### 3/5 — Not working after the latest update

*2021-06-23, version 3.0.30*

App will jump out whenever I click on my job or support tab. I’m using IPhone XR. Issue reproducible after reboot.

### 1/5 — Do not use Fixd for your home warranty provider

*2021-01-26, version 3.0.23*

Do not recommend using this service as a home warranty provider. We have scheduled 5 services, all of which we were provided an arrival window for the service provider to arrive. Each time, the service provider has not shown up in the allotted time and in one case did now show up at all. I currently have a dishwasher that is filled with water and has been for over a week now. We’ve had to accommodate our schedules to make these appointments work and have not received the same courtesy from Fixd. I’d highly recommend you look elsewhere when choosing who you are going to use as your home warranty provider.

### 1/5 — Run! They should change the name to Broken

*2021-01-20, version 3.0.23*

Barely can get anyone on the phone. 3 techs came to my home and now my ac unit sound like it's about to explode. Told the tech it never sounded like that and he said I'll put it in my notes. Called immediately and was told noise is not under warranty. I never had this issue, until your techs touched my unit!!!! Horrible service. I mean horrible! The tech or nice with the exception the one that came to fix my issue and didn't even have the part! You can tell this is a new company unorganized and don't know how to handle issues at all. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

### 1/5 — They never fix anything

*2021-01-16, version 3.0.23*

Typical home warranty they dodge you left and right to avoid getting a tech out to you to fix anything. “Frustration Free” is definitely false advertising. We’ve been waiting a MONTH to get someone out to fix our dishwasher. We’ve called 10+ times and been told over and over that someone will call us the next day. AWFUL !! We went through the same experience in the middle of summer in Arizona with our AC.

### 1/5 — Home Owner

*2021-01-15, version 3.0.23*

Lots of problems with office follow through and company failure during evidently company turmoil before COVID. I am hoping these internal problems are in the past so I can enjoy the 5 Star experiences most of us clients had in earlier times. I still have not received credits for pool services billed to me after Fix’D stopped that service without warning but still billed me.

### 1/5 — Terrible tech support

*2021-01-15, version 3.0.23*

I scheduled an appointment for Monday from 7-9am. The appointment was accepted and then later changed to the afternoon on Tuesday without contacting me to see if that time worked for me. Contacting tech support can only be done in the app and it took 4 restarts of the app to get someone online. After I had described my issue, the tech asked what I needed help with. A very frustrating experience. I requested a callback and was told I’d get one. No call was placed.

Ways to improve are simple: If techs are not available during advertised timeframes and days, don’t advertise availability. Have tech support read what clients are reporting in the chat. Call customers when requested.

### 1/5 — Fixd did not allow their repairman to fix the problem.

*2020-12-23, version 3.0.22*

We are new to Frisco Lakes and choose Fixd as our home warranty provider. Fixd did not fix a plumbing problem which should have been covered under our warranty. The manager claimed the plumbing issue of hot water to the master shower was a pre existing condition when the hot water issue had not been identified on the home inspection report. The previous owners did not identify the problem either. We should have been given a new valve, but the rude manager who hung up the phone on me, just kept repeating that it was a pre existing problem.
Please do not waste your money or time on this warranty company.
Regards, Peter Ackermann

### 3/5 — A little confusing

*2020-10-27, version 3.0.21*

It took a moment for me to realize my home warranty was applied in the standard requests section of the app. I was confused why it was trying to charge me a service fee. I thought it was only for non-warranty requests, turns out it’s also for home warranty requests. I was expecting a “Start a claim” section... not just the regular interface to look for a professional. I wish it was more clear for first time users.

