I tried every troubleshooting step I could think of, and my phone’s regular camera worked perfectly, so the issue appeared to be with the app itself. Despite paying for the subscription, I still couldn’t use the camera. What was even more frustrating was the lack of customer support. There isn’t an easy way to contact support through either the app or the website. When I searched online for help, the only suggestion was to send a message through Instagram. The app has a lot of potential, but it really needs a more reliable support system so paying customers can get help when problems arise. **Developer response:** hey ally! thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback, and for sharing that you love the app. after receiving your review, we submitted an update to apple, version 3.2.3, with a critical bug fix that should address the very rare issue where the camera may display a black screen. please keep an eye out for the update once it becomes available, and we sincerely hope it fixes the issue for you. we are a very small team (literally started as me and my best friend, but we’re growing!) and up until now, we have been handling support through social media because that has been the most convenient way for many users to reach us, but we hear you. we are actively working on setting up a dedicated email support system so users can easily reach us with any questions or issues. in the meantime, please feel free to direct message us on ig or tiktok if the issue continues after the update. we are genuinely committed to fixing any problems users experience. we also believe the app has a lot of potential, and it was created by real people who love the digicam look but do not always want to carry a second camera when we already have one in our purse! thank you again for being a loyal user as we continue improving the app. if the update solves the issue, we would appreciate you updating your rating. if not, we will not settle until it is fixed for you. ### 5/5 — UNBELIEVABLY GOOD *2026-06-09* I’ve been wanting to buy a good camera for ages but didn’t want to spend the money. I’ve tried using similar apps to this, and honestly none of them satisfied me and just looked like silly filters. When I came across this app I was shocked at how good it makes ur pics and actually makes them so similar to £1000 camera!!! I’m actually so excited to take pictures for my holidays. I’m home now and able to charge my phone from the actual outlet, but my phone is super glitchy (swiping through my camera roll it lags, won’t swipe, doesn’t register my clicking on a photo, etc). Tolle app, aber dass man sie ohne Abo überhaupt nicht nutzen kann, macht sie sinnlos. Every time I click on the Album button on the lower left it just goes to my camera roll, but gives me no options to add them to the app itself. **Developer response:** hi! this is a camera app for taking pictures, not a filters/photo editing app for old photos. hope this helps! 🫶🏼 ### 1/5 — Won’t let you select photos *2026-07-05* I downloaded it so I could turn any photos I’ve already taken into g7x ones but whenever you click the photos album button it opens the photos app. Which means you can’t select a photo. It will only let you take a picture and turn it into g7x which is really the opposite of what I was hoping to use it for. Guess I’ll go back to dazzcam.
