### 4/5 — Ga solid 4.5/5

*2024-06-30, version 1.4*

I have been a regular lifter/athlete for around 15 years, and this is the best program/app I have found to date. Tips and training videos for every movement, substitute exercises, program design, and app design/ facebook support are all wonderful. This is likely the closest you will get to professional personal training for a fraction of the cost (50/month vs 100/session)

That being said, the only minor critiques/suggestions I have are:

1. Occasionally training blocks seem to conflict. For example, a shoulder-heavy IWT/burnout circuit at the end of a leg day, then a shoulder/push day the very next day. Im guessing its just the programming pulling the circuit block from a bank without considering the secondary muscles, as this seems to go against their usual 48+hr rest periods per muscle group.

2. Some days in certain programs prescribe more weight than seems correct/safe. For example, pushing near 90% of max for 3 sets of 12 reps, even in rest-pause (6, rest 20s, 4, rest, 2) seems like an injury waiting to happen. I’m not the expert, and am not trying to discredit/invalidate the training (I absolutely love Steve and Jake), but non-profesional/full-natural/non-“enhanced” athletes may want to err on the safe side for these programs.

3. When selecting 60 or 30 minute option, it seems to just remove the last 1 or 2 chronological blocks for a training day, but sometimes it seems like it should be flipped. Example: if leg day goes: primary-secondary-ancillary-core/circuit, the core work or circuit would be left off the 60 minute version, when it seems like the ancillary leg stuff should be dropped instead (otherwise you miss out on core work entirely). Not sure if designed on purpose, and of course you can intuitively do what you want, but maybe it wasn't meant to be that way.

4. Stretching is not included/mentioned. They have mobility blocks each day that rotate, but these don’t always include the muscles you worked that day, and are not a real substitute for actual stretching. Example: chest day may have a back/shoulder focused mobility block. This isn't really an issue if realize it, but some may mistake the mobility routines for actual “stretching”.

Otherwise, it is a great app that I highly recommend and training and recommend trying a few months/programs for yourself.

### 4/5 — Excellent plans and support

*2023-06-22, version 1.4*

I’ve followed fitness culture for a long time and love their plans and the level of support given. The app has definitely improved since the first time I used it, the only reason I haven’t given it 5 stars is think you should be able to add optional rest or recovery days, especially on the functional athlete program. If your doing martial arts like me or say another sport and you’re using the plan along side it there are days you’re a bit beat up and want to move the days around to suit recovery

Whilst it just logs it as a day missed you you try to go back a day you are then behind

### 5/5 — Supers programmes

*2023-06-21, version 1.3*

Application très bien construite et qualité des programmes largement au dessus de la concurrence (ce qui justifie le prix de la formule à 55€ selon moi).

### 5/5 — Game changer

*2023-06-21, version 1.3*

I’ve struggled for years to find a decent training app/workout program most have lead me to just go though the motions in the gym… fitness culture has changed that for me as it’s so easy to follow and with that you see fast results! I’d recommend anyone to use it.

### 5/5 — All my goals and more, achieved

*2023-06-21, version 1.3*

Been a part of the Fitness Culture family long enough to know that this is an incredibly effective way for me to make fitness easy. And if it’s easy, then I’m consistent. Consistency = habits and all of the above lead to success. With programming that is incredibly easy to show up and follow, they are continually asking for feedback and improvements. Who else cares that much?

Achieved first, second and third goals with Fitness Culture, and I couldn’t have done it without them.

### 4/5 — It’s Great but…

*2023-03-29*

App and workouts are great but tweaks are definitely needed on the app. The time for the workout resets to 90 each time the app is opened. I usually do 60 min and forget to change it all the time. I didn’t close the app but had to go into another app and when I switched back it reset all my progress on the days workout I had entered. It should auto save, I shouldn’t have to hit the save button at the top right every time to be safe. The number keypad should only appear and not the full keyboard when entering weight and reps. I also think the rest timer should either appear on the workout group you’re doing or if you’re on set 1 go to rest timer the next screen should go back to set 2. I have gone back once and my progress was gone. For the price we pay, I definitely think the app should be improved upon. Also - when is dark mode coming??

Thanks - keep up the great work!

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback! 😀 We're thrilled to hear that you love the workouts. We have a major update coming soon that will fix the 30/60/90 reset and keypad issues you mentioned. We truly value your input and appreciate you bringing these issues to our attention.