### 1/5 — Not Ready, Not Even Close

*2020-10-06, version 3.0.21*

Bottom line: Fixd is not ready to be a real company. The more ways we’ve given this company to communicate with us the more ways they’ve found to get it wrong. In the last month we’ve submitted 2 work orders. It took more than 2 weeks to get a hold “technician” I.e. Plummer to the home. In the meantime I’m receiving multiple redundant jobs notifications, some via text, others from the app, some via email and we even received a call from a human being and the only consistency between them all is they were all different and all wrong. The status changes contradict one another multiple times in a day and the agent that called was clueless to the problem. I will definitely not be renewing with Fix’d.

### 1/5 — Horrible Customer Service

*2020-09-15, version 3.0.21*

I am a Fixd Home Warranty customer and this is the most unscrupulous company I’ve ever had work on my home. I do not recommend this company to anyone, ever! Do not be fooled by this slick app allowing a home owner to schedule an appointment, track appointments, see costs... blah, blah, blah. An app is only as good as the company that backs it up. Their work is substandard and this customer service is atrocious. In fact, I’m wondering if they are running a Ponzi scheme basically collecting premiums from home warranty customers, denying any and all claims, only to subsidize non-home warranty customer’s jobs using the premiums collected from their other business. Buyer beware.

### 1/5 — Do not waste your time or money

*2020-08-01, version 3.0.18*

This company’s unacceptable level of customer service is beyond frustrating. Wait times for response are atrocious that’s if you get one. You will spend all day waiting on a tech because the two hour window is only clearly a suggestion. Skill level of techs is to be questioned. The company will always try the put a band aid on the problem instead providing a solution. Please save yourself the time, money, and frustration of this scam.

### 4/5 — 2.5 years of service ...overall much better than most

*2020-07-25, version 3.0.18*

Have had them come out on more than a dozen or so occasions. The biggest issue I had was with a broken water heater but they made it right in the end. Overall would and have re commended to several others.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2020-07-12, version 3.0.17*

I’ve been attempting to submit my first claim for days. The app won’t let you log in to do so. When I log in it gives me an error message that the text can’t be longer than 160 characters (it isn’t). I’ve reset my password, I’ve redownloaded the app, nothing works. Clearly this company makes money by making it impossible to submit a claim.

### 1/5 — A huge rip off!

*2020-07-11, version 3.0.17*

Had my request for Ac work almost 2 months ago , repairmen assigned to the job
One ruined the ceiling by putting g his foot thru it. He told my tenants he needed $, after I already paid for the service call. Next guy up said he need authorization for a part , but if we have him $170 on the side he’d fix it immediately . Next guy did not even show up! I chat with this company every day trying to get them to fix it, they apologize and tell me it’s at the top of their managers list to do but it’s almost been 2 months and it gets really hot in July in Texas .
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME MONEY AND EFFORT ON THIS SHAM COMPANY!

### 2/5 — Like the company but hate the app

*2020-07-08, version 3.0.17*

The app is seemingly intuitive but doesn’t actually offer much information. It still shows a balance from two years ago (that I didn’t owe in the first place but nobody can seem to get removed from my app). The chat conversations don’t carry from one login to the next, so you have to put your life on hold (and make sure your screen doesn’t go dark) while you try to get someone to answer your questions, which often take a while. The tracking of the technician is hit or miss and after checking it once this morning I wasn’t offered tracking again. The app also logs you out every time you close the screen, even if only for a second. My bank app doesn’t even do that. So much could be updated to make this a helpful app!

The company has also gone downhill somewhat in the last couple of years. They don’t provide a phone number on either the app or online so if you want to talk to a person, good luck finding out how. They also no longer have after-hours contacts so I’m not sure what happens in the event of an urgent need (pipe bursting or refrigerator going out).

### 1/5 — Cannot Login & Pat

*2020-05-19, version 3.0.14*

I have been in a holding pattern with this app trying to pay for today’s service. It’s asking me to “verify my phone number” but fails to send me a text. I have relished in several times been sent 3 reset emails and have yet to log in. I called the customer service number which after being on hold for a while, just hung up on me. I guess I just got a free disposal.

