### 4/5 — Sweaty Selfie

*2026-08-31, version 23.0*

It used to be five stars, but now that sweaty selfie disappeared only four stars

### 3/5 — On for tracking, many bugs

*2026-08-25, version 22.0*

Keep looking. Theres likely better out there

Been using this for nearly 2 years. Haven’t used the AI part.

It’s ok for planning your workout and tracking, but some of the basic tracking functions are full of bugs.

Often says you haven’t achieved your workout goals when you have, regresses workouts (reduces goal weights or reps) when you should be increasing, etc.

These issues make it very frustrating, and don’t even bother seeking support. It’s emails back and forth that don’t read the issue.

### 3/5 — Taekwondowoman26

*2026-07-17, version 21.1*

Just only starting this apps well see the result….

### 3/5 — 500 lb threshold

*2026-07-16, version 21.1*

The max weight is 497.5 lbs. please raise this, it’s very low for leg day and makes the leg press tracking useless.

### 2/5 — No unsubscribe button

*2026-07-13, version 20.3*

I downloaded Fitness AI to compare it to the paid tiers of Fitbod and Hevy, and decided not to proceed with this app because it’s not differentiating enough from the others for the higher subscription fee, and I was turned off by the ad integration with the app. I signed up for the free trial, but there is no option in the app to unsubscribe. There is a “Delete my account” option, which I used, but it isn’t clear whether I will be charged when the free trial ends. This app does not appear in my Apple account Subscriptions list, and I only see it as a free “Purchase” in my Purchase History. There appears to be no option for me to confirm that I will not be charged by Fitness AI or Apple after the free trial ends, which helps me understand other reviewers’ frustration on this topic. The app developer should stop deflecting frustrated users to Apple when the developer is also responsible for this uncertainty on how to unsubscribe, and should inform their users on how to avoid subscription fees after the free trial ends.

### 1/5 — Super shady!!! Do not download!!!

*2026-07-08, version 20.3*

I downloaded the app, started the three day trial and then decided that it was not a good fit for me. When I went to cancel it, it was almost impossible. The website states that you either cancel it using the gear icon to get to membership settings In the app or your iCloud subscriptions. Neither were available for me. I ended up having to go to the Fitness AI website, pretend like I was creating a new account and when I put in the email, it said I already had an account. Then I was able to select manage account and it sent me a stripe link. This is garbage. If you want a way better app that will not try to trap you in a subscription choose Gravl. It has a straight forward subscription model and you can actually get a discount code.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2026-07-04, version 20.3*

I have tried to cancel this app since i got it and it will not cancel. I reached out and i do not want to be charged.

This is horrible!!!

### 4/5 — Pretty Good, Some Improvements Needed

*2026-07-03, version 20.3*

Other people have already said what is great about the app, so here is what needs improvement:

- Assisted pull ups and dips, according to the algorithm, get harder with more weight. If you do it successfully at 50 pounds, it bumps you to 55 instead of 45. The opposite should happen…

- May not be possible, but should absolutely be useable without Wi-Fi… This would improve QOL by an order of magnitude.

- It should say whether you should max out a specific set in the training plan (not that important but would be cool)

- Some exercises, like negative pull ups, are missing.

-Not sure if this is already a feature, but you should be able to favorite exercises you like so the algorithm recommends them more often

- Paid subscriber for 6 months

### 3/5 — Average

*2026-07-03, version 20.3*

I like that it compares me to others in my weight and age group. It’s easy to track your workouts. It doesn’t have cardio. It also doesn’t understand warm up sets or pyramiding, or working to failure. You need to do every set to a certain rep count and weight or it will consider it a failure. The AI just isn’t intelligent. This could be a great app in a year or two if the developers stick to it. Unfortunately you’ll get hit with the annual cost very quickly. I’m a month or two into it and realizing it sucks for me.

### 1/5 — I've had enough. Give me a refund

*2026-06-30, version 20.2*

This thing just doesn't work as designed. It doesn't save progress for months now. It's all about the progress and smart adjustments of weights and repetitions. But my workouts are usually broken. Completions not saved or marked failed => decrease or same plan next time. Ridiculously horrible

### 1/5 — Can’t unsubscribe

*2026-06-28, version 20.2*

I just got charged for a new year’s subscription, but there is no way in the app to cancel and no way to contact the company to cancel the subscription. It isn’t handled by Apple so can’t cancel in the normal way through phone settings. Really sketchy behavior all around. I’d like a refund and a way to cancel so it doesn’t happen again.

### 1/5 — CANT CANCEL

*2026-06-27, version 20.2*

I got the free trial of this app, but I did not want to proceed with the membership, this app has no option to cancel membership within app, or even through the website. I couldn’t even cancel it through my settings/account/subscriptions. I receive no email on my confirmation of free trial or subscription. I ended up getting charged $90 for an app and membership I don’t want, I do not know how to even get rid of this subscription

### 1/5 — Scammers

*2026-06-17, version 20.1*

It’s a scam. I just subscribed and they talk to $45 and my application doesn’t start when I try to restore the subscription. It says I have no subscription to restore.

