Take a photo or choose one from your library. Fishwise shows the most likely species with confidence, gives you alternative matches when the answer is not clear, and tells you when the photo is not good enough to call.

No account. No social feed. No fake certainty.

CHECK WISCONSIN RULES — WHEN YOU NEED THEM

Fish identification is the first task. Regulation lookup is optional and currently covers Wisconsin waters.

When you want a keep/release check, choose a Wisconsin lake (or use your location to find nearby covered water), enter the fish length, and Fishwise checks the published rule for that fish and waterbody.

Fishwise shows KEEP, RELEASE or CHECK with the reason. If the required context is missing or the rule cannot be verified, it does not invent a legal answer.

You can expand the exact published rule and see its source. Always confirm against current Wisconsin DNR guidance before keeping a fish.

YOUR PRIVATE COOLER

Save the catch with its photo, species, length, weight, waterbody and the rule that was checked at the time. Your Cooler is a private personal record—not a social network.

Fishwise does not currently provide offline AI identification or nationwide fishing regulations.
