### 2/5 — Options

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

So many of these workouts require a body part that is currently injured and there aren’t any options at times for alternatives. I need an option to do exercises without my wrist right now and I’m at a loss losing muscle during this time. I thought this app might help but it isn’t.

### 2/5 — Pretty much done

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

I have been using Fitbod for years. They have made many changes over that time, but to me not the important ones. When you search for an exercise, why does it not show the ones you do the most first? I have never used max whatever mode, please let me disable it. Plus it never replicates sets and reps correctly. And it can’t understand how an entire workout affects the weights and reps you can do.

### 3/5 — Swap Feature is Broken

*2026-08-21, version 8.29.0*

The swap feature is not working correctly. It just reverts back to the current workout instead of swapping within the training split as intended.

### 4/5 — Great

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

I really like that this app is easy to. It obviously keeps track of my workouts, even the ones not done in this app like a class. I like that I’m getting stronger and that the new ai feature tells me what I did last work out and how to progress this time. It really takes the guess work out of what I need to do in the gym. I really like the ability to add, remove or swap out exercises.

### 3/5 — Pretty good app

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

Overall a solid app. Has all the basic functionality and a couple more advanced features you'd want from an exercise app. I'm giving it a 3 out of 5 because there's a plethora of UX/UI behavior issues I've run into over the years that have somehow never been fixed that degrades the experience and makes it frustrating at times.

### 4/5 — Great compromise to a personal trainer, but still over priced

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

This app got me going to the gym and pretty consistently. The workouts are great and keeping track of my reps and weights is super helpful having a time rest makes it easy. I feel like it is a little overpriced as each workout doesn’t feel challenging as if you had a in person physical trainer. overall worth buying IF you use it consistently.

### 3/5 — Keep pushing

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

This app inspires you to exercise more

### 4/5 — Setting needed to change default workout times

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

The app is fine, but it is a major annoyance that there is no setting to change/adjust default workout timers e.g. for treadmill or jump rope workouts. When you use these workouts as part of your plan all the time, it is a real pain in the neck that the app doesn’t allow me to use my own default settings for these exercises.

### 4/5 — I like it

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

I’ve never been the person to know what to do in the gym (weights wise). Fitbod has definitely been a motivator to do literally anything other than cardio. One thing I struggle with is I’m doing this in my home gym which is way smaller than a normal gym and it gets old having to move everything down/off/over/etc. I wish there was a way to work with a couple things without having to tear down, restack etc.

### 4/5 — Great app for all levels

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

App is great love how you can customize the work outs and create a workout that really makes you feel accomplished. Only thing I would say to improve on is make it compatible with the garmin app.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

I’ve been using this app consistently for the past 2 years. It’s a great app and I love the workouts it’s generates for me as well at the auto progression. Something I think that would be nice to be added is an option for a setting to turn on a “deload week” that doesn’t change your auto progressions.

### 5/5 — Beta coach

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

Love the new coach notes

### 5/5 — Best app purchase I’ve made

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

I started using this app at the beginning of 2026. I’m 63 years d and have been active all my life. I love lifting and this app has kept me accountable and has me doing different workouts every day! I’ve lost 15 pounds and become leaner than I’ve ever been. I finally have definition 💪

### 2/5 — Very disappointed

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

This “Ai” program gives me weights and reps that look like it doesn’t know what I did last week or last month. It will give me less weight and reps or say something like I haven’t performed and exercise in a while and I do it every week. I’ll be leaving when my subscription is up for another app because I’m using this to log my workouts and that’s it. Very pricey for being a glorified notebook.

### 5/5 — Fantastic app

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

Best workout out there. I use to use bodybuilding com but since some of my favs left I stopped. And they I used Jym but got bored. The app continues to improve. Definitely worth it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Customer service/ support atrocious

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

I’ve tried to contact them on the support section of the app. My messages have gone unanswered and have no vanished. I’ve reached out on Twitter and not received a reply. I’ve messaged on Instagram, but they don’t allow you to private message them. I’ve then sent them emails, which have returned undelivered. Really poor customer service. Happy to take your money and then ignore you!

### 1/5 — User

*2026-08-21, version 8.29.0*

Makes u enter pmt info for 7 day free trial

### 1/5 — Not what it used to be

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

Overall happy with the app. It got me in the best shape of my life, keeps track of my progress and keeps me consistent. My only complaint is the constant updates that completely change how the app functions. It use to be very good at keeping things fresh while still following a set program. Lately it seems very repetitive. I liked it much better 3 years ago. I would give the trial a shot and if you like it maybe it’s the app you’ve needed to reach your next level in fitness.

