I searched BBB & there they were #1 😊👏🏽 After making the call my confidence grew. They were soooo Professionally kind, compassionate and extremely understanding. The accessible account has increased my confidence of their able because of their transparency to processing and capability online. Everything is right there so you know how your case is going. There is real people there they talk to you and assure you that they can help. I’ve always talked with someone and never been disappointed they are fixing what i myself had no chance of doing alone. I done deal w debtors no more letters no calls coming in this means the world to myself I have had no stress since I came to them at all. They do exactly what they say they can and without them I would probably be on the streets or at least lost or sold everything to stay ahead but I didn’t. All I had to do was call and try to hear them out and trust them and what they have planned. I was relieved to even hear the words yes we can help you. It was a godsend to get a chance at stability a future without the mess I made over the years. Someone actually wanted to help me out when nobody else would. So five lakes took me in and I’ve never had to ask anything of them because they are there to help me , you too and even the ones that are too embarrassed to pick up the phone and call, do it if your thinking of needing help what do I do? You should take a hour make a call and believe in the process it’s not all about give me your money! It’s not to shame you it’s to do what most don’t do. Give care and offer us all help you can do it just tell them the truth your in a bad spot and need help. You too can be happy again I guarantee days and weeks later you will feel like a new person I do and it’s all because of Five Lakes and the wonderful staff and just to have someone care not tons just care about another person in need. AVOID FIVE LAKES. *2026-08-14, version 6.127.0* You will begin at an easy amount to pay, then Five Lakes will mismanage your money, causing your payments to double or triple without warning. I am quite literally making a rent payment to Five Lakes. I ask them for help and I stay on the phone with them for over an hour for them to say they can't do anything. Agents are nice, but these resolution offiers are terrible. I'm close to being out of this terrible program and I've seriously regretted every second of it. Their chat after you By-Pass the AI is just people in another country hitting auto reply buttons. I would say avoid, everything was good until after a year now I am worse off than I was before I came to them. Please reconsider utilizing them to "help" with your debt. ### 1/5 — Mistake *2025-09-22, version 6.82.1* They will mismanage your money and you will pay more money than you were on your cards in the first place 😒 ### 1/5 — Don’t use *2025-07-28, version 6.74.0* Save yourself all the headache and please don’t use ### 1/5 — Scam *2025-01-14, version 6.46.0* They told me they can help and after I agreed, a week later the debt collectors took all my money out of my bank and these ppl did nothing. ### 1/5 — BE CAREFUL!!!! Need attorney just to read agreement *2024-12-20* To start, I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY. Why? I was in financial hardship of my own stupidity and decided to give them a try for Credit Card debt relief. They were open and honest about the whole process during onboarding except for 1 detail. THEIR FEES!!! When they get a resolution offer for you, and you agree, they take a 27% cut. Was this described during onboarding. NOPE. This isn't 27% off the resolution offer either. They take it from the original full balance when you signed up!!! Also, not discussed. I know you have to make money and I’m okay with that but 27%? When you’re talking debt that is as much as a car. That is a lot of money. Talk about “makin it rain”. They make the deal sound good by saying you pay a low APR and us peasants have no clue how that works except 6% seems like a good deal. Was it in the paperwork during onboarding? Yes. Do you need a magnifying glass and an attorney to read it? YES!!! It was my own stupidity to trust a business like this without fully going over the agreement. The old ways still take effect today people. If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS!!! Side note. I received an offer letter for half what I owed directly from the creditor. I could have agreed to that and their payment plan for a lot less and without my credit bombing too much. To end, you don’t need to make the same mistake I did. You see, the tactic is the waiting game. They will take something rather than nothing and if you wait long enough, they will start contacting you with a lower amount and less of a hit on your credit. Jimmy ### 1/5 — Be Cautious *2024-11-13* When I first started Five Lakes earlier this year I was excited to finally start my journey. Throughout the process it’s been less and less communication. But one particular account is delaying me being able to move and when I called five lakes were able to assist me and said they could accommodate my need. Now when I called again to follow up, they gave me a different answer and now have hindered my situation more. If you can work directly with creditors I would try that first but be careful dealing with the program. I have been to court 4 times to help resolve an account that wasn’t taken care of in a timely manner. That’s 4 days off of work with no pay ! My payments are always on time. I just got another summons to appear in court in June ! Why aren’t all my accounts taken care of ? I joined with them over a year ago !!! Not a happy camper !! Everything they told us in the beginning has proven to be up front and on point. I am a Marine Corps vet and once I got out, I left with nothing much in my bank account. Relying on my credit card to survive. As time went on, was unable to make the minimum payments of $800 on the credit card.
