### 2/5 — Seems to be glitchy

*2026-04-24, version 4.0.22*

I just downloaded this hoping to have something where I could select targeted workouts and plan a weekly routine, but the app doesn’t seem to register that I’m trialing the premium plan. In terms of user-friendliness, It’s not awful, but it’s not intuitive and creating a workout takes a lot of repetitive steps. There’s no place I can see that I can select favorite workouts, which would be nice to be able to do and just be able to check something off it for a “free workout” day. Even further, what if I could select a favorites in cardio, or glute exercises? And why can’t I select a single workout from a group to add onto a scheduled workout, why do I have to create an individual plan containing just the use of a treadmill to include that on my schedule, without it categorizing it within my Cardio group? Sometimes I want to work out the same areas but want to have the option to do it on a different machine or maybe I’m at home and don’t have a machine to rely on. There’s a million different exercises that target the same thing. I should be able to make a group that says “Cardio” and be able to add individual workouts from that Cardio folder to my workout for the day, not have the entire Cardio group added to my schedule. If this is an option, the interface does not give any indication on how to navigate to do that. I like that I’m not forced to use AI for this, and that I can be very intentional in my planning, but there’s some flaws that are making me question whether the app can be useful. I was hopeful for a minute I figured out how to make it work, but the app has also crashed on me, so I’m going to try again tomorrow.

### 4/5 — Great for a free app

*2026-03-19, version 4.0.20*

I’ve been using this app for years and it provides a lot of utility and includes the ability to add your own exercises. Creating your own workouts, workout groupings, and pre-loaded sets/weights/rest times is very helpful. Viewing your history is straightforward. It can be a little buggy at times, but usually restarting the app works. Considering that it is free, it’s excellent.

### 4/5 — Thankful

*2026-01-08, version 4.0.20*

Thankful for this app. Only wish to cardio/tabata type of circuits that there was a timer for duration rather than just for the break.

### 2/5 — App has gone downhill

*2026-01-05, version 4.0.20*

This used to be my favorite rep counter, super straight forward, syncs with my watch. Now it erases data. Yesterday I tracked 4 exercises, synced it at least 10 different times, closed the app, deleted and redownloaded the app. My workout from yesterday is not there. I’m now on the search for a new tracker that doesn’t erase my logs.

### 4/5 — Stopped working

*2026-01-03, version 4.0.20*

I have used this app for years. It’s a great app to log and track workouts. It no longer loads on the Apple Watch can use on iPhone. Hopefully the app will be available soon for the Apple Watch

### 3/5 — Need to fix super set

*2025-08-22, version 4.0.18*

Super set doesn’t reset to the first exercise after submitting a set for the last in the super set. Thx

### 3/5 — Solid app, not impressed by recent update

*2025-06-01, version 4.0.18*

This is a nice simple app with great features to set custom workout routines. The recent update added lots of meh features, but the most annoying part is they removed the chime sound that used to play when the rest timer was up. Please put this back!

### 2/5 — Broken upgrade

*2025-05-28, version 4.0.18*

I've been using the free version of this app for years, but the recent update has made some of the functionality worse. It no longer automatically cycles back to the 1st exercise is a Superset. You must manually tap back after each set. Also when you edit your weights and reps, you must now manually clear out each weight and set before entering your new set numbers. This has increased the amount of finger banging my phone screen between sets. Again, used this app for years but considering a new app as this has become an inconvenience.

### 4/5 — Timer

*2025-04-21, version 4.0.18*

Timer doesn’t work if my phone screen locks

### 4/5 — Apple Watch Issue

*2025-04-16, version 4.0.18*

I like that Apple Watch functions with Fitlist, however, You cannot delete a set when mistakenly one was added unintentionally! I normally do 3 sets of an exercise. When a fourth was noticed on the Apple Watch I could not correct it. This ruined my Watch experience which I had to correct tediously! Please fix.

### 4/5 — LOVE just wish....

*2025-03-28, version 4.0.17*

I love this app, I've been paying for it for years! I just wish we could add notes to each day (in addition to each exercise). As a woman I would like to be able to note where I am in my cycle, if I'm sick, injured, etc. It would just be helpful :)

### 2/5 — App has changed

*2025-03-17, version 4.0.17*

It no longer gives out trophies for new maxes, which is a total bummer. The previous app was much more motivational.

### 3/5 — I used to love this app

*2025-02-23, version 4.0.16*

It’s not working for me anymore. I had a bunch of workouts on here. Now it keeps asking me to pay even though I hit pay

### 3/5 — Great app, some bugs

*2025-02-21, version 4.0.16*

The app is great, paid for premium even. But the bugs are a bit annoying. It’s logging 2 workouts when there’s only one and I can’t change things like ‘public workout’ it just forces the setting back on

### 3/5 — Cannot share

*2025-02-10, version 4.0.16*

I had clients sign up for the app so I could share fitness plan. However the plans I created I cannot share. The share option does not work. It let me do it once and after that stop working. Don’t waste your money

### 3/5 — pretty good.

*2025-01-27, version 4.0.14*

UI is decent, but some of the interactions with how you start workouts are confusing. also the alert for the rest timer isn’t loud enough. let us customize it. also doesn’t go off if phone is on silent, which is slightly annoying if i forget to turn sounds on before a workout.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Monthly Subscription But No Development?