Edit. It keeps asking me to rate it even after I already did. 1 star.

### 1/5 — Customer service is Non Existent

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

Used Apple ID to signup and it didn’t share my email gave them the Apple ID one. Want to use on iPad so cannot get logged in on another device .. emailed them and 2 days later crickets. Stay away of you expect to get support on this app.

### 1/5 — Unbelievable decline

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

I’ve been a user for years and have cancelled my subscription this week after constant functionality decline. It’s clear Fitbod are trying to integrate AI to improve their workout suggestions, but it’s resulted in consistently awful results. What used to be thoughtful weight increases over time and integration of new exercises has become a totally incomprehensible mess. One week I’ll do 10 reps of 50lb dumbbell presses, the next week they’ll suggest a “Max Effort Day” with 6 reps 35lb sets. Their support team is nice enough, but sadly unhelpful, often trying to rationalize clearly nonsensical advice from the app. What a sad story from a previously great app.

### 1/5 — Infuriatingly Hollow

*2026-08-17, version 8.29.0*

I downloaded Fitbod hoping it would help me vary my exercises. It helped the tiniest bit- but I could have just gone to YouTube for free. It’s more frustrating than helpful tenfold.

First - the “AI” just shuffles workouts with no rhyme or reason. Sometimes the same workout just on different equipment. It also has different equipment all shuffled, meaning you sort it all yourself. Not very smart. And it only has 3 general areas; back, chest, and legs. No way to tell it to target specific muscles unless you put it in manually. And even if you do before you hit the gym it deletes that and shuffles it again entirely.

Second - The workout sorting is trash. You can either sort by muscle or by equipment. Not both. I’d love “ab workouts using mat” or “chest workouts using dumbells” but no. Either look at every ab workout or every mat workout and hope you find it.

Third - If you switch gyms (because I put in the incorrect gym at the start by accident) if you want to add another you have to manually put in every equipment in there.

Positives - I can see this being good for people who know what they’re doing and simply want to track their weight progress. I enjoyed logging reps as I finished (when I remembered to.)

All in all, this is just a husk of what could be a great app if it had much more refinement, but at the moment it is not beginner friendly and honestly infuriating for how much potential it has.

### 1/5 — You need to pay

*2026-08-16, version 8.29.0*

You need to pay just to lose weight

### 1/5 — Inappropriate AI

*2026-08-14, version 8.29.0*

There is no way to remove the AI ChatBot that shows up on top of the workout.

### 1/5 — 15 dólares mensuales

*2026-08-13, version 8.29.0*

No se puede hacer nada sin pagar

### 1/5 — Wow

*2026-08-13, version 8.29.0*

I was so excited to use this app and as soon as I logged in It made me pay! So stupid how I can’t even track my progress for gym anymore!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Good for gym, could be better for swimming

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

Great app to log workouts and progress. Good automatic workouts but have preferred lately to program in more water polo and swimming specific workouts. Also, sometimes too much learning from workout to workout as new exercises are introduced but the videos are useful.

### 5/5 — This app is totally worth it!

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

As the title says, worth it in every way, the set check off list is a total dopamine hit lol soooo satisfying!! Plus who doesn’t like racing the clock( but don’t lose the form!!) well done 10/10 would recommend

### 5/5 — I Love Fitbod

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

I love that it is so challenging! My only issue is I wish I could see my workouts for the week.

### 5/5 — THE BEST FITNESS APP

*2026-08-22, version 8.29.0*

Hands down, Fitbod is the best fitness app available!

Huge difference in 6 short months of using the app. I look great, I’m so much stronger, healthier, and am more confident than ever.

### 5/5 — Solo gym bro

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

I’m not one to have workout buddies or like to talk to people while I work out so this replaces the need for direction and pacing. It’s the only thing that has kept me consistent

### 5/5 — The best app I’ve used

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

The customization of workout I want to do is what I love

### 5/5 — Brilliant training app

*2026-08-20, version 8.29.0*

I’m only in my free trial period but this app is unreal. It has made training so easy. I’m training at home with limited equipment and the program it’s has written for me is awesome.

### 5/5 — The best

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

I’ve tried a 1/2 dozen apps. This one js far superior.

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2026-08-19, version 8.29.0*

Used the app for over 6 months now, works good, great at tracking and for progressive overload. Some of the workouts can go a little off track but easy enough to alter if needed. 9/10 every time.

### 5/5 — Loving it so far

*2026-08-18, version 8.29.0*

A friend was using this app, and really liked it. So he gave me a free trial. I’m really enjoying it. Love the programming. Love the how to videos. Love that it can learn what weights and equipment you have, and build workouts according to that.