### 1/5 — No thanks

*2020-05-15, version 3.0.14*

An app based home warranty sounds convenient until you actually try it.
Good luck with the support tab- conversations disappear if you don’t keep the app open constantly and there’s no history of conversations to refer back to. Better hope your issue gets resolved quickly the first time (it won’t)

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2022-04-12, version 3.0.40*

This app doesn’t even work, don’t bother downloading. Allows you to create an account then when you tap anywhere inside the app it shows an alert that the app is “Under construction”

### 1/5 — Inconvenient

*2022-03-15, version 3.0.39*

This app used to allow you to request an appointment in the app itself. Now you have to call and request an appointment. That in and of itself is trash but they have no extended hours to speak with anyone to schedule an appointment. God forbid it’s winter and your furnace goes out at 10P.M. You’d have to wait until morning to speak with someone and hope there is an appointment available. Not all issues happen between 8-5 CST. That’s lazy and a slap in the face to people who need service.

### 1/5 — Get a different warranty provider

*2021-12-22, version 3.0.37*

Cannot book the trades online, have to call up and wait hours to speak to representative. They control the businesses who can provide the service. App and website is totally pointless as everything is handled on the phone.. Don’t be fooled. The website looks slick but doesn’t actually offer anything

### 1/5 — Class Action Lawsuit is Likely Coming

*2021-08-23, version 3.0.34*

Fix’d was sold to Cinch out of Boca Raton fall of last year. The merger took place early this year. Cinch destroyed EVERYTHING. Here’s a rundown that may assist the class action lawsuit that I suspect is coming their way.

1. Cinch substantively changed the coverage of Fix’d warranty holder congrats without informing them.

2. Cinch mired the warranty process with layer upon layer of delay, bureaucracy, and red tape, making it nearly impossible for Fix’d warranty contract holders to make claims against their contracts.

3. To maximize profit on contract financial reserves, Cinch knowingly stopped payment on all Fix’d customers causing lapses in coverage, ending the majority of their contract holder’s coverage without informing them or giving them recourse.

4. For the few contract holders that reminded in force, Fix’d has continued to make filing claims increasingly difficult. They claim the app can be used to make payments, see your contact, file claims, etc. None of that is true. Bad gateway error on the contract for the entire year. Payments were not accepted for months online and are currently intermittent at best. You have not been able to file a claim online for months despite the contract stating that’s that way to file a claim, not to mention their marketing material online.

### 1/5 — Is app broken?

*2021-07-01, version 3.0.30*

Every time I open the app it appears on screen for a moment then shuts down. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, restarted phone, etc. and nothing makes a difference. Since this is an app-based company and the only way to track your job number, it would be great if this could be fixed (no pun intended).

### 1/5 — Used to be great. No customer service anymore.

*2021-06-29, version 3.0.30*

So I booked a service for my dishwasher the other day. Technician got assigned only for FIXD to cancel the job a day later, saying my account was inactive.
Really, these amateurs inexplicably cancelled my account, while having a valid credit card on file.. for absolutely no reason at all…
But here is the best part.. you call in thinking it’s an easy solution?? Ha! That’s where you are wrong..
They don’t have customer service. Nothing! All they have is a “claims” department.. and that department will “email the acquisitions department” if you call.. and guess what? No nobody calls you back…
I guess you can imagine… after 5 calls, 5 emails, 2 chats… nothing…l. I am taking my business elsewhere and filing a BBB claim.

### 1/5 — App closing out

*2021-06-27, version 3.0.30*

App worked great for a few months but in the last week or so the app will only open for a few seconds and then close out. I have tried deleting the app, restarting my phone, and also made sure there were no updates needed to the app. Nothing has worked. FIXD can you please provide some support?