### 5/5 — Holistic approach to fitness

*2022-12-22, version 1.3*

Solid fitness app and very comprehensive. The programs take the guessing out and make it easier for me to be effective when my limited time at the gym. The Mobility section is my favorite part and has helped me tremendously to improve overall and stay injury free. Instructional videos are helpful and when I showed the app to a personal trainer once, they were super impressed. Given all you get and how much PT costs generally, it’s a great bang for your buck. Highly recommend. They also throw out the occasional discount on pricing like 50% off if you subscribe to their mailing list.

### 5/5 — Worth the Price!!

*2022-12-21, version 1.3*

This app is a game changer. The way it tells you what weight to use for heavy compound lifts based on your max is ideal for strength progressions. I look forward to every workout and training split.

### 4/5 — Great App and Program

*2022-12-21, version 1.3*

Been a member for about a year and a half now and have seen some really great results! Programs are some what flexible based on commitment and time! App interface is easy to use. Sometimes hard to track what your previous reps were as it doesn’t always save but other than that great app!

### 5/5 — App Has Significantly Improved

*2022-12-21, version 1.2*

The app has gotten way better after the initial redesign. Can the calendar view of the program be color coded based off the type of block/week? For example de load week can be red. Max week can be blue. Working blocks can be their own color. Etc.

Also, can the weight previously used for a workout be auto loaded rather than having to go to the history and type it in? This would save time going back and forth.

### 5/5 — Great for goal hitting

*2022-12-21, version 1.2*

This app has been fantastic to hit new PR’s and challenge me to discover new workouts, working muscle groups in new ways and unlocking areas of weakness).

### 5/5 — Love the programming

*2022-12-21, version 1.2*

Re the app: there are some quirks that are annoying at most. Not by any means disruptive - but a few examples 1) it can take a long time to save numbers (weight/reps) sometimes. Maybe 30-60 seconds. 2) you can’t see prior week percentages in the current weeks history button, you can only see weight and reps. That said,

I LOVE THIS PROGRAMMING. I have found it fun, challenging, producing great results, and I like that there are so many methods used during the cycles (GVT, slow descent, regular reps, 1 and 1/4 reps). It’s been amazing. I can’t wait to see where it will take me over the next few years. Just finished a full year on the SWOLE program.

### 5/5 — Great Programming and App

*2022-12-21, version 1.2*

I have been using the fitness culture app and following fitness culture programming consistently over the past 3 years. There is a programming option no matter your fitness goals and the app lays out exactly what you need to do every step of the way. From warmups, the main workout, cool down/mobility work, all your bases are covered. The ability to condense workouts to 60 or 30 minutes on days you are squeezed for time is a game changer as well. If you are looking for a great fitness regimen to follow, I would definitely recommend fitness culture.

### 4/5 — Great app!

*2022-12-21, version 1.2*

Overall the app is an excellent tool! The programs are great and help to keep you accountable. I use it on and off over the last year. I workout pretty well on my own but I like to use the app every few months to get
Out of my own ruts and do
Something different in my training I gave it a four only because it had some small glitches here and there by leaving the workout during the rest section and not saving. However It’s easy to get back to it and correct it. Definitely love the app!

### 4/5 — Good app but over priced

*2022-05-10, version 1.2*

The workout plans are very nice and you get a lot of perks with this app but in my opinion it’s too pricey.

### 5/5 — FC is the best there is

*2022-02-02, version 1.2*

I have used Power Athlete, Hybrid Performance, SOFLETE, and JTS. Although there are all great in their own way, Fitness Culture is without doubt the best I have ever used. No other program has motivated me or made me feel as good as Fitness Culture has. The app is extremely user friendly and the programming is phenomenal. I have done Power, Swole, Garage, and now I am on 4 day lean. Each one has been as great as the last.

### 5/5 — Absolute Best Workout Program

*2022-01-09, version 1.2*

I’ve worked out a lot over the years but have never experienced a workout program like this. The workouts push you extremely hard and leave you knowing you have zero left after they are completed. Except, as soon as I’m done, I can’t wait for the next one. Also, the mobility at the beginning and end have been something I’ve been missing and are extremely beneficial!! Great job Steve, Jake and the Fitness Culture team!

