### 4/5 — Outdoor Skate

*2025-10-17*

Regret my purchase as the app does not provide info on the Outdoor Skate workout. I expected it to have all workouts available. No way I could find to contact developer.

### 4/5 — Good design, needs updated

*2024-06-10*

This app is just what I was looking for. Unfortunately there is no option for it to import fitness data for Soccer (Workout) from apple fitness data. I hope the developers will double check to make sure that they are up to date with all the various activities that Health App logs, so that the fitness totals represent the actual health data. Thank you!

**Developer response:** We’re happy to hear that this app is helpful to you! We don’t include all activities by default to balance the 70+ activities with a good user experience of navigating through all of them. We add activities when asked and in our latest update we’ve included soccer. This will pull data as long as it exists in the Apple Health App. Thanks for raising the issue.

### 4/5 — Almost What I Needed

*2023-08-07*

This app is almost what I needed to move away from tracking my running stats on a spreadsheet. If it could only add average running pace it would be complete for my needs. Fantastic for basic stat views.

### 5/5 — Does as it says but could be improved

*2022-07-05*

Good app, does exactly what it says. Nice amount of customisation.

Would be great if these could be integrated into the Apple Watch complications so that I can link distance ran for week/month/year. Would have made this a much easier buy at the price point

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We have looked into complications a tiny bit. The one issue we ran into was the Apple Watch stores a limited set of health data so we can’t have the complication query data from the watch. We could potentially sync with the iPhone, but that can also cause issues since health data is unavailable while the iPhone is locked.

All the details aside, we’ll add this info to our list of asks for complications.

### 5/5 — Wonderfully Curated Totals App

*2022-01-28*

This app allows me to check my progress over years and let’s me compare my data to previous weeks, months, etc. The widgets work great and I love that it’s a one time purchase. Only thing I wish is for there to be an Apple Watch app.

### 5/5 — Does not track all Fitness

*2021-11-13*

Edit: reached out to devs and issue was corrected!

App does not track all fitness. Basketball accounts for about 25% of my workout routine and the app does not track it. Wasted $3.

### 5/5 — Great little App with first class support

*2021-05-16*

Really like this App, provides rich additional information not provided by Apple and on top of that the developer, Jon is very helpful & quick to respond.

### 5/5 — Great widget but actual app needs further work

*2021-05-03*

The widget is great for running totals of what matters to you.

**Developer response:** Hey! Sorry the app is giving you problems. If you could reach out to us at feedback@fitnesstotals.com we would be happy to help resolve the issue.

### 5/5 — Exactly What I Wanted

*2021-02-24*

This app isn’t anything fancy but it’s exactly what I was looking for and it’s a one time price and not something I’ll be charged monthly for. I feel like a one time payment of $2.99 to view basic fitness totals in one place is fair but I feel like adding every Apple Watch/Apple Fitness compatible exercise (as mentioned in other reviews), would really make this app above and beyond. I’m still rating it 5 stars though as it’s as advertised and worked for exactly what I needed.

### 5/5 — Simply, yet powerful

*2020-12-27*

I love how straightforward this app is. In many ways, it’s the antithesis of the default health app. It’s intuitive from the moment you open it, it congregates lots of data from many layers of menus into the Home Screen of your iPhone (via the widget), and looks good doing so. Absolutely worth the couple bucks if you care at all about viewing your health data, at a glance, from a high level. Great job guys.

### 5/5 — Needs a broader range of activities

*2020-12-22, version 1.0*

Tennis and indoor cycling among others are part of the fitness app and should be allowed.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App doesn’t load properly

*2024-12-24, version 1.1.26*

No way to show you running distance through workout, only shows you total running plus walking distance including walking to fridge etc

### 1/5 — Crashes on Launch

*2021-12-07, version 1.1.7*

This is the third update in a row where the app crashes upon launch. Completely useless.

### 1/5 — Data missing

*2021-08-21, version 1.1.3*

If you tap yearly totals, it’s all at zero. Messaged dev, no response.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2020-12-22, version 1.0*

I would give this app 0 stars if I could. Data is significantly off and received no response from customer service. Save your money.

### 1/5 — Failure to launch.

*2020-12-21, version 1.0*

Ran, got to share screen, couldn’t get anywhere else in app, moved on. Went back to app and it does nothing but crash immediately, even after a device restart.

Fix soon or refund please.

### 2/5 — Disappointing

*2024-01-23*

I’ve been searching for an app that can track calories like Fitbit used to. Seeing the total everyday, weeks, all time etc. This shows me annualized numbers that I haven’t achieved vs my actual history. I bought my Apple Watch yesterday and this shows me averages and data prior to my purchase even if I adjust the start start date, which doesn’t make sense. I would also appreciate a goal feature, this just feels a bit too simple.

