"I used Fitocracy to track my fitness progress as I prepared for Miss America, and Fitocrats were a big part of my success. Being a part of such a supportive, encouraging online community made getting and staying in shape fun for me." - Miss America 2013

"It's like Facebook but it will make you a better person: harder, faster, stronger."

"After a little over two months of using Fitocracy I gained 15 pounds of muscle mass. I've never been called cut before in my life until a few weeks ago. The app makes it all the more amazing."

"I promise you, no other service will motivate you to stay in shape more than this one will. It's easily the best fitness tracker in the App Store."

"Fitocracy is a genius idea. It takes the addictive leveling system of games such as Pokemon or Call of Duty and combines it with your workout. You start at Level 1, and each workout you do, depending on its difficulty, rewards you with points that eventually cause you to level up. It's motivation enough to watch how many points each workout will give you, then to try to top the points you earn each time you workout."

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-09, version 3.5.7*

Excellent app, only one like it, motivating and easy to program workout

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2024-10-11, version 3.5.7*

Tried to download this to both my iPhone and iPad. It freezes on the “Ready? Time for a Tutorial” screen

### 1/5 — Used to be great, now abandoned

*2024-10-11, version 3.5.7*

I loved this app years ago. I used to call it the last positive social media site on the internet. They have clearly abandoned the app and never removed the listing. The website is down, there is no support, the app doesn’t get past initial few screens, and the last update was 6 years ago.

### 1/5 — doesn't work on modern iphones

*2024-07-24, version 3.5.7*

app doesn't get past loading screen after intro tutorials. also doesn't accommodate the notch on latest iphones.

### 3/5 — Way too may pop up windows

*2024-07-09*

This app could be good, but there are too many windows to navigate just to log a workout. It’s a bit overwhelming and frustrating. Why so many windows just to log that I walked for an hour. Maybe I’ll try it again someday, but today seemed like it took too long just to do something as simple as logging a walk.

### 1/5 — Hacked?

*2024-07-08, version 3.5.7*

I should have read the reviews before I download and started fiddling with the app, which seemed pretty cool when I first started using it. I sent a link to my mom and bf to “Friend” me in the app and they both got a link that their phones are going to be hacked 🙄

Apple should be removing broken, useless, and potentially dangerous apps from the App Store.

### 1/5 — Finally, fully dead

*2024-03-11*

Welp, after five years of being a zombie app with no further development, it is fully and totally dead. App content refuses to load and attempts to log in to Fitocracy’s website view dead ends to a 500: INTERNAL SERVER ERROR screen.

I wish there was some notice of the impending doom, so I could have exported my custom workouts and logged progress to something else, instead of cobbling things back together from memory.

Fitocracy should now be housekept and deleted from the app store.

### 1/5 — Buggy and Abandoned

*2024-03-01, version 3.5.7*

This app has clearly been abandoned. No longer even functional.

### 1/5 — Not maintained and slowly deteriorating

*2024-02-10, version 3.5.7*

Workouts now take multiple attempts before they log. Buttons on the bottom of the screen overlap the edge of the screen on iOS, such as the + button to add a set. Makes using the app cumbersome and frustrating. The internal feedback link goes to a broken page. Sad to see what’s become of this app.

### 4/5 — Good app, room for improvement.

*2024-01-07*

After using this app for 11 years, it hasn’t changed much. Reward/point based system. Great. Video based examples for (most) exercises. Great. Nice library of exercises. Awesome. Way to submit a request to add a new exercise. Awesome. That request going into a black hole and never seeing it. Not great. No visual representation of progress (interactive graph). Not great.

This app is my main and has been for more than a decade. I wish they’d improve it more though and bring it up to the 2020s level of polish other apps are debuting with.
