## What is Five Minute Expert?

How to be a five-minute expert for every room you walk into.

You are headed into a meeting, a conference, a client dinner, a cocktail party where the big wigs are talking business. The topic is private equity, or healthcare, or AI, or the deal everyone is talking about, and it is not your world. Five Minute Expert is the friend in the car on the way over: one glanceable Brief per room, five minutes, and you walk in confident.

This is not about bluffing. It is about being a quick study on complicated topics so you can engage, make real connections, and have meaningful conversations in the rooms you want to be in, or find yourself in.

EVERY BRIEF HAS THE SAME SEVEN BLOCKS
01 The Room Read: what everybody is talking about, layered by time. Yesterday, this week, and this month (the stories people are still bringing up). Each one is a bold lead, one sentence on why the room cares, and the exact line you would say out loud, with the source named.
02 Sound Interesting: one sentence, one smart source you can cite by name.
03 The Lingo: the acronyms and terms that buy you five minutes, each with a plain meaning and a sentence you could actually say. Pronunciation only when saying it wrong outs you.
04 Key Players: the companies, institutions, and people who decide, lead, and influence in this room. Who they are, why the room cares, and the angle: how the insiders actually see them.
05 The Joke Shelf: lines for jumping in on a laugh the room already started. Never start the joke.
06 Things Not to Say: the misuse flags and old-news landmines that out you instantly.
07 The Exit Ramp: three questions that hand the floor back. Facts get you in the door; questions keep you in the conversation.

THE PACKS AT LAUNCH
The Interesting Person (for any room), Entrepreneurship, Private Equity, Mergers and Acquisitions, AI, Healthcare Services, and Sports. All free in this release.

BUILT FOR THE ROOM YOU ARE ACTUALLY IN
Every pack downloads to your device, so it works at the conference with the congested Wi-Fi and the cocktail party with one bar of signal. Fresh content is pushed to your phone and sits there loaded before you walk in; the room read is refreshed monthly for now, more often as the shelf grows, and every Brief shows both dates up top.

Glance mode: one block per page, flick to advance, looks like checking your phone.
The audio edition: every Brief recorded in a warm, natural voice, downloaded with the pack, played offline with lock-screen controls, for the ride over.
Quiz me: hide the lingo meanings and test yourself before you walk in.
Four palettes plus Auto: Paper, Tan, Ledger, and Wire, so it reads like a good technical paper or a financial report, your call.
Large type for arm's length, phone held low.
Share any Brief as a one-page PDF. The note-card tradition: carry it, read it on the ride, dispose of the evidence.
iPhone and iPad.

No account. No sign-in. Nothing collected. Ever.

A five minute read. An hour of expertise.