*2026-07-11, version 4.0.22*

The last year of updates is practically nothing but bug fixes. Why should anyone lock into monthly payments just for you to make sure your app is running? We haven’t seen any substantial new features or improvements in ages. Kind of disappointing.

### 1/5 — Such a scammer

*2026-03-04, version 4.0.20*

Such a scam. They take all your personal details and at the end tell you to pay. Criminal.

### 1/5 — Hate the new update

*2025-05-20, version 4.0.18*

The new update sucks compared to the original

### 1/5 — UI update erased two most recent workouts

*2025-05-14, version 4.0.18*

Can’t see them

### 1/5 — Wrecked

*2025-03-20, version 4.0.17*

This used to be a great app. It WAS Simple clean and easy to use. It is now riddled with bad ux, complicated and frustrating. They went for looks over useful.

### 1/5 — Wrecked

*2025-01-14, version 4.0.14*

This used to be a great app. It WAS Simple clean and easy to use. It is now riddled with bad ux, complicated and frustrating. They went for looks over useful.

### 1/5 — Bad Updates

*2025-01-05, version 4.0.14*

Many of my old workouts aren’t showing up anymore. Maybe it’s because I didn’t “complete workout” but not sure. That used to not matter. New update completely throws off my system.

### 1/5 — Not flexible for deleting

*2024-09-19, version 4.0.10*

Created a workout. Made a mistake and put the wrong exercise in it. Can’t delete that exercise. Tried swapping the exercise, and saving, but next time I came back the workout is back to the original. Can’t delete a workout either to start over. Can only have 4 workouts, so now I’m stuck with garbage. Please fix or will uninstall and find something better.

### 1/5 — Duration timers don’t work, obsolete app

*2024-08-02, version 4.0.9*

This app worked great until the appearance update but since then the duration timers don’t work. I have a number of timed exercises that I do, but now the sound and alerts are gone so they’ve essentially made the app obsolete for me. A timer and a notebook completely replace this app for me.

I reached out and it took numerous back and forths of them not understanding the issue until I finally had to send a screen recording showing the situation. The response was that it’s a known issue and multiple weeks and updates later and it still hasn’t been fixed yet. The app was way better before the updates. I’ll change the review if it ever gets fixed, but I cannot in good conscience recommend this app as it currently is. Save your time and money and go old school analog.

### 1/5 — Not a fan of the new interface, notes gone and preferred the old version

*2024-06-12, version 4.0.7*

Any way to go back? Been paying for the app for years

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Days of week

*2026-08-21, version 4.0.22*

The calendar starts each week as Monday instead of Sunday very confusing.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2026-03-18, version 4.0.20*

Easy to Use, complete, the stats you need, consistently update. Nice.

### 5/5 — Great

*2026-03-05, version 4.0.20*

Great app! One change I would like is if drop sets and supersets were denoted in the statistics section. Currently, a drop set shows up as ‘1, 2’ instead of ‘1, 1D.’ Something similar to the second example would make the app pretty much perfect

### 5/5 — Been using fitlist for years

*2026-02-28, version 4.0.20*

Great fitness app! Easy to use and build workouts.

### 5/5 — How to excel in your workout!

*2025-05-18, version 4.0.18*

This app is fantastic! I create all of my workouts in 4 12-week cycles and load the one I’m working each time I hit the gym. This allows me to track where I was the last year, last cycle, last month and last week. Tracking is the only way to guarantee you are making gains in strength. I can also create my own exercises if it’s not listed. It literally takes a few seconds.

### 5/5 — Excellent product

*2025-03-25, version 4.0.17*

I’ve been using this for more years than I can remember. Mainly I wanted something that tracked lifting and cardio and not a lot did that at the time. I have my own workout and needed customization not advice on changing weight or reps. This has fit the bill and continues to do so!

### 5/5 — Intuitive, straightforward and robust

*2025-03-16, version 4.0.14*

That’s how I would describe the fitlist app. I’ve been a fitlist user since it first came out and have to say that the UI enhancements over the last few years have been ideal. It makes tracking workouts seamless and easy. Possibly the best part is being able to look up all my history of my lifts.

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-03-06, version 4.0.16*

Perfect for tracking and creating gym workouts.

### 5/5 — Best app for I’ve found…

*2025-01-06, version 4.0.14*

I’ve been using this app for over 3 years and I’m impressed with its flexibility and user interface. They also continue to improve it through user feedback. Love it!

### 5/5 — Ugh

*2024-11-26, version 4.0.12*

I have been using this app since 2015. Each update makes it worse, IMO. I find it to be glitchy and difficult to customize workouts. I cannot get supersets to work anymore. I will keep trying.
