After years of being able to use my watch anywhere to monitor. Very disappointing. ### 2/5 — Not too impressed *2026-08-09, version 6.7.72* Each time I start a cook and name it/set it up, about ten mins in the app starts a new cook, then when I go into history to see the cook I actually set up, it kicks me out and goes to the new cook that it automatically created. The reason for two stars is the device at least holds the temp that I set. Now it’s terrible. It doesn’t connect to the correct Wi-Fi that I have. Yesterday also I used the last update and now I can't set the meat temp below 140 F. Before was 100 F. For me is very important because I do a lot of reverse searing. They moved everything to a cloud-based infrastructure, and now the app constantly loses connection. It’s become unreliable and frustrating to use, and you can’t depend on it when you actually need it. Most of the time, you’re forced to use a desktop or laptop just to check the temperature, which defeats the whole purpose of having the app. ### 2/5 — Updates make it useless *2026-02-07, version 6.7.24* Unfortunately, the most recent round of updates for this app have rendered the alert system useless. It no longer will update you with your meat temp or the pit temp via text or messaging unless you have the app actively open. Why would I need alarms or messaging if my phone is on and the app is open. My confidence in this unit’s ability to alert me if my pit is having a problem or my meat has reached the desired temperature has fallen to nearly 0. Without a fix for this via update on the software, I would look at precision temperature or a different grill control device. ### 1/5 — Fix the app!!! *2026-01-28, version 6.7.24* How can I go back to an old version?? Whatever happened a few months ago has really made your product horrible to use. I no longer recommend it as I can’t connect easily to the smoker anymore.