### 1/5 — If I could give them no stars I would

*2021-06-19, version 3.0.29*

They are horrible! Call about a repair to our freezer I’m February 2021. The contractor came the next day. Said the ice needed to melt first but knew what parts were needed and that it would need to be approved. He took our fridge outside to let the ice melt. It is now mid June our fridge is still outside and not the fridge side has stopped working. We have called multiple times to be told we have the wrong line and transferee us and have been hung up on multiple times. Have tried using the stupid add like the recording suggests only to be told by the stupid bot that they are busy and to send them a message with our email. I have done that both my email and my husbands and NOTHING!!!!! $750 for their coverage it way too much for their lack of empathy and support. I have terminal cancer and the medication I take twice a day daily NEEDS TO BE refrigerated!!!!!! That goodness we have our wine fridge but we now have to shop for our food everyday as we do not have enough cold storage. This company is ridiculous. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY on this home warrant.

### 1/5 — Terrible warranty

*2021-05-26, version 3.0.27*

This company isn’t worth it, they always find a way to deny the claim so you end up having to pay the service charge. The first time I used them for a broken latch on a washer they couldn’t get the part, gave us no time frame and we were without a washer for two months, when we threatened to cancel our contract they finally got the part.

My latest encounter was for an AC condenser that was making a loud metal on metal sound. The Tech came out and checked it, said the capacitor was bad, said he had the part, it would be covered with the repairs. Take it, this is a $30 part I can replace myself. The tech called it in, FIXD denied the work, said that it has to fully go out before they will fix it, even though it was causing the unit to under perform, it’s still under performing and putting a strain on the system, once they denied the claim the tech offered to do the work on the side... I declined the $200 repair. So in Texas coming into Summer I have to wait for my AC to fully stop working, then put in a service call and hope it doesn’t take them more than a few days to make repairs since I’ll have NO AC working.

I would definitely avoid the company and don’t waste your money or time on them.

### 1/5 — Customer what?

*2021-05-10, version 3.0.27*

Maybe I can change my rating after this job is complete. Worst customer service ever. I cannot for me a working phone number and I sat on chat for over two hours (yes I was determined to wait them out but they won).

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Easy to Schedule & Responsive

### 5/5 — Best home warranty company!

*2020-11-23, version 3.0.22*

You can schedule your job in the app which makes it very easy and convenient. You can also track the technician coming to your home so your not having to sit around and wait. Fixd replaced my water heater which was a $900 job that they covered. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Clogged drainage

### 5/5 — Orrin Hamilton

*2020-02-19, version 3.0.13*

Super satisfied with Fix’d associate Orrin Hamilton. He knows absolutely everything about swimming pools. He’s dependable, prompt and friendly. We’ve had a number of companies help us but Orrin and the people from Fix’d have been exemplary. They will take care of your home and pool maintenance.

### 5/5 — Excellent Service!

*2019-12-09, version 3.0.12*

We recommend 100% this company. The technicians are very professionals, the service is fast and the costumer service very friendly. We had 2 issues at home. One issue, was the gas leak in the water heater and the second issue was problems with our heater system. They resolved both situations efficiently just we paid $50 fee for each service.

### 5/5 — Loving this warranty program!

### 5/5 — LOVE THIS NEW COMPANY

*2019-09-06, version 3.0.9*

FINALLY...A REAL home warranty company that ALWAYS does what they say, what I paid for, and more than expected.

This company really does business the old fashioned way, and does MORE than a quick fix.

FIXD has brought integrity to this industry.

### 5/5 — We love fixd!

*2019-04-25, version 3.0.6*

We have been using fixd for 2 years, everything from faucet replacements to garbage disposal breaking to needing new HVAC parts. Every time they exceed my expectations. Each technician/plumber is friendly and quick. Great customer service as well. Thanks Fixd!

### 5/5 — Plumbing problem fixed.

*2019-01-07, version 3.0.3*

Joseph was able to figure out a drain problem I was having with the washing machine. Very unique problem and he didn’t give up until it was solved. Cleaned up after very polite and good advice on things I should update since I just moved in to a new house.
