### 5/5 — Fantastic smart workout app with Apple Watch support!

*2024-11-19*

I’ve tried a half dozen other workout apps for my gym routine, and Fit Records is the winner. Its thoughtful design, flexibility, and great use of really helpful iPhone features like Live Activities, Health integration, and robust Apple Watch support are superb. It’s so convenient to focus on your workout and record your progress without having to fumble with a fiddly phone app between sets. Fit Records for the win!

**Developer response:** Hey Tom N, thank you very much for your review. I'm very happy to hear that Fit Records met your expectations and you enjoy using it for your gym sessions. I'm always here if you have any questions, feedback or feature requests. You can reach out at info.fitrecords@gmail.com, and you can join our community on reddit (r/fitrecords) if you like :)

### 5/5 — Easy and intuitive

*2024-10-30*

This app provides everything you could need to establish plans, workout routines, and track them over time. And the customer service if you have a question or suggestion is quick, professional, and helpful.

**Developer response:** Hey Angelb63, thank you very much for your review. I'm very happy to hear you like Fit Records, and I am always here if you have any questions :) - Emre

### 5/5 — Great app, simple to use, and exactly what I need.

*2024-10-04, version 5.4*

I have used many workout tracking apps. But Fit Record is by far the most helpful. It is simple enough, yet productive and efficient. It shows you exactly what you need and allows you to customise your workouts perfectly. There are no distractions. Also the Apple Watch app is perfect when working out for easy recording.

### 4/5 — Watch

*2024-08-27*

How do I start a workout from the watch app?

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your review. Since the Watch App is the companion to the iPhone app, it is not possible to directly start a workout from the w—atch. However, you can start a workout from your iPhone, and continue from your watch app since they will synchronise once a workout is started.

Please make sure to keep your iPhone nearby while continuing your workout from the watch, since they need to communicate during a session, and also grant Health Access to ensure all the functionalities work seamlessly.

Hope this helps! If you have additional questions or comments, I'm always happy to help, you can send us an email at: info.fitrecords@gmail.com :)

For the price, you can’t beat it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Lack of workout

*2026-01-23, version 11.0*

I tried looking for kettlebell workouts to add to weekly plan , nothing was found , limited workouts for detailed planner

### 1/5 — terrible and doesn't work

*2026-01-14, version 10.9*

doesnt even save your workouts so enjoy creating a new workout every day to do the same stuff, idiots made this app i dont know how anyone even downloads it, probably because it has a name and a logo thats about the only thing this app has actually done

### 1/5 — Wasted my time

*2026-01-05*

Made 3 workout plans, and when I went to make a fourth, it prompted me to pay to upgrade to pro- something required to make more than 3 routines. Considering i already spent my time making 3 workout plans, this really annoyed me.

**Developer response:** Dear nicknamegabegabriel,

First of all, I'm very sorry to hear that your experience was frustrating. I understand how it can feel annoying to spend time creating workouts and then suddenly hit a limit.

I’m developing Fit Records on my own, and while I try to make the app genuinely useful without PRO, I also need a way to keep development sustainable. That’s why creating up to 3 workout templates is free, and additional templates are part of the PRO version, together with progress insights like charts and monthly recaps.

Your feedback is completely valid. I should communicate this limit more clearly earlier so it doesn’t feel like a surprise after you’ve already put in the work. I’ll make sure to iterate on this.

If you have any other questions or feedback, you can always reach me at info.fitrecords@gmail.com

Thanks for giving Fit Records a try and for sharing your experience.

Best,
Emre

### 1/5 — False advertising

*2025-11-02*

The guy went on Reddit and advertised this app as being free, it’s not. You can try for free then you gotta pay to continue. So sick of false advertising on iOS apps.

**Developer response:** Dear N0thank you,

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that the way I shared Fit Records on Reddit gave the impression that all its features are free. I’d like to clarify this for you, and also for future users who may come across this review.

Fit Records is free and will always be free. With the free version, you can create 3 workout templates and 2 training plans, record unlimited workouts or single exercises, and create as many custom exercises as you want. A paid version that includes a free trial is only required if you'd like to create more than 3 workouts or access detailed insights and progress on your workout activity.

If a post I made on Reddit conflicts with this, could you please edit your review and include a link to that post? I'd be happy to correct it so there’s no misinformation.

Again, I'm sorry to hear that you got the impression that we engage in false advertising. As an app that truly cares about its users, this is the last thing we’d ever want to do. If you'd like to continue this discussion, I'm happy to do so, you can reach us at info.fitrecords@gmail.com.

Best,

Emre

### 1/5 — All data disappeared after 2 weeks and wasn’t recoverable

*2025-06-10*

All data disappeared after 2 weeks and wasn’t recoverable

**Developer response:** Dear Gutesdesignist,

I’m really sorry to hear that you lost your data. I know how frustrating that can be. Fit Records respects your privacy and stores all workout data locally on your device and backs it up to iCloud periodically (if iCloud is enabled and has available space). Unfortunately, if the app is deleted and iCloud storage was disabled or full, the data may not be recoverable for future installs.