### 5/5 — Worth the Hype

*2022-01-01, version 1.2*

My wife & I started Fitness Culture from the beginning. We started with Steve’s 21-day shred. I was hesitant to start it because I’m a “know-it-all” when it came to fitness but my wife signed us up so we had no choice than to do it or let the money go to waste. Initially, it was hard sticking to the intense macros, but we committed. The workouts were unique and different from the standard M&F/BB.com workouts. These workouts had a reason. After the 21-day shred, we were in fact shredded. We loved it. We were hooked. We emailed Jacob to see if we could do the shred for another 21-days and he said yes, but not to do it again after that. We ran it back and leaned out big time. Our belief in Fitness Culture was solidified.

We loved it so much that we actually went to visit Fitness Culture & got to meet Jacob & Steve! We got to meet Paula & others! It was awesome! They were all so friendly and took pictures with us. It was amazing to be able to meet the people that put this program together. They actually care about what they do.

I emailed Jacob countless times to update the app and the logo. I email because I know they read the messages and truly take things into consideration. The app has since been updated & app icon as well. They’re doing amazing things and proud to be apart of the FitCult.

### 4/5 — Solid app

*2021-11-28, version 1.2*

Customer service is great. Speedy replies .
Would be five stars but
When I decided to stop my subscription due to an injury . They canceled it the next day even though it’s pro rated for the month .
I paid for the month already and had two weeks left .
besides that loved it

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Every “transformation challenge” feels like a cash grab

*2023-01-02, version 1.3*

$50-$100 to enter a challenge, then pay the same monthly to keep the subscription.
Considering the “over 30,000” people that have entered these challenges, $1.5 million+ in revenue is nothing compared to a 20k prize pool. Take a risk, take $20k out of pocket and make it free to the people learning to transform their bodies and help them get there before asking them for money. Don’t make it a cash grab up front and then expect that the users peace out after the challenge is over. Jab jab jab, right hook. Read GaryVee.

### 1/5 — This app and Fitness Culture are terrible. It’s actually a SCAM!!! Do Kino or Go to FITBOD

*2021-02-19*

I couldn’t believe how terrible this app and the workout program is. They give you no instruction on technique or form and I hurt my back doing this one superset. Reasons to not download the app or give these roided out freaks your money:
1. I specifically asked for an at home dumbells only program. But as I went through the daily workouts I found that they needed you to buy more equipment like a bench or a jump rope. And they don’t recommend other workouts if you don’t have certain equipment.
2. they make you do the same muscle groups 2 days in a row. I’ve never had a trainer recommend working out like back or chest 2 days in a row. There is no time for muscle recovery. And people will get hurt and unnecessarily fatigued.
3. I sort of mentioned this before but the videos (away from the warmup videos) provide little to know instructions on form or safety. It’s a “good luck” attitude and I don’t feel helped at all. I’ve lifted for a while so I get some of these inherently, but for a newbie they would be absolutely screwed.

I’m not only rating the application but the Fitness Culture programs in general. Please consider Kino or Fitbod instead. Fitbod actually tracks your progress, rest times, and builds a program based on muscle recovery. Fitness culture is a SCAM!!!

### 1/5 — Unable to create an account

*2020-04-21, version 0.4*

I just download the app and there is no option to sign up and therefore sign in, to the app.

### 1/5 — Bull crap!

*2020-04-03, version 0.4*

They make it impossible to delete your membership on the app saying you have to call in to do so, so I did that 2 months ago and haven’t used the app since! They decide to still charge me today for 90 dollars even after I deleted the app! So I email because even after calling 4 times they never answered the phone once, they tell me I can’t get a refund because they never saw that I ended my membership on their side! They say I need to send them proof of me ending my membership months ago, I don’t have that I never got sent an email! This app is ridiculous and they have the worst customer service!

### 1/5 — Can’t sign up

*2020-01-20, version 0.4*

I downloaded the app in order to put in my workout routine but there is no option to sign up just the option to sign in

### 1/5 — Needs improvement

*2020-01-09*

The attached videos don’t always stream properly despite being on a WiFi network. The max lift page can’t be edited from what has been previously entered so if you don’t know your max for a particular lift until after you’ve tested it, you have to re-enter all your lifts again under a new date. That’s a pain. Depending upon what program you’re signed up for, you don’t know how the meso-cycle will play out because programming only reveals itself a week or so in advance. You won’t know what you’re doing 4 weeks out or when the de-load is programmed. I don’t have Facebook so there is no community support outside of Facebook.