### 1/5 — When you delete your account, they keep your payment details

*2026-06-13, version 20.0*

Days for my subscription was to renew I had deleted my account (I hadn’t used this service for at least 9 months). I then receive a notification that my subscription had been renewed, even when I had deleted my account. And as there is no easily accessible support line, I have left this review. With the main take away being that you may delete your account but they do not delete your payment information.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — SCAM APP

*2026-08-27, version 22.0*

Worst app experience I’ve ever had. Overpriced, confusing subscriptions, frustrating customer support, and absolutely no sense of accountability when there is a billing problem. I was charged for an annual subscription and then ended up with an unnecessary three-month subscription as well. Trying to get help has been exhausting, with Apple and Fitness AI sending me back and forth.

### 1/5 — Fraud

*2026-08-25, version 22.0*

They advertise membership programs with a “free” 3 day trial and say you can cancel anytime but there’s no way to actually cancel it. No matter what you do, delete your account, cancel, etc. they will still charge you. DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP

### 1/5 — The worst experience ever

*2026-08-25, version 22.0*

The worst experience I’ve ever had. The app is not suitable for beginners and did not suit my needs at all. Their customer service is extremely unprofessional and unhelpful, and I was passed back and forth when I tried to get a refund. The app is definitely not worth the money.

### 1/5 — No customer service

*2026-08-19, version 22.0*

No way to get refunded if the app doesn’t work. No way to contact them

### 1/5 — Barely functional

*2026-08-19, version 22.0*

The challenges are non-functional, the exercises are very basic and you could easily put it together yourself. The instructions on how to do the exercises are lacking.

### 1/5 — Stop asking for money and signing me up before you give me a free trial

*2026-08-17, version 22.0*

I cannot trust an app without getting a demo. Plus, the question asked are not really unique - what is important to you, what parts do you want to focus, weight, height, goal weight! These are all very generic questions that almost free apps do already ask, and therefore not helpful. Yes, I do weigh 210 lbs at 5’11’’, but I have a lot of muscle.
Claiming this to be an AI fitness app, I’d expect some more intelligent/informative questions. And show me what the product is like before making me pay for a plan that I have no info on! Gemini, Claude, GPT-5 can do this stuff for free.

### 1/5 — No Unsubscribe button

*2026-08-06, version 21.4*

I need to cancel the subscription because I am not using it as much and there is no where to unsubscribe the subscription. Please fit this now or I will have to report it to the Better Business bureau. I do not want to get charged again. Please and thank you.

### 1/5 — Do not download this app it is a scam

*2026-08-01, version 21.3*

I signed up for a free trial but the app automatically charged me $100 for a year. Do not sign up for a free trial.

### 1/5 — Average App, Shady Practices

*2026-07-18, version 21.2*

The app is okay. There are enough flaws that I quickly moved on to another app. The absolute worst part about this app is that you have to subscribe to access all the features, but they make canceling near impossible. BUYER BEWARE… it is not easy to cancel your paid subscription.

### 1/5 — DO NOT DOWNLOAD

*2026-07-13, version 20.3*

To everybody reading this, I would urge you to do not download this app. From what I understand, it is completely AI ran. I tried canceling my subscription months ago and the app said that upon canceling my subscription all of my card info would be deleted. That was a complete lie because I just got charged another $20 randomly yesterday. They don’t even try to take money from me monthly they’ll just randomly charge you $19.99. This is a horrible app and I would recommend everybody stay away unless you want a headache trying to cancel your subscription and get these people to stop taking money from you. If anybody from the company related to this app would like to contact me, I would be happy to remove my negative review if we can get my situation resolved.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The simplest tool for the best results

*2026-08-25, version 22.0*

Honestly, I’ve lost twenty pounds, I feel better, eat better, have more confidence and am overall happier in my body. I love when my wife tells me friends are asking her if I’ve lost weight. Showing up at the gym is so much easier now. I’ve had multiple personal trainers over the years and never seen results like I have with fitnessAI. Trust it, and trust yourself!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-22, version 22.0*

Great app, but sometimes other people in gym think I’m playing on my app and not working out lol

### 5/5 — Tailored workout needed

*2026-08-14, version 22.0*

Love this app. Just wish it would show healing map and gave more control for modified workouts targeting specific areas

I love that not only I can see my results. People comment on my results all the time and it’s only been 8 months.

Best app I’ve used yet as far as seeing results go

### 5/5 — 5 years in and 10x better 😊

*2026-07-30, version 21.3*

Been using this app for years now and it’s improved more than just my health. Having a routine is great in general but sticking to it is hard! This app helps you stay competitive with the score system. Not to mention, building up workouts as time passes. My only criticism is the lack of certain exercises not listed(example no supine bench press). I expect it to get better as time passes

### 5/5 — It’s great

*2026-06-19, version 20.1*

Now quit asking me to write a review. I should not be asked after every workout

### 5/5 — Good.

*2026-06-10, version 20.0*

It’s good. I like it.

### 5/5 — Very good

*2026-06-08, version 20.0*

Very good app

### 5/5 — Tailored workout needed

*2026-06-02, version 19.0*

Love this app. Just wish it would show healing map and gave more control for modified workouts targeting specific areas

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2026-05-30, version 19.0*

I freaking love this app in my view it’s worth it to pay for the subscription, I pay for the whole year at once n it’s a lot cheaper that way. Seeing gains my first week

### 5/5 — Like a gym partner

*2026-04-10, version 16.1*

This app a gym partner. I used to carry around a small pad of paper and write down the amount of reps the amount of weight so that I could keep track this that makes it a lot easier and even makes suggestions on when to increase. I’d recommend this for anybody newbie or veteran
