For many years I was plagued by a seamless checkin experience with a simple barcode on my keychain. Thankfully I can now look forward to spending 5 minutes updating this app and clicking don’t allow notifications or location services every time I try to work out. Incredible work.

Bring back key fobs like every functional gym in the world. App doesn’t even work. FitnessSF hates their customers.

Requesting previous months billing statements do not work on this new app. Every month says I paid $0 for my membership and that there is no transactions for that month. How does upgrading to a "new" app make every feature worse? So confusing.

Like other reviews, I have to agree. Old app wasn’t perfect, but provided essential info like classes and gym hours immediately. New app is cluttered with ads and useless stuff making it harder to find what you actually need to know. I don’t need yet another “gen AI” bot. Highly recommend bringing back the other app that served its purpose well!

There is no list of gym locations and their hours. That’s like inviting someone to a party but leaving the location and date off the invite. PLEASE add these back in, it’s crazy useful especially around holidays or if I’m going to a location I don’t visit often. The only way to get this info in the app is to needlessly waste water and 30-60 seconds waiting for the AI chat every time I need to check. And truthfully no one asked for AI in their gym app—I can’t understand why that was a prioritized feature and not location hours and contact info. AI does not need to be everywhere if it’s not useful everywhere.  

There are some great additions like the newly available programming, which is welcome. I would also love to see a promotions section that includes both the gym’s active promotions and the partner business promotions (such as Sports Basement discounts).

Please just get key fobs like every other gym on earth, this is beyond painful and unnecessary. There’s a problem every single day with this thing and you’re overcomplicating what should be a simple experience. It’s a gym not SaaS security.
