## What is Fishing Friend?

This is the ultimate all-in-one fishing app - it manages all your fishing memories plus it allows you to research and plan your fishing days. You can record your fishing events, trophies,and fishing spot locations. Adding the latest catch is done within seconds. Whether your focus is on planning your next fishing day based on weather and solunar periods, keeping a trophy gallery and fishing journal, or statistics and research of your past fishing events, this is the application you need.

Along with the basic facts like fish specy, time, amount, weight, and trophy score you can add additional information.
- Position - Your current GPS position can be added. You can view and edit this location on a live map.
- Picture - You can attach a picture of your trophy so it keeps your memories fresh.
- Weather - General condition, temperature, wind direction, and moon phase.
- Story - This offers the possibility to add a story about the catch.
- Location - Record your fishing water, detailed location, and fishing spot.

+ Trophy Management. When you want to get a printout of your trophies, the application will assist you to store it, manage it, and email it! The application supports iTunes File Sharing for backup of application data, and optional Dropbox integration. You can easily export all catch information in the highly compatible CSV (comma separated values) and KML (location  data - keyhole markup language) file format and perform your custom statistics on your data.

+ Research and Planning. Did you dream of documenting and planning your fishing spots? This application allows you to visually lay out your fishing water with symbols of your fishing spots that you can place on the map and give a name. Optionally, it allows you to share your fishing spot information with a friend via e-mail and Dropbox. Your friend can import them from the e-mail attachment with just one click. 
Shapes and other important place marks in your fishing water can be drawn and designed comfortably on your desktop computer using G. Maps or G. Earth and later imported into the Fishing Friend app as overlay on all maps.

+ GPS. If you get lost while afield, you can ask the application to show your exact position in relation to your fishing spots, allowing you to navigate to your spot.

Die Fänge werden mittels GPS erfasst, die Wetterdaten eingelesen.
Fotos können angehängt werden. Alle Daten landen als CSV-Datei in Excel. Da kann sich dann jeder austoben. 

Der Entwickler meldet sich bei Problemen sehr schnell.

Sehr tolle App, Ich nutze sie schon einige Jahre. Leider kann ich auch diesmal meine Daten nicht auf mein neues Handy laden. Hab alle nötigen Extras gekauft (2 mal) und es geht trotzdem nicht. Bitte um kurze Info.

...zur Aufzeichnung aller Fänge. Verbesserungspotential gibt es beim Datenabgleich. Die Entscheidung für Dropbox mag für einige Kunden sinnvoll sein. Ein alternativer Datenabgleich via icloud wäre aber des Ultimum.

Sehr empfehlenswerte Fangbuch App! 

Beinhaltet alles was man zur statistischen Erfassung seiner Fänge und Angeltage braucht inkl. Wetter- und GPS- Abfrage. Auch das Hinterlegen von Fotos und die Möglichkeit die Statistik zu versenden sind klasse und runden die Sache App. 

Für alle Angler die Statistik führen ist es sehr nützlich und für mich ab sofort immer mit dabei wenns als Wasser geht

I downloaded 7-8 similar apps, both free and paid for, but all of them were missing some feature or other that I considered vital.

This ranged from the simple ability to add notes about a session, to only being able to take a photo with the app, rather than add a photo from the library.

This app covered all of my requirements to enable comprehensive logging of sessions and fish within those sessions.

The only possible improvements I could suggest would be to automatically  pull the GPS coordinates from photos when added, and maybe modernise the user interface slightly.

Epic.

Alles was man zu einem Angelausflug braucht. 
Bestimmung vom Ort, Position, Angelart, Fisch mit Foto, Fangplatz usw. 
Top App, nutze sie immer.

Der Werbetext klingt vielversprechend. Schnell und Intelligent also. Klingt doch gut! Die Anwendung ist professionell programmiert. Auf dem iPhone 4 ladet sie schnell und lässt sich auch schnell navigieren. Was aber gezeigt wird entspricht nicht den Bedürfnis des Anglers. Eine Tabelle allen erdenklichen Informationen. Soll ich das alles ausfüllen?Den Ort erfasst die App, übrigens zeitraubend im Fordergrund. Aber was ist mit dem Wetter? Warum werden Fange nicht zu einem Angeltag gefasst. Etc. Jede Menge Fragezeichen verbleiben. Werde ich diese App nutzen? Nein. Denn am Wasser macht die fehlende Bedienbarkeit diese Anwendung schlicht nutzlos. Für mich reine Geld (und Zeitverschwendung).

Wirklich tolle App. Ich kann diese App nur weiterempfehlen. Die Funktionen sind sehr umfangreich und lassen eigentlich keine Wünsche offen. Einziges Manko ist der Preis, ist recht teuer wie ich finde. Die einzige Sache, die für ein nächstes Update toll wäre wenn die Fänge, die auf dem iPhone eingetragen werden auf ein ipad synchronisiert werden würden!

Sehr übersichtliche App, die sehr viele positive Dinge bietet, dennoch würde ich mir für das nächste Update ein Liste für die Schonzeiten wünschen, die für sein Bundesland ausgelegt ist und an der Veränderungen vorgenommen werden können, wenn z.B. in einem Verein die Zanderschonzeit verlängert wurde. Ebenso wäre eine ähnliche Liste für die Mindestmaße sinnvoll, sowie eine Notiz für Gesetzliche Bestimmungen im Verein.
