upgraded to “Pro”. Unfortunately I can’t get any of the features to work. When I switch to any map other than the standard or add wind speed or weather the map just turns white. I’ve tried to contact ANGLR through their support, but that’s not working (looks like someone at the company forgot to pay their bill). I recently tried to visit the website and says “page can’t be found”. If the basic stuff that I paid for would work it would be nice. I would also like to be able to search for lakes/rivers through the app so I can research before tournaments. I tried contacting Anglr though instagram (no answer). Not surprised. Unless something changes quickly, I will be looking for a new app.

### 1/5 — Out of business

*2023-03-08, version 2.0.90*

I’ve been using Anglr since 2019. They are now apparently out of business. I got a canned email response to a question last week and no contact or follow up since. None of the map layers are working. They won’t respond, have not had an update in a year and have been silent on social media for 11 months. I ordered a new bullseye since mine died and it’s been crickets. They will still take your money for the pro upgrade though….

### 1/5 — Cancelling my pro

*2023-03-05, version 2.0.90*

Tech support never responds. I have submitted 10+ requests because I pay for pro but maps and NOAA charts simply don’t work. Waste of money because they don’t respond to fix what doesn’t work that you’re paying for. They are robbing you blind and don’t care to respond.

### 1/5 — Garbage Customer Support

*2023-02-18, version 2.0.90*

They sent a busted flic button and never responded to my support request. The button manufacturer was very helpful but can’t replace the button because they don’t have access to the firmware that Anglr uploads to its buttons. This app may or may not work for you but if you have any issues you are pretty much f**led because their customer support room is empty.

### 3/5 — Great but flaws

*2023-02-12, version 2.0.90*

Love to use the app to keep track of fish caught and location but unfortunately the service to find pictures in your camera roll does not work. Multiple pictures go unscanned and unfortunately no way to add them yourself. This simple flaw fixed and this app would be great.

### 1/5 — Bad product/bad support

*2023-02-07, version 2.0.90*

I Regret spending money on this app. App crashes all the time. Bullseye device quit working after a few weeks and opening issues with support got no response. Don’t waste your money.

### 3/5 — Support NEVER responds to emails

*2023-02-02, version 2.0.90*

I have emailed Anglr at least 3x in regards to never receiving my Bullseye device. I signed up and became a member and it’s been a few weeks now and still no device or response. Hopefully they see this review and decide to start acknowledging their emails….

### 2/5 — Has potential

*2023-01-15, version 2.0.90*

I like the app for what it was originally created for. Used it all the time but now it has become such a pain to the point that I will cancel my subscription and uninstall the app.
Pros:
Ease of use and the Apple Watch integration was a nice touch and makes it so much easier to use without having to pull out your phone while on the water kayaking. Great for logging your catches and where you caught them.

Cons:
Constantly keeps crashing. Every time I open it to start a trip it crashes. Select your gear.. it crashes. Try to start a trip with your watch… crashes or won’t even do it at all. Finally when you start the trip after numerous attempts it would either crash mid way or it won’t stop recording your trip even after you stop it on the phone or the watch.
Please fix the bugs and add the feature to at least edit the trip distance so it’s only tracking the time on the water.

### 1/5 — Going out of business

*2023-01-12*

Going out of business/not in business is the only logical conclusion I can come to when it comes to Anglr. So do not sign up for the pro subscription and do not try to use the Bullseye device. When I sent an email to customer service about my Bullseye being shipped to the wrong address I never got a response. When the Bullseye did arrive, thanks to USPS having my forwarding address, it was DOA. And when I sent an email to Anglr about to Bullseye being bad I never got a response. When I emailed Anglr about the bathymetry charts not working on the app I never got a response. And when I sent an email asking for a refund due to the poor app quality and Bullseye not working, I never got a response. And I feel it is unlikely Anglr will respond to this review. So I will never use Anglr again and will instead use the far superior FishBrain.

### 2/5 — The app is good BUT..

*2023-01-10*

Customer support is terrible. The app itself (when it works, there are frequent crashes even in the pro version)has some great features that I really enjoy, being able to see where I have been fishing and where along a stretch of bank catches came from is fantastic. Tracking total catches, miles walked and number of total trips is great, except when you forget to end a trip and end up with the drive home logged as an outing. The bullseye device is really cool and a convenient way to log a catch or waypoint… unfortunately the battery life is terrible, I got roughly 3 months of infrequent use out of mine before it died. I found this incredibly frustrating as I had just bought a Lowrance fish finder to connect to Anglr/bullseye when it stopped. Since getting the app in September of 2022, I have contacted support on 3 occasions and got 0 responses other than the auto generated reply. I had really looked forward to using this app for the foreseeable future but now… I just don’t know.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Wanted to like this

*2024-07-24, version 2.0.100*

App freezes up. The only way to fix it is turn off your phone. Even closing the app doesn’t work. Then when you try and log a catch, I keep getting an error about weather not being available or something. Even though it just logged another catch. I spent more time fussing with this app and less time actually fishing. Basically, it ruined my night of fishing. It could be great if it worked. But it didn’t on my phone with the latest version of iOS.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2024-07-24, version 2.0.100*

For a couple of years the app was adequate for recording fishing trips and logging catches.

