### 5/5 — Keeps me organized

*2026-08-04, version 3.16.3*

I love this app. It free you can take pictures of the food you are eating and it will do the calculations for you. The one thing that I need to start doing myself is be more consistent in putting my food in when I eat it. I always forget. But other than me. This app is great.

### 5/5 — Really good

*2026-08-03, version 3.16.3*

Used to use MyFitnessPal until I discovered FitBee. This is way better and all the features I need are covered.

### 5/5 — Easy to use!

*2026-08-03, version 3.16.3*

Love the no ads! Easy to use and log the meals and water intake! Even the exercise!

### 5/5 — Best calorie counter

*2026-08-03, version 3.16.3*

You can look up any and all food. Even your own recipes are easy for the ai to tell you the calories. Worth 4.99 a month/yearly plan

### 5/5 — Better than alternatives

*2026-08-01, version 3.16.3*

I used MyFitnessPal for ages and although it has a very good library of foods, the app was buggy and frustrating. This is a much more pleasant experience - quick and feels iOS native. Almost everything you need is in the free tier. I only upgraded because I wanted to type in my meal and let the AI figure out the calories! Strongly recommend.

### 5/5 — Ditched MyFitnessPal

*2026-07-31, version 3.16.1*

Definitely recommend it over MyFitnessPal. Design and UX is much cleaner e.g being about extract ingredients from a recipe on a website

### 5/5 — Just great

*2026-07-29*

By far the best free nutrition tracker I’ve tried, granted I haven’t tried many this one is amazing

### 5/5 — Excellent support!

*2026-07-28, version 3.16.1*

I started having issues with FitBee and I contacted them. They worked with me several times and they did correct the problem.

### 5/5 — FitBee app

*2026-07-27, version 3.16.2*

I LOVE THIS APP. So easy to work on and so helpful 🥰

### 5/5 — perfect app for calorie counting

*2026-07-24, version 3.16.1*

i’ve been using fitbee for about three months to count my calories and i’ve lost 10kg with it. my favourite thing is that it’s so easy to use, it has a way to scan nutritional info with your camera and i also love the quick add option for when i have no energy to complete all the details or if i eat something as a one off. i love how simple it is, it doesn’t fill the screen with unnecessary details/info and its pretty instantaneous to open. this is the first time i’ve ever dieted or counted my calories so i really needed something simple and easy to use, i absolutely recommend it!

### 5/5 — I’m trying to

*2026-07-22, version 3.16.1*

Recommend this one easy to use and also has a free version

### 5/5 — Easy to Use, Awesome App

*2026-07-21*

I wanted a way to journal my food intake. This app is not free, but not expensive. I felt in a way that if it was free, I might get lazy. I’ve been using this app for 2 1/2 months. My last doctor visit came back with tremendous scores in all the cholesterol, triglycerides, lab numbers etc. The numbers were just beautiful according to my doctor, and I had also managed to lose 10 pounds. Yay! My goal is to lose 10 more, but I’m not rushing it. Day by day! Feel so great because this app has helped me keep track of the calories. This works for me, makes me see what I’m eating and how much I’m eating and what choices I’m making about my food. Thank you, FitBee!

**Developer response:** Thanks for the kind review ❤️ Slow and steady is the way to go!

### 5/5 — Weight loss

*2026-07-20*

I lost 50 lbs because of you! Thank you!!

**Developer response:** It was all you! I’m glad we played a small part in your success ❤️

### 5/5 — Everything I want and nothing I don’t

*2026-07-19, version 3.16.1*

Update: it’s 7/19/26 and the app just gets better with every update. I’m even happier with the app than when I wrote the first review.

Original review: At the time I’m writing this, it’s been 18 days that I have had the app and it has exceeded my expectations. The free version does everything I was looking for that I used to use in the other app’s free version everyone uses, but the other app is now charging for things like barcode scanning. After just a few days, I saw that FitBee worked so well that I could just use the free version and be happy. I tried the free week of premium features just to check them out, and they are superb. I liked it so much that I went for the annual subscription.

I have already turned on a couple of people to the app and they are equally impressed. Had I known how much I was going to like the app, I would have bought the app with the one-time purchase offer. But hey, the annual subscription may help to ensure this app sticks around. It’s so good that it’s one of the few apps I’m happy to pay for to get all the bells and whistles.

UPDATE: It’s several months down the road now and this app has been instrumental in helping me lose 22 pounds and counting. The features keep improving and the library is getting more robust. I’m even happier with the app now. I can’t recommend it enough.

Second Update: still fantastic and getting better.

### 5/5 — The easiest and simplest free nutrition tracker

*2026-07-17, version 3.16.1*

I’ve tried quite a few food trackers, this is by far the simplest and easiest I’ve used. I’ve tried the more expensive ones, the silly animal game-ified ones, this one is just the best.

### 5/5 — Better than the rest

*2026-07-10, version 3.16*

I’ve tried a few meal trackers/planners and nothing is as easy or effective and streamlined as FitBee. Highly recommended.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app

*2026-07-09, version 3.16*

Easy to use, quite happy with the experience

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-07-09, version 3.16*

Worth paying for

### 2/5 — Great App

*2026-07-07, version 3.16*

Has to come back on here and change my review… Because they reel you in and then start charging you, “Say you max your free stuff!” Back to myFitnessPal!

### 5/5 — Best tracker out there

*2026-07-06*

I have tried every calorie tracker available and FitBee is by far the best. I’m so glad I finally found it, but I don’t understand how it’s not more popular.

It’s free, there are no ads, there’s a large food database but you’re also able to add or customize food entries, you can quick scan barcodes, and the user interface is very easy to navigate and very pretty.

