## What is FitBuddy?

FitBuddy is an AI calorie counter and workout log in one app. Snap a photo of your food or describe it in words, and the AI coach counts calories, protein, carbs and fat and logs every meal to your food diary.

NUTRITION
— Calories from a photo: camera or photo library
— Text meal logging: several meals in one message
— Barcode scanner and food search, favorites and custom foods
— Food diary by breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks; browse any day
— Move, repeat or delete meals, with undo
— Calorie and macro targets from your RMR and deficit or surplus
— Water, coffee and tea tracker with a daily goal

WORKOUTS
— Workout log: sets, reps and weight
— 390 exercises with video or animated demos: bodyweight at home, dumbbells, barbell, machines
— Rest timer and weight calculator
— AI workout generator for gym or home (Pro)

AI COACH
— Tell the coach what you ate and it logs it; "delete dinner" or "repeat yesterday's breakfast" work too
— Personal daily tips and smart reminders (Pro)

PROGRESS
— Charts for weight, body fat, training volume and calories
— Personal records per exercise, achievements, levels and streaks

APPLE HEALTH AND ICLOUD
— Weight, activity and sleep from Apple Health; calories, macros and water are written back to Health
— Your data is stored in iCloud and restored on a new iPhone. Apple Health data is never sent to iCloud.

The free plan includes limited weekly AI use; Pro removes the limits.

## Version history (last 3 releases)

### 1.2 — 2026-10-15

What's new:

• App screens are now in English: paywall, settings, onboarding, weight tracking, workouts and AI confirmation cards.
• Meal analysis, weight units, weekday labels on charts and macro labels follow the language you choose in the app.
• Clearer VoiceOver labels on Home, Nutrition and Profile.
• Minor fixes and improvements.

### 1.1 — 2026-10-09

What's new:

• The food journal is split into breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. The "+" button in a section adds a meal straight into that meal.
• Browse other days: arrows above the journal or a date picker.
• Move a meal to another meal slot or another day. Moves can be undone.
• More accurate recognition of several meals in one message. A photo that fails to be recognized is no longer lost.
• Your data is stored in iCloud and restored automatically after reinstalling or on a new iPhone. Manage it in Profile → iCloud. Apple Health data is never sent to iCloud.
• The weight calculator has its own keypad: you can now enter +, −, × and ÷.
• The Apple Health card in Profile shows the real sync status, and its buttons open Health.
• Timed exercises (plank, holds) are labelled correctly again.

• Log several meals in one message. Tell the AI coach what you ate and it shows all meals on one card. Remove extras before saving.
• Manage meals through chat: edit, delete, move to another day or repeat, e.g. "delete dinner" or "repeat yesterday's breakfast". The card shows which day the action applies to.
• "Undo" after deleting restores all deleted meals at once.
• Barcode scanner: aiming frame, torch, haptic feedback. Codes are read only inside the frame. If a product isn't found, you can create it right away or scan again.
• App updates keep the link between entries and Apple Health, and your achievements.
• More reliable validation of AI data and other fixes.
