### 1.4.0 — 2026-09-03

This one is mostly about the journal.

Notes now sit on the same level as the diary instead of on a page behind it. Entries can go into folders of your own, and pinching the tile view changes the number of columns. Anything you delete goes to a trash rather than nowhere, kept separately for diary and notes, and you can bring it back from there.

Out there, you can now follow a walk you have saved. The map shows a large arrow, the distance left and a bar. Guidance keeps running when you leave the view, and a line above the tab bar takes you back.

The map has a filter now, so that weeks in the same area still add up to something you can read, and every walk says where it was. It stays usable straight away even with many walks.

A walk's distance is recorded more accurately and shown the same way everywhere, in the list, on the share card and in the detail. For walks you already have, the shared number may come out slightly higher than before.

A recorded walk now survives even if the app crashes or is terminated while you are saving it.

The export carries readable text files alongside the JSON. At the largest text sizes everything stays usable, dates and numbers follow the language of the app, and the share sheet opens in full again.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-26

Your sessions hold more now. You can link more spots to a session, and when a walk is linked, it offers you its spots right away. An "Also along" section takes extra cameras, lenses and film stocks. Your main gear stays the one that counts for stats and badges, and you can change it any time. You can now find a session's place by search instead of only using your current location. That way a session you log later still lands in the right spot on the map. Links are tappable everywhere, from a journal entry to its spots, from a session to its walk, from a walk to its spots. We also fixed a bug when editing a journal entry, where the spots and session you had picked were lost. Your selection now sticks.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-08-20

This update makes FLANEUR smoother in daily use. On the map you can now tap any place to save it as a spot or add it to a trip, including a newly created one. Photo and keeper counts can be typed in directly when you prefer. The plus and minus buttons now wear the FLANEUR look everywhere, and film ISO steps through the photographic series, Portra 160 included. The Today tab reliably greets you with a fresh quote after midnight. German users get fully translated widgets. Your own entries can now be edited afterwards instead of deleting and re-adding them. Plus many small refinements under the hood.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-12

This update fixes journaling straight from a challenge card: "Journal it" now opens the editor with a visible save button, previously the entry could not be saved there. As a little extra, the entry now starts out with the card's title and the #challenge hashtag, so your challenge notes are easy to find in your journal later. Thanks to everyone sending feedback, that's exactly how FLANEUR gets better. Good light out there!

Photos, full size: tap any photo - in sessions, spots, your journal, notes or walks - and see it full screen. Swipe through all images, pinch to zoom in, and check sharpness just like in your photo library.
