## What is FitPlot?

FitPlot is a private, everything-in-one-place fitness tracker for people who log every set, mile, round, and hold. Log every kind of workout, capture body measurements with the front or LIDAR camera, and watch your progress in a chart-first Performance view. Your workouts, measurements, and body data never leave your device.

Log workouts fast. Tap Workout Session and FitPlot creates today's session automatically. Add exercises from a picker of names you've already used — a returning Bench Press, 5K row, AMRAP, or weighted plank all come pre-populated with last week's numbers, so you only type what actually changed. Every set is independent, so if you drop weight when redlining on set 3 the volume math still comes out right. Save an exercise and the session lands in your history with real start and end timestamps.

Four exercise types, one workout log. **Resistance Training** captures sets, reps, weight, and one-rep max. **Cardio** covers Walking, Hiking, Running, Cycling, Rowing, and Other — with fields for duration, distance, steps, heart rate, calories, and additional weight carried (for rucking or weighted vests). **Circuit** logs AMRAP and for-time WODs as rounds plus partial reps. **Isometric** captures hold time per set for planks and wall sits, with resistance weight when you use it. Type is picked once per exercise name; returning names skip the picker.

Measure your body without a tape. The front-camera scan uses pose detection and a body-mask to estimate every major circumference — neck, chest, waist, stomach, hip, upper arm, forearm, thigh, calf — plus a body-fat percentage using the U.S. Navy formula when you've provided your biological sex. On iPhone Pro models the Lidar scanner adds true depth for a more accurate reading. Voice-triggered — say "measure" and the scan starts hands-free.

Chart everything. The Performance view plots exercise volume (weight times reps, per set, summed across the workout) over time, with orange callouts on workouts where your working weight changed. Switch the picker to any measurement — Chest, Waist, Body Fat, Shoulder Width — to graph body-composition trends the same way.

Ties into Health. Each completed session writes an HKWorkout to Apple's Health app with duration and estimated active energy, so your Move and Exercise rings reflect what you actually did. Cardio subtypes route to the matching activity in Fitness — a hike logs as Hiking, a run as Running, a ruck on flat ground as Walking with the pack weight factored into calories — instead of collapsing every session into a single generic type.
