Amanda from Flamingo patiently took me through it all and was very responsive. I will now put my trust in this app completely. We have a complex situation involving time spent in numerous countries and several US states. This app's intuitive design simplifies what could be a complex and distracting tracking process—it has been a big stress reducer, to say the least. But what truly impressed us was the level of customer support. I had a few unique scenarios I wanted to clarify, and after reaching out, I received prompt, detailed, and supportive responses. It is unusual to find a blend of well-designed software and exceptional support. I confidently recommend this app to anyone in need of managing their travel and residency details. All was good until randomly it deleted all my travel that was input. I put this down to bad luck so input it all again and hey presto a few months later all deleted again. I'm very happy with it.​ ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Paid $30 and Cannot Use the App *2025-11-23, version 2.2.8* I’m really disappointed with this app. The features I used during the free trial, especially basic residency and tax day tracking, were not included after I paid for the subscription. Once I upgraded, I discovered I needed to pay for a second tier just to access the same tools the trial let me use for free. The app has three subscription tiers, which feels excessive and confusing, and none of that was made clear during the trial. I paid $30 and cannot even use the core features I expected. The pricing is extremely high for what you actually get, and there is no straightforward way to get a refund. The whole experience feels misleading and not worth the cost at all. I would not recommend this app until they make their pricing and feature tiers clear and actually include basic tax tracking in the base plan. ### 1/5 — Base subscription doesn't allow tax tracking *2025-10-27* You would think the $30 a year would track minimally taxes and visa since it's in the title, but it doesn't. I would have to pay $50 to get that additojal basic function. Honestly a rip off and they deferred me to reportaproblem to try to get a refund. Now you doubled your price and lowered the quality of service by reducing trackers, for data that is al provided by my device, not your software. Flamingo isn’t just reading your phone’s GPS; most of the work (and cost) is our compliance engine that keeps tax, Schengen, and city-level rules current worldwide, which is why our pricing is comparable to other full-feature competitors. The app doesn’t just count your days in the country anymore, but allows you to monitor your tax and visa/permit status, set up custom requirements and rules and shows proactive warnings and alerts to help you avoid violations. If a specific tracker or workflow you relied on seems missing, please message us in-app — we’ll help you get the same coverage set up and pass your feedback to the team. ### 1/5 — "Upgrade" a disaster *2025-08-15, version 2.0.4* Stay away. Upgrade is horribly complex. Unintuitive, difficult to make sense of what it is doing. Constant notes to upgrade no matter whether what you are trying to do is already part of the subscription. There are so many apps that do this. I cant imagine who this would make sense for. We have homes in both Florida and Minnesota. We just became FL residents. I wanted to be able to easily prove I was out of MN 183 days. I just checked the app and after only 33 days it is totally wrong. I was in FL 29 days and in MN for 4. It says I was 7 nights in and 26 nights out of my state of residency. I’m so disappointed as I trusted this app would do what it’s supposed to do. Now I don’t have the easy, accurate records to prove my residency for 2024. It’s too late to start another residency tracking app for this year. What a waste of money.