Of course, there are a couple tiny features that I would add but the app is still new and constantly being improved so I have full faith that it will get better with each update. The one time I emailed the app team with feedback/a feature request, they responded so quickly, and in such a grateful friendly manner, and said that they liked the idea and it would go on the list of future updates.

I genuinely think that anyone who is looking for their perfect food tracker app can stop looking because FitBee is it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Not free, misleading

*2026-07-05, version 3.16*

1 week free only. Misleading information.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t let me manually create

*2026-04-10, version 3.14.3*

This is my first time using a calorie tracker and I actually really really like it. I feel like everything is laid out in a pretty easy way. I’ve made a few of my own foods and put the food in manually and it usually allows me to update whenever I want, but it’s not letting me manually put in my drink like where the blue check is when you’re done it doesn’t let me press done. The blue check stays gray and doesn’t allow me to log it.

### 1/5 — Calorie Calculation is Incorrect

*2026-03-19, version 3.14.1*

I didn’t catch it at first, but once I calculated calories (F=9, C=4, P=4), I realized everything is off with this app. The macro goals don’t line up with the calorie goal. Is this just a “vibe-coded” app where the devs didn’t actually check the logic?

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-01-27, version 3.13*

Advertised as free - absolute scam. Can’t use it without paying lol

### 1/5 — Heavily Paywalled Features

*2026-01-15*

The problem with this app is that they do not clearly convey what features are paywalled, and what features are given temporary for free users. They are obviously trying to get you committed to the app with all your nutrition history, then and rip features away after you’ve been using the app for a week.

It is scummy. Now I have to restart with another app because FitBee decides to pull the best features instead about being upfront about what is in the premium version.

Go elsewhere.

**Developer response:** Sorry this wasn’t clear — that’s on us. FitBee has a permanent free tier, and we’re improving the UI so it’s obvious what’s Premium up front. We've never removed free features (in fact, the opposite is true, we've made paid features free!) You can also export your data any time (free or Premium), so you’re never locked in. If you contact support in-app, I’m happy to help you export and clarify what’s included.

### 1/5 — Does record protein properly

*2025-09-08, version 3.8.5*

Barb in Dunedin

### 1/5 — ?free app

*2025-08-30, version 3.8.3*

Advertised as
Free app and now after 3 pictures of food I can’t take more ..I have to pay them🙄

### 1/5 — Calories aren’t right

*2025-08-10, version 3.8.1*

None of the calories are correct on any food I logged, I would scan a barcode and for a single serving it would say 12 calories when it’s actually 30. And there is no way to adjust it. I have found way better apps to count calories and track food. This one is Not worth it at all.

### 1/5 — Can’t create account

*2025-08-06, version 3.8.1*

I am trying to use the app but the only way to use it is with Apple account. I try going through the Apple route and it says login failed try again later. Please fix your app.

### 1/5 — “Login with Apple”

*2025-06-28, version 3.6.1*

Why is this necessary? I’m so tired of every app requiring the use of an account just to use a product. What if I don’t want to sync my info or connect an account? I just want to use the app as it is. Please add some sort of “guest” mode where I don’t need an account.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-08-31*

This app is so complete and easy to use, it feels like a second nature.

The database is very thorough and always contains what I'm looking for. Same for the workouts.

The camera feature is incredible at either finding a product by bar code or nutrition facts.

When you want some feature it always already exists.

Lots of updates with new features too!

Continue the good work!

### 5/5 — Most convenient tracker I’ve used

*2026-08-26*

I’ve used a lot of trackers over the years. FitBee is extremely convenient to use with a lot of features that make it easy to track food including tracking yesterday’s meal, recently logged foods available to choose again, scanning labels to quickly add to your personal food list, and easy to edit entries.
I appreciate the easy integration with Apple Health. My workouts transfer seamlessly from my watch to my FitBee. I am currently in a program where I need to turn in food logs. I can easily turn my day into a PDF and print it daily. Since I’ve started using FitBee, I’ve lost more weight on average per week than when using paper logging. Since FitBee shows you how many calories you have left for the day, it’s easier to make choices as the day goes on. With paper logging I added up at the end of the day and many times didn’t realize I went too far over my budget. I highly recommend FitBee.

**Developer response:** Thank you for such a thoughtful review and I’m happy to hear FitBee has been helpful to you! ❤️

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2026-08-14*

I found out about it from Reddit which I also learned it was made by a singular person who was just tired of the other apps. This is the first app I’ve really been consistent with and it feels like the creator really does listen to feedback. Super good, you don’t have to pay for anything really the basic version has everything you need and it syncs to the Apple Watch so it keeps track of everything I need. It adds calories based off if you’ve worked out too. Super simple and easy to use and very clean. No ads either.

### 5/5 — 100% recommend this app

*2026-08-12, version 3.16.4*

i love that this app is free and doesn’t push you to buy premium in order to view all of their content!! also a great way to keep track of all your calories and how much you have left for the day!!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-12*

Absolutely loving it!

### 5/5 — Nothing Better

*2026-08-11, version 3.16.4*

Excellent app to replace the slower and annoyingly bloated MFP. Responsive support and so much functionality at the free tier. Premium adds some nice capabilities well worth the cost however so consider as well.

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing

*2026-08-11, version 3.16.4*

This app helped me track my calories and actually gave me a list of how many calories are in each food and a timeline on how long it will take to lose weight

### 5/5 — Awesome easy to use

*2026-08-06, version 3.16.4*

The free version has so many features- wow and thanks

### 5/5 — This app is

*2026-08-05, version 3.16.3*

Great!!