### 3/5 — Good design, lazy developer

*2024-06-25, version 1.1.25*

In my previous review I pointed out that I couldn’t pull Soccer workout data from Apple Health. The developer’s actual response was: “We don’t include all activities by default to balance the 70+ activities with a good user experience of navigating through all of them. We add activities when asked and in our latest update we’ve included soccer.”

That’s right — this dude wants you to pay $$ for his app which is supposed to track your fitness data, but if it doesn’t track the activities you care about, you’re somehow supposed to know that you have to write in and ask them to update their app so that it does the thing you paid for it to do.
They are justifying a bad user experience with equivocation about a “good user experience.” 80 activities is not a lot to quickly scroll through. And there is a search function for people who don’t know how to quickly navigate an alphabetized list.

I wonder how many people paid for this app, found out that it didn’t do what it’s supposed to do, and then had to pay for a different app.

The dev doesn’t want to spend a couple days creating the icons for each activity and doing a nominal update to the app code. Bad form.

### 3/5 — Pretty good, few things to improve

*2022-05-23*

Widgets look great and the app experience allows for customising your activities and your units of measurement.

Wish the widgets placed on the home screen also reflected these changes - I have my active energy set to kJ which shows in app but is still calories on my Home Screen - annoying to do the conversion every time.

The in built feedback function forces it to be sent via the mail app however I have gmail set to my default mail app which it seems to ignore.

**Developer response:** I’m sorry you’re facing the issue with the widgets. It might take a second or two to update to the new unit, but it definitely should change and display kilojoules. Please reach out to feedback@fitnesstotals.com and we’ll work on getting it working correctly.

Also, thanks for the feedback about the feedback button - we’ll look at changing that around for supporting different email apps.

### 3/5 — Very basic

*2022-03-21*

It’s pretty but it’s a huge pita to do something simple like summarize activities since a certain day like when you want a 365 day overview etc. you have to alter the all time start date for each activity and build a summary yourself.

### 3/5 — Nice but limited

*2021-01-02*

Nice app, fine if you just want running or walking or basic things like that but I really wanted to track my yoga hours and a couple other sports I do and none of those are an option.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback! We’ve added over 20 new activities including Yoga.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Worth the cost

*2026-02-17*

Does what it says it does, and the developer is responsive and helpful.

### 5/5 — Does exactly what you want it to do!

*2025-05-25*

Great app if you want specific totals on a widget. Note that the app uses apple health to sync your data, so not totally private.. then again, nothing is nowadays.

### 5/5 — Just what I needed

*2025-02-04*

I spent hours searching the App Store last weekend for a basic widget for my home screen with how many steps I have taken. I downloaded so many bloated “trial version” apps with features I didn’t need trying to sell me crazy $30/year subscriptions. This one is it!! This is all I needed! $3.99 one time purchase. Hats off to the developer. I’ve been using this for a few days now and this is going to help me a lot.

So many of the apps assume that you want to exercise more or be more active and have features around that. I don’t—I have an autoimmune disease and I tend to do too much activity and make myself sicker. I need to walk less. This is a nice simple app and I am able to look at how many steps I have taken in a day at a glance. It doesn’t update steps in real time, but it does update frequently enough for me, on the default settings. If you need to refresh it you can click through to the app and it will refresh with the latest number from the Health app. I haven’t tested but it feels like it is automatically updating about every 15 min or so?

Anyway, if you read this far you should totally buy this! :)

### 5/5 — Good Info

*2024-08-10*

So glad I purchased this app. Really like having stats that show previous weeks or months etc. Absolutely top price for such a lot as well so thanks dev. Highly customisable and a really nice looking app. Would deffo recommend.

### 5/5 — Exactly as advertised!

*2024-06-26*

Nice, simple, and reliable! Really love the no data collection. The only way for this to be better is with a Watch companion app.

### 5/5 — Reading from NikeRun

*2023-10-19*

I have been using NikeRun since 2013. This app is not counting those miles. I do have Nike as a source

### 5/5 — Awesome app! Monthly View?

*2023-08-18*

Love the app! I would like to pick a month and see a list of all the runs for that month? Maybe I am missing it? Is that capability there? Thanks!

### 5/5 — Fills the Gaps of Apple Heath’s Views

*2023-04-29*

This is a terrific app. Simple, customizable, and includes a widget that shows weekly workout mileage for those who walk and run. Please keep this going!

### 5/5 — Nearly perfect, just needs calorie deficit

*2022-11-09*

Excellent app all around, but I’m surprised to see that tracking your calorie deficit isn’t a feature for the app, since the necessary data (resting calories+active calories-dietary calories) is available in the app. To be fair though, this feature is missing from quite a few fitness tracking apps. Hopefully this feature is added in the future, otherwise great app!

**Developer response:** This is a great suggestion and we’d love to build this out. Feel free to drop us a message via feedback@fitnesstotals.com if you’re interested in beta testing this functionality.

### 5/5 — Great little app

*2022-10-14*

Does what I always think the Apple app should do by default!
