## What is fishipYs?

fishipYs creates and solves puzzles with hidden ships to be found using clues. Six grid sizes, each with three difficulty levels, are available for solving thousands of uniquely solvable puzzles on screen or on PDF paper. fishipYs also solves manually entered puzzles. The App saves score and game status, but does not send or store any personal data.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-22

NEW: Using "Options / Copy puzzle", you can copy a string from the current puzzle and save it elsewhere. Later, you can paste this string under "Options / Make puzzle / With ID or copy of Puzzle". LIMITATIONS: Puzzle IDs from earlier versions are no longer supported.

NEW: Puzzles are now designed using special methods so that they can be solved without the aid of a computer.

The efficiency of the solver has been improved, which changes the assignment of puzzle IDs.

When a manual puzzle has multiple solutions, a new option allows to display two of them. If there's no solution, valid clues from the last active puzzle can be set for customization. Manual puzzles are solved faster. The last selected level is 'liked' in menu 'Next puzzle' and restored after restarting the app.