If you didn’t delete the app, or if this happened under different circumstances, I’d love to investigate further to prevent this from happening again. Please reach out to me at info.fitrecords@gmail.com so I can help look into it.

Thank you,

Emre

### 1/5 — If you have the scales this is the wrong app

*2025-01-14, version 7.8*

I downloaded this app because the logo matches a logo on scales i have but the logo is fake the app you want is probably (Hume)

### 1/5 — App Price Discrepancy

*2024-10-02*

It asks for a payment at the start before you can even test the app.

It should just be priced transparently in the App Store instead of pulling a bait and switch.

**Developer response:** Hey Leo, I'm sorry to hear you were unhappy with the onboarding experience, but I'd like to clarify a few things.

The intention is not to ask for a payment, but rather give you an opportunity to start a free trial for 7 days, to test the app with all its premium features. Once you have tested the app you are free to cancel the upcoming subscription and continue using the app in the free version.

Also, the reason the app is free to download is, there are many core features of the app, users can enjoy without a payment, or subscribing to the PRO version. So, there is nothing non-transparent in the pricing. Hope this better clarifies things for you :) - Emre

### 2/5 — Watch integration needs work

*2024-07-10*

Automatically ends watch workouts and doesn’t log with its own records. Also even when the app is closed on my phone the watch app keeps opening and asking me to select a workout, making my watch unusable while the app is installed. Pretty good UI but integration needs work.

**Developer response:** Hello, thank you for your review. I'm very sorry to hear you experienced problems with the Watch Companion App. I'd like to investigate this further and ask a few more questions. Could you please send us an email at info.fitrecords@gmail.com? Alternatively, you can reach out to us on our r/fitrecords subreddit or via Instagram. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us improve.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2026-08-20*

Just wish I was able to log reps and weight with my Apple Watch during my work out. As well as add permanent notes to a specific work out for future instruction.

**Developer response:** Dear JustaMomthatworksoutsometimes,

Thank you very much for your review, I'm glad to hear you like Fit Records. You can actually log your reps, and weight from your Apple Watch. As long as your devices are connected to each other, when you start a workout from your iPhone, the Apple Watch Fit Records app will display it, then you will be able to control/continue your workout from your watch, as long as your iPhone is nearby.

Being able to add notes to a specific workout is a great idea, it is actually on our roadmap, but now we know we have to prioritise it :)

If you'd like more information on how to use your Apple Watch during your workout, please reach us at info.fitrecords@gmail.com I'd be happy to assist you further.

Best,
Emre

### 4/5 — Great for tracking workouts

### 5/5 — Simple to use and looks great!

*2025-11-26, version 10.4*

Just starting my weight loss journey and needed an app to help set my goals, create a plan and set my goals. Love that it has an apple watch companion app that lets you log your sets. Just need to get one now!

### 5/5 — Great lifting tracker

*2025-11-03*

I’ve been using fit records for the past 1.5 years and it’s been amazing. It’s been a great tool for tracking my progress and making sure that I’m doing progressive overload. There’s something so satisfying about seeing that green arrow saying your weight went up. Couldn’t recommend it more.

**Developer response:** Dear wstephans,

I’m very happy to hear that you’ve been enjoying Fit Records and that it’s been helpful in your fitness journey. Thank you so much for your kind review, and I wish you many more green arrows in the days to come! :)

Best,
Emre

### 5/5 — Great app!

### 5/5 — Great App

### 5/5 — Very good app - painful icon

*2025-03-04, version 8.6*

I’ve bought the lifetime ‘premium’ for this app as it is pretty much exactly what I wanted. The design follows iOS’ standards very well and feels native, and it essentially ‘just works’; although it has crashed on my Watch once during a workout, it’s been pretty much flawless. It’s made it really easy to track my progress on specific workouts without having to log it all in some massive spreadsheet.

Honestly, my only issue with the app is the icon. It doesn’t look terrible or anything, but I wish it had a light background that would auto darken with dark mode rather than a permanent, jet black background.

This is a great app though, well worth the money.

### 5/5 — Best app for lifting

*2025-02-12*

I’ve tried a dozen fitness apps aimed at lifting, from Stronglifts to Fitlist. None of them are as full-featured and customizable as Fit Records at the free level, and the paid version just adds to the greatness. Highly recommended!

**Developer response:** Hey jtwmoore, thank you very much for your review and recommendation. I'm very happy to hear that we could offer you the features and the customization needed for your lifting journey!

- Emre

### 5/5 — I use it for every workout

### 5/5 — Sensational

*2025-01-08, version 7.7*
