## What is FitSnap?

Turn your workout into a photo worth sharing. No account, no login, just your Apple Health data (or a few taps of manual entry). Add real stats to any photo and save or share it anywhere, in seconds.

FitSnap adds clean, on-photo overlays of the numbers that actually matter to you: distance, duration, pace or speed, daily steps, even yoga poses and breath counts. Pick a theme, drop in your photo, and you're done.

WORKS THE WAY YOU ACTUALLY MOVE FitSnap isn't just for runners. It covers any activity, including running, cycling, hiking, walking, swimming, mountain biking, CrossFit, yoga, barre, strength training, cardio, boxing, surfing, climbing, and martial arts. Went for a hike, hit the mats, or just logged your steps for the day? There's an overlay for that. Rides read in speed, swims read in meters or yards with pace per 100, runs read in pace. Each activity shows the number you'd actually quote to a friend.

NO ACCOUNT. NO LOGIN. NO HASSLE. FitSnap reads straight from Apple Health, which already collects workouts from apps like Strava, Garmin, and Nike Run Club. If a workout is in Health, FitSnap can turn it into a photo. Prefer to skip the sync entirely? Enter your stats manually in a few taps. No account, sign-up, or login required.

THEMES FOR EVERY KIND OF WORKOUT Choose from Fresh, Sporty, Running, Steps, Retro Track, Yoga, Strong, Afterburner, Ghost, and Varsity. Each theme is crafted with its own type, color, and layout, so your stats look designed, not stamped on. With 145 layout variants across the collection, there's a version that fits your photo.

PUT YOUR STATS IN THE SCENE Turn on Depth effect and your stats slide behind you in the photo, so the text reads like it belongs in the shot instead of sitting on top of it. It's one tap, right on the photo. Requires iOS 17 or later.

### 4/5 — Good

*2018-08-23*

I like this app but I wish I could remove the “pace” from it. I walk the first mile of most of my runs, so it adds minutes to my actual running pace. Lol

### 3/5 — Used to love this app but...

*2018-03-31*

Now the pictures end up off and a black border ends up around them unless I zoom in. Please fix this so I can enjoy the app again!

### 3/5 — Useful but aging

*2018-02-02*

Please consider an update to support Instagram's non-square aspect ratios; also, sharing direct to Instagram has been broken for some time.

### 5/5 — Fun

*2017-07-16*

Fun little fitness app. I like to use it after my morning run. Gets the day started right.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2017-06-24*

### 4/5 — Link to Garmin.

*2017-06-19*

I only wish I could link my runs to Garmin.. it only links to mapmyfitness strava run keeper and under armor. Other then this it's great.

### 5/5 — Very satisfied

*2017-04-10*

### 5/5 — Great app with Strava integration

*2017-03-13*

This app makes it easy to add your running stats onto a picture.

### 5/5 — Favorite tool!

*2017-01-13*

### 4/5 — Nice app

*2016-12-21*

This app is simple and creates nice pics. You need a cycling section and it would be nice to grab info from Garmin.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.3 — 2026-08-20

Every style updated to make your workout photos look even better.

ALL TEN STYLES, UPDATED
Each one has been redrawn from top to bottom. Sharper type, better spacing, richer color.

YOUR NUMBERS, FRONT AND CENTER
Stats sit on soft shading shaped to the design, so they read clearly on any photo. Big numbers line up. Values sit neatly in their space.

BEAUTIFUL IN EVERY LANGUAGE
Headlines are fitted to the room they have, in all nine languages, so your best line always reads big and bold.

POLISHED DOWN TO THE DETAILS
We went through all 145 designs one by one. Crisper lines, truer colors, and details that hold up when you zoom in.

### 2.2 — 2026-08-19

Nine languages, eighteen new layouts, and artwork that goes behind you.

NINE LANGUAGES FitSnap now speaks English, French, German, Spanish, Latin American Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, Japanese and Korean. Activity names, pace, distance and the yoga pose names all follow your language and your region.

EIGHTEEN NEW LAYOUTS Every theme picked up something new. Ghost Aura wraps you in a soft halo. Varsity Billboard runs your activity across the whole shot. Retro Track Scoreboard stacks your stats in repeating bands. Running Knockout cuts the activity name out of ink stripes. Strong Shutter, Sporty Big Word, Steps Crosswalk Field, Afterburner Ribbons, Yoga Ensō Open and Fresh Poster round out the set.

ARTWORK BEHIND YOU, NOT JUST TEXT Many of the new layouts put their artwork behind you in the photo while your stats stay in front, so the whole design looks like it belongs in the scene. Turn on Depth effect to see it. Requires iOS 17 or later.

SMOOTHER EDITING Dragging your stats around is smoother now, especially on the layouts with large background artwork.

### 2.1 — 2026-08-07

What's New in 2.1

DEPTH EFFECT
Your stats can now sit behind you in the photo, so the text looks like it's really there in the scene. Tap Depth effect on your photo to try it. Requires iOS 17 or later.

TEN NEW FILTERS
We rebuilt the whole filter set from scratch. Richer color, real film grain, and previews that are bigger and sharper so you can actually see what you're picking.

THREE NEW LOOKS
Ghost Frame wraps your photo in a border with your headline number on the top rail. Retro Laps repeats your activity across the whole shot. Afterburner Burst adds radial speed lines behind you.

CYCLING SHOWS SPEED
Rides and mountain bike rides now read in mph or km/h instead of pace, the way you actually think about them.

SWIMMING IN METERS OR YARDS
Pick the pool you swam in and see your pace per 100.

SNAP TO CENTER
Drag your stats around and they click neatly into the middle of the photo, with guides that show you when they're lined up.

### 2.0 — 2026-08-07

FitSnap 2.0 is here! The original FitSnap, launched on the App Store in 2013, has been rebuilt from the ground up. A rebuilt, faster overlay editor, a refreshed look across all themes, and smoother Apple Health import. Still no subscription. Thanks for making FitSnap part of your workout routine.

### 1.46 — 2015-09-02

This app has been updated by Apple to display the Apple Watch app icon.

Strava users, fixed problem with app closing when selecting an activity.
