Been looking for an editor for my publication & the first interaction was just — unhelpful , to put it plainly. Js didn’t care to help me at all. I’m confused about not being able to call or video call on the app ? For an e-commerce communication platform where you strictly want all communication to be done within the app , you should be able to call to expand on details & have clear communication w/ your client within the app (?). The second interaction — my bf & I are convinced — was just AI (Which I’d also been consistently requesting we don’t use during any point of the process.) Then when I got my edited article back , they upcharged me $20 for making literally bare minimum editing. Like swapping “water” for “H2o” & claiming you improved readability bruh. I wanted to believe her , but my bf urged me to use AI to check if it looked AI-ed (paradoxical ik) & the timestamps were pasted into the document simultaneously along w/ instructions for the bot in her notes. He was very responsive and extremely polite, and we thank him so much for his work and for the explanations along the way to help us understand the process. ### 5/5 — Excellent Trademark Attorney Successfully Overcame a Difficult USPTO Refusal *2026-08-14, version 3.70* I had an excellent experience from start to finish. I hired him to assist with a difficult Section 2(d) likelihood of confusion refusal for my trademark. He reviewed the case thoroughly, identified strong supporting trademark registrations and legal arguments and prepared a very professional response to the USPTO. Most importantly the examining attorney withdrew the likelihood of confusion refusal, which was the biggest obstacle to getting my trademark registered. He was knowledgeable responsive, straightforward, and continued helping me address the remaining technical requirements. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with a USPTO Office Action especially a likelihood of confusion refusal. It is this rate for all 5 dollar transactions. Genuinely a scummy service. If you are a small business like me, find some work locally or on another platform. Whether the service is good or whether the service is bad, they’re going to force you to tip or you’re not going to check out. In this particular instance, I pay the freelancer fairly. there’s no need for a tip, but they will not let me check out. In fact, I gave freelancer double the normal charge. Again, unless you tip no check out. Oh well, I’ll bend to their extortion. And of course, Fivver will say just rate the guy badly and that way the tip screen won’t pop up. What a stupid game Fivver plays ### 1/5 — This is a total grift and racket *2026-08-13, version 3.70* The Fiverr service does everything to keep you down and just take your money. They take a portion from the client upfront and then you as the gig worker have another portion of your payment taken by them and if you get tipped out, they even take a portion of that. Then you have to pay them again to help promote you, and they will only move up your ranking if you buy into yet another program called the seller plus.. so say you have a $200 sale they will end up taking a good 25% after all their fees. And now with AI taking over the jobs are farther and fewer in between. ### 1/5 — Do not use it, save your money and health!!!! *2026-08-09, version 3.70* This is the worst platform; it operates dishonestly. I don't believe their reviews are genuine. I commissioned a project from a freelancer who missed the deadline; he asked for more time, and I granted it—then granted even more—but I could see he wasn't up to the task. I contacted support, but they didn't resolve anything; they kept saying that if the freelancer is in touch, I should settle it with him or just wait for him to finish. It’s simply ridiculous! It feels like this platform was built by schoolchildren; they take absolutely no responsibility and offer no real support to clients! Don't use it! ### 1/5 — The juice isn’t worth the squeeze *2026-08-06, version 3.70* After searching Tokopedia for some amazing deals I tried securing them through Fiverr. The proxy was quick and easy to communicate with. Then came the markups and fees… The great deals turned to prices I would expect from American companies. $317 in goods turned into an $799 invoice, and that was after I had to correct the proxy on their markups per item. I expected a small service fee and knew shipping would be high. $267 shipping on 7 items. $166 fee from Fiverr plus a service fee. What seemed like a good thing quickly deteriorated. ### 1/5 — Terrible Buyer Protection and MISLEADING Vendor Prices *2026-08-05, version 3.70* Fiverr is completely broken if you are a buyer trying to do honest business. Sellers are allowed to post misleading base prices on their gigs just to hook you, only to immediately demand double or triple the price once you send your project details. When you hold them accountable and point out their misleading pricing, the platform's automated moderation tools penalize and flag your account instead of addressing the vendor's dishonest practices. Customer support and platform design completely favor shady vendor upselling while punishing buyers who expect basic transparency.
