## What is FiveArc?

FiveArc (formerly Waqt) keeps prayer times, the next-prayer countdown, and adhan alerts calm, clear, and close at hand. Times are calculated on your device and work offline, with no account required. Recitation audio streams online; suras you download are available offline.

ACCURATE, LIKE YOUR MOSQUE
- Choose the calculation method used where you live: Diyanet, ISNA, Muslim World League, Umm al-Qura, Egyptian, Karachi, and more
- Fine-tune each prayer time minute by minute to match your mosque
- Optionally display both Asr times — asr-ı evvel and asr-ı sânî — at once; this setting is off by default

NEVER MISS A PRAYER
- Turn adhan notifications on or off for each prayer
- Choose an adhan sound or a discreet reminder, and silence it with one tap
- See the next prayer at a glance with the home-screen widget

A COMPANION FOR THE WHOLE YEAR
- Ramadan mode with imsak, iftar, and a suhoor countdown
- Monthly prayer-time table and Hijri holy days
- Full Qur'an tab with the complete Arabic text bundled for offline reading (Tanzil Project, CC BY 3.0)
- Stream Mishary Rashid Alafasy's recitation of every sura, or download a sura to listen offline
- Ayah-by-ayah highlighting that follows the audio, background playback, and search by sura name or number
- Qibla compass and tasbih counter for daily dhikr
- Missed-prayer (kaza) tracker: your counts remain on-device and are never uploaded; a backup code lets you carry them to a new phone

DESIGNED LIKE AN OBSERVATORY
A deep night sky, a clear countdown, and a glowing sun arc — and with Pro, a sky that changes with the time of day. No clutter, no noise. Available in 10 languages.

HONEST BY DESIGN
Prayer times, the next-prayer countdown, and adhan notifications are always free. They are never gated and never require you to watch an ad.

One optional rewarded video unlocks a four-hour pass to the Qur'an tab, qibla compass, tasbih counter, monthly table, and missed-prayer tracker. FiveArc Pro keeps them unlocked while your subscription is active. No ad ever appears while Qur'an recitation is playing, including in the free version.

FiveArc Pro also removes ads and adds a sky that shifts with the time of day and a gold-accented widget design. Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription. Cancel anytime.

SUBSCRIPTION AND TERMS
FiveArc Pro is an auto-renewable subscription, monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel it any time in your Apple Account settings.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.2 — 2026-11-05

Waqt is now FiveArc: the same app under a name that is easier to find. Five daily prayers, one path of the sun. Your settings, widget, missed-prayer counts and Pro subscription all carry over.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-10-24

Today's prayer times now have a label under the sun arc: tap “Today's times”, or swipe up, to see the whole day at once.
Also fixed: the city row in Settings when Settings is opened from the times list.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-23

The new Qur'an tab includes the complete Arabic text for offline reading and search by sura name or number (Tanzil Project, CC BY 3.0).
Download Mishary Rashid Alafasy's recitation on demand, one sura at a time; after the first download, that sura plays offline.
The recited ayah is highlighted. Playback continues in the background and on the lock screen.
On iPhone, the qibla compass now reads the device's magnetometer directly.
One optional rewarded video unlocks a shared four-hour pass for the Qur'an tab, qibla compass, tasbih counter, monthly table, and missed-prayer tracker; Waqt Pro keeps them unlocked while your subscription is active.
Prayer times, the next-prayer countdown, and adhan notifications stay free and are never gated. No ad appears during Qur'an recitation, including in the free version.
A new backup code lets you carry your missed-prayer counts to a new phone.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-15

Prayer alerts now actually arrive. The app never asked for the notification permission — all five prayers are on by default, and the request only ran when you switched one ON — so it asks on first run now.

An isha that falls after midnight is no longer lost, Umm al-Qura adds its Ramadan half hour, the qibla no longer freezes on some devices, and you are asked which city you are in the first time you open the app. Settings has its own button on the home screen, and a city row.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-12

Your language, at last.
Waqt now opens in the language your phone speaks — ten of them — and Settings has a new Language row so you can pick any of them yourself, at any time.

Also in this update:
• Qibla, Tasbih, the monthly table and missed prayers open for four hours with one optional ad you choose to watch, or stay open for good with Waqt Pro.
• Waqt Pro now removes ads as well as adding the living day-cycling sky and the gilded widget face.
• The prayer times, the countdown and adhan notifications remain free, with no ad in the way.
• Fixes: the subscription screen no longer clips its longest lines, and prayer alerts are rewritten when you change language.
