## What is FlagDrop?

Never miss a race again.

FlagDrop is the motorsports schedule app for fans who are tired of missing the green flag because the race was at 4 AM their time, the broadcast switched networks, the schedule moved at the last minute, or it's buried across five different apps.

Every Formula 1, NASCAR (Cup, O'Reilly, and Craftsman), IndyCar, IMSA, and ARCA Menards race, practice, and qualifying in one app. Always in your local timezone. With reminders for exactly the sessions you care about, TV listings so you know where to watch before the lights go out, and widgets that put the countdown right on your Lock Screen.

Built by a race fan, for race fans. No accounts. No tracking. No ads.

WHAT YOU GET

- Widgets for your Home Screen and Lock Screen. A live countdown to the next session that ticks in real time and flips to LIVE the moment the green flag drops, with the TV channel and the rest of the weekend at a glance. Set each widget to one series or all of them, and run as many as you want.

- Reminders that show up on time, every time. Toggle notifications for any session: practice, qualifying, sprint, or the race. Set your lead time to live, 15 minutes, 1 hour, or 1 day before, and stack up to two per session. Alerts are delivered from our servers, so they arrive even if you haven't opened the app in weeks. The race won't sneak up on you again.

- Share any race in one tap. The share button sends the series, race name, start time in your timezone, and TV channel straight to the group chat. Never type out "it's Friday at 6:30 on FS1" again.

- Your schedule, your rules. Display and notifications are separate controls: hide the sessions you don't care about from your schedule without touching your alerts, or the other way around. The eye controls what you see, the bell controls what you hear.

- Your time zone, automatically. Every race converted to your local time the moment you open the app. No UTC math. No "wait, is that eastern or central?" confusion.

- Every series, one app. F1, NASCAR Cup, O'Reilly, and Craftsman, IndyCar, IMSA, and ARCA Menards. Practice, qualifying, sprint, and race sessions in a single schedule.

- TV listings. Every race shows the broadcaster: Prime Video, FOX, HBO Max, Apple TV, FS1, The CW, and more. Know where to tune in before you sit down.

- Track maps. See the circuit layout for each event, right on the race screen.

- Live countdown. Watch the seconds tick down to the next session, in the app and on your widgets. A red LIVE pill replaces the countdown when a session is on the air.

- Series filter. Only follow F1 and NASCAR? Toggle off the rest. Your schedule stays focused on what you actually watch.

- Feels right. Smooth transitions, swipe from the left edge to go back, and an interface that stays out of your way.

COMING SOON: Live Activities, a lock screen countdown card during race weekends, plus MotoGP and WEC on the roadmap. Updates ship throughout 2026.

Free for the core experience. No accounts required. No ads, ever.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.1 — 2026-08-17

Share any race with one tap.

- New share button on every race. Send the series, race name, time in
your timezone, and TV channel straight to the group chat. No more
typing out "it's Friday at 6:30 on FS1" ever again
- Small improvements under the hood

Still haven't added your widget? Long-press your Home Screen, tap +, and
search FlagDrop.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-10

Your lock screen just became a pit board.

- Widgets are here — home screen and lock screen. A live countdown to the next session, the TV channel, and the whole race weekend at a glance
- The countdown ticks in real time and flips to LIVE the moment the green flag drops — and stays live until the checkered flag
- Set each widget to one series or all of them. Long-press, Edit Widget, done. Run an IndyCar widget and a NASCAR widget side by side

Also in this update:
- Display and notifications are now separate controls — the eye hides sessions from your schedule, the bell controls your alerts
- Smooth screen transitions and swipe-from-the-left-edge to go back
- A one-time tour of what's new, plus Settings now shows whether you've added a widget
- Clearer bell icons — off now looks off

Most of this update was requested by users in the last two weeks. Keep the ideas coming — Live Activities are next.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-07-21

FlagDrop has a voice now.

This update adds a custom notification sound — a quick chirp that tells you a session is coming without you even looking. Every practice, qualifying, and race alert now sounds unmistakably like FlagDrop.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-15

Notifications, rebuilt.

FlagDrop now delivers race alerts from our servers instead of scheduling
them on your device. What that means for you:

- Never miss a session again — alerts arrive even if you haven't opened
  the app in weeks
- No more iOS scheduling limits — every session you follow gets its
  alert, all season long
- Schedule changes are handled automatically — if a race moves, your
  alert moves with it

Your existing settings carry over — same series, same lead times,
nothing to set up. Just update and you're covered.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-05-31

What's New in 1.4

- Introducing IMSA. FlagDrop now follows the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, all 11 rounds including the Rolex 24 At Daytona and Petit Le Mans. Head to the Series tab to follow it and get reminders for practice, qualifying, and every race.

- Track maps for IMSA. Race screens now show the circuit layout for each IMSA event.

- More reliable schedules. We tightened up NASCAR session times, with better handling of rain delays and rescheduled races.

- Also in this update: IndyCar warm-up sessions now appear on the schedule, plus a cleaner, more consistent look across every series.

Thank you for using FLAGDROP!