On the programming front, the Power program starts out with testing max on specific lifts throughout the first week. Yet on the first day of programming they have a bicep and triceps superset programmed to failure. That’s just poor programming. If you’re testing various lifts throughout the first week on compound lifts it does not make sense to program this in that week. I’m in my mid 40s and I couldn’t recover by biceps and triceps sufficiently for when I had to test max reps pull ups or 1 rep max on the inclined bench later in the first week. Very disappointing for a $90 monthly subscription.

### 1/5 — Getting started

*2019-08-29, version 0.4*

Is there a problem? First page I see is to sign in, as a newbie to the app I have no sign in details but can’t get passed the page so I can get going

### 2/5 — Needs a touch up

*2021-02-23, version 0.4*

Need to add substitute moves or machines for exercises you may be unable to do or don’t have a machine for

Also needs a way to pay through the App Store

### 2/5 — Not worth the money, weird user experience

*2021-01-10, version 0.4*

This app was not what I expected. It is cookie cutter to the max. In addition, it does not even seem to care about the user experience. It has all of these weird things on it which have nothing to do with how the app should be used. For example, I should be able to see my whole program in the workout section in a calendar view. For some reason I can not see this.

A little bit disappointed for the money I spent.

### 2/5 — Still need ALOT of improvements

*2020-02-26, version 0.4*

The videos need to be built into the app because it takes you to youtube and it will pause your music each time you enter the app so you have to re launch , when you try to close a tap the ‘X’ does not work on iphones, the app is just overall poor quality i think for the money we are paying app needs to be perfect, looks like they’re not putting much effort into designing a great app, dont get me wrong it has some benefits like it looks lovely, colour coordinated, very easy to use but for £50 a month i think we deserve a better app

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Fitness Culture Training

*2025-01-09, version 1.5*

Fitness Culture’s programming is world class! Several tracks available to help you train for any strength and conditioning goal. I am currently doing the onboard program for the everyday athlete challenge and love the full body splits. Steve and Jake are phenomenal coaches and continuously put out amazing content on their YouTube channel. I have been following the programming off and on for several years. Being in the military makes it hard to follow any program consistently, but when I’m able to train there is no other program I trust more to help me achieve my goals.

### 5/5 — Highly Recommend

*2024-12-25, version 1.5*

Been using for 3-4 years now. Love the different programs that you can choose that and the progressive overload that it helps recommend to help you reach your goals.

### 5/5 — Lean program

*2024-02-09, version 1.4*

If you have aspirations to get back in shape Steve cook has the best app and program out there!!

### 5/5 — Best Fitness App

*2024-01-10, version 1.4*

Best fitness app out there! I’ve been using it consistently for five years. Amazing!

### 5/5 — Programming

*2023-12-09, version 1.4*

By far the best program I have ever payed for!

Nothing comes close! Invest your money into something that will not only cause you to be pain free but be an functional athlete in any scenario!

### 5/5 — Best fitness app

*2023-10-22, version 1.4*

I have tried several fitness apps and programs. This is hands down the most complete and well done fitness app I have used. The app itself is very easy to navigate and the videos really nail down the proper form to help maximize results and reduce likelihood of injury. The variety of programs is amazing. Worth every penny.

### 5/5 — Question/Feedback

*2023-08-22, version 1.4*

Will there be an update to bring dark mode?

It would be helpful if once the rest timer finishes, it dings so you know and goes back to the workout page so we don’t have to swipe.

### 5/5 — Loving it!

*2023-06-24, version 1.4*

The app and workouts are great! It helped me know how to do the work outs and with my diet. I really like the auto meal plan because it’s easy to use and the meals are tasty!

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2023-06-24, version 1.4*

I've been using Fitness Culture for like 3 or 4 years, and I've loved it! I've been on the Power Program the majority of the time. The programming has increased my 3 lift total by like 200 lbs, and helped me stay well conditioned for playing hockey! I really love the micro- and macro- cycling of the programming. It keeps things interesting but still stays focused on the goal of increasing strength. I had been lifting for awhile before I started Fitness Culture, but my wife was quite new to lifting when she started the Lean Program. The coaching descriptions and videos were perfect to help her get started and really enjoy lifting! I thought it was a little overpriced at first, especially since there are so many free programs out there; however, after using it for years it is easily worth every penny! I would strongly recommend it to anyone!

### 5/5 — Fit Culture App

*2023-06-22, version 1.4*

This is app is super easy to use and makes going to the gym easy. Just choose a program and it will take care of the rest.
