### 4/5 — Missing Features

*2022-06-23*

I love this app because me and my brother both enjoy playing it. But it would be nice if you could add a feature where you can save sliced or cooked items and blend multiple at a time. Adding seasoning and liquids (such as soy sauce and milk) could expand kids knowledge of what is healthy and what you might not wanna eat everyday. Overall this app is a great app that I would highly recommend.

**Developer response:** Thank you for playing Fitoons and for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback! These are great ideas and we'll surely consider them for future updates. :-)

### 2/5 — Body image issues waiting to happen

*2020-04-13*

Eat a cupcake, get fat. Not really the positive attitudes towards food and exercise I am trying to promote with my kiddo.

**Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We understand your concern but we must say that the app does not promote in any way an “ideal” body image. And the characters’ bodies do not change by eating a single cupcake.

We’ve put much effort and consideration into this app and we’ve taken extra care to make sure that the messages are balanced and healthy. In the gameplay there is no superiority whatsoever on the slim characters. On the contrary, we’ve designed the app in a way that allows kids to decide how their character looks and what to feed them.

Characters start with different body types and there is no notion of favoring one over the other. There is no reward for losing weight nor penalty for gaining weight. The reward comes only for successfully completing sports. Kids can enjoy playing with slim characters or larger ones, and the athletes' performance is not affected by their body type whatsoever. They must all put the same effort into completing the exercises, and they demonstrate the same level of fatigue at the end of a difficult set.

Diet is also a free will choice in the app. All kinds of food are available in the fridge, both healthy and not so healthy. You will find broccoli next to donuts and apples next to croissants. The kids are free to choose what to feed their athletes and how to cook their meals. However, if they choose to overfeed them with greasy and sugary foods, they will eventually see their character’s body change.

By including a variety of foods, the app wants to show children that they can also enjoy less healthy foods in moderation, as part of a healthy diet.

We’ve designed Fitoons to help kids learn which foods are healthier, get to know different kinds of physical activities and learn how to balance food intake and exercise. They learn that exercise can be great fun but it is not always easy, and that being fit and healthy requires determination, persistence and self-control. As parents ourselves, we believe it’s important for our kids to practice these values from an early age, and grow up to be mindful about their physical health.

Thanks again for sharing your feedback and we hope we helped you see the benefits, balance and thoughtfulness of our app.

### 1/5 — Bad for kids

*2022-05-25*

This game is bad for kids it shows kids that eating makes you gain weight and you need to exercise to be skinny and do dangerous stuff to lose weight and it’s sending a bad message to kids

**Developer response:** Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are really sorry that you feel this way about Fitoons. However, the app does not show that eating makes you gain weight. On the contrary, one third of the app’s gameplay is about the joy of cooking and eating. Moreover, the main reward for completing workouts is unlocking new foods to add to the fridge. After a couple of workout sessions, the athletes explicitly ask for food and the app encourages children to visit the kitchen and fuel the athletes up with all sorts of different foods.

Kids are free to choose what to feed their athletes and how to cook their meals. There are plenty of food choices, both healthy and not so healthy which are equally enjoyed by the athletes. By including a variety of foods, the app wants to show children that they can also enjoy less healthy foods in moderation, as part of a healthy diet. However, if they choose to overfeed the characters with greasy and sugary foods, they will eventually see their body change.

The reward comes only for successfully completing sports. Kids can enjoy playing with slim characters or larger ones, and the athletes' performance is not affected by their body type whatsoever.

You also mention that there are dangerous activities in the app. We really want to know more about which activities you find dangerous. The app includes common exercises, sports and activities, like jumping jacks, squats, hopping on a trampoline, running, skateboarding etc. Fitoons doesn’t even encourage children to follow along. This is a pretend-play app in which kids get to be the coaches and their role is to make healthy choices for their athletes.

### 1/5 — Bad for kids body imagine

This app is showing kids that eating makes you fat and that not eating is good. This is horrible for kids self image..

### 1/5 — Arnaque ?

*2020-03-31*

Je viens de l’acheter... je n’ai accès qu’à 2 personnages et ... 1 sport !!! TRÈS décevant

**Developer response:** There are 20 sports, 6 characters and more than 45 food items in Fitoons! At the beginning you only have access to some of them. Every time you complete a sport challenge, you unlock a new sport, as well as a new food or a character. So, keep playing and eventually you will unlock everything. We hope you enjoy the game!

### 2/5 — I HATE THE GAME IT SCARES MY CHILD BUT ITS A LITTLE FUN

*2023-06-11*

I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO SAY

### 2/5 — Concerned Parent

*2021-01-13*

Within one session playing on this game, one of my daughters was pretending to be “the fat one” and the other daughter “the thin one”. There was definitely superiority attached to the thin role.

Obviously this language didn’t come from the game, but it did introduce the concept into our home.

I wish it had some more balance to it. Being too thin and over exerting yourself will kill you a lot quicker than being overweight and idle.

The character should need a burger, a piece of cake and a dvd boxset to improve their health too.

Balance and perspective is lacking in this game aimed at very young children.

Statt aktiv Sport zu machen, bleibt das Kind vor dem Bildschirm hocken und trainiert Gestensteuerung, indem es mit dem Finger auf dem Bildschirm hin und her wischt.