This latest update practically killed the app.

Start a trip … error message though, it does start.

Log a catch … it crashes.

Restart app.

Log the catch a second time it will crash 50% of the time.

The other 50% of the time it says it cant record catch with weather and water conditions.

Load the Watch App and it drains the battery almost completely in a bout an hour.

Click the support link and get a 404 page not found error.

If I could rate less than 1 star, I would.

Remind me why I should allow you to mine and sell my data?

### 1/5 — No Support

*2024-05-24, version 2.0.90*

Check out the history of this app. Development and support stopped two years ago. The so called “software” company listed as the developer is collection subscription fees and doing nothing. Check out Anglr on LinkedIn and you’ll see who is responsible. Connect the dots…

Oh, the server that hosted all the support traffic has been shutdown. It is the same server I used when developing software for the FAA. A hand full of guys are keeping just enough media links active to make taking your subscription money legal.

### 1/5 — The apps not working

*2024-04-13, version 2.0.90*

The app won’t let me log in to my account it keeps giving me an internal server error message. I tried deleting and re installing but nothing helped

### 1/5 — Not adding photos

*2024-01-15, version 2.0.90*

Not adding my photos when it “magically” finds pictures.

### 1/5 — No support response

*2023-12-28, version 2.0.90*

I had to reset my phone 4 months ago and I’ve not been able to use pro feature since the reset. I’ve had a ticket open since November without response from support or via their social media pages. They went from extremely active to dead silent on March 31 2021. At this point there is no reason to believe they will come back. This is a huge let down.

Edit: I’ve not received a response to my ticket yet, nor have I been able to get ahold of the programmer. I actually wonder if he is even alive at this point. Rip Anglr. You had such a bright future.

### 1/5 — I can’t cancel my sub

*2023-11-03, version 2.0.90*

I got this way back in 2020. Used it once but they keep charging me every year. I have sent countless emails to try to cancel but no reply’s.

### 1/5 — Out of business

*2023-08-12, version 2.0.90*

Since spring if 2023 I have been e-mailing for support since i can’t get in my account. I get no response or a bot response, I even try to reset my pass word and i get sent to a blank web site.

Now I’ve lost all my fishing data that I stored on it.

My puck to Mark catches is even worthless since it works with the app.

Don’t waste your time with it

### 1/5 — No Customer Service

*2023-08-09, version 2.0.90*

This started out as a fun app. Over time challenges and other post from the company stopped. I submitted several questions but no answer. I renewed and need a new fob. Nothing. I just got an email indicating the subscription is coming up for renewal. There is a link that supposedly takes you to a page to change your payment options. The link takes you to their website but there is no away to manage your account much less change payment options or to cancel your subscription.

### 1/5 — BEWARE: Don’t Buy This!!!

*2023-08-03, version 2.0.90*

If you are buying this thinking you are going to get the bullseye device with your subscription since that is what it says is included $29. When you go to register for the decide to be sent to you, you just get a failed to load page. Don’t bother emailing their support team, honestly I don’t think they have one, just put a email link to one so they look legit. I emailed them last week and still haven’t heard anything. Bad thing is, Apple will not refund money for this companies fraudulent tactics. Don’t pay for this you will not get what you are expecting.

### 5/5 — Very comprehensive one stop shop!!

*2022-05-22, version 2.0.90*

### 5/5 — Great Device Great Customer Service

*2021-11-15, version 2.0.88*

Have used this device for almost two years now. As a tournament fisherman, having a log that records all of the details surrounding my catches has proven to be invaluable.
More importantly, I recently had an issue with my device and the Anglr customer service team was phenomenal! I can’t recommend this device and app enough.

### 5/5 — Great, I don’t fish without it!!

*2021-11-09, version 2.0.88*

### 5/5 — Love seeing my fishing trips!

*2021-10-24, version 2.0.86*

I love reliving me fishing trips with the replay feature! You guys are awesome!

### 5/5 — Great Customer Service if needed

*2021-10-18, version 2.0.86*

Changed my review from 1 star to 5 stars due to customer service getting back to me and taking care of the issue. I was a little impatient and didn’t realize they are not open over the weekend. They got back to me first thing Monday morning. Great app to keep track of all your fishing trends, especially if you compete in tournaments and want to be able to remember important info or see the trends in your area.

### 5/5 — Nice app

*2021-10-18, version 2.0.86*

No complaints yet. Tracks on GPS very well and doesn’t use a whole lot of battery
