## What is Flare?

Built by someone who spent months tracking his own condition in a spreadsheet because nothing else felt right.

If you've been dismissed, doubted, or told to wait it out, this app is your evidence. A quiet, structured way to document your symptoms and walk into your next appointment with real data instead of a half-remembered list.

Flare works for fibromyalgia, arthritis, migraine, endometriosis, back pain, pelvic pain, nerve pain -- and any condition you want to track.

WHAT YOU CAN TRACK
- Pain, fatigue, stiffness, brain fog, or any symptom you want to add
- Severity on a named five-level scale (None to Severe), never "3/10"
- Medications, dosages, and medication courses with dose changes
- Treatments (physical therapy, injections, procedures)
- Provider visits and follow-ups
- Day notes with quick suggestions to capture context fast

LOG ON YOUR TERMS
- Log whenever you need to, no fixed schedule, no guilt
- Each entry is timestamped to the minute
- Tap a cell to record, press Log to add another entry anytime

WHAT YOU CAN DO WITH IT
- See your history in a scrollable, color-coded timeline
- Spot patterns across weeks and months at a glance
- See whether weather seems to matter -- Flare quietly compares your ratings with local pressure changes (optional, approximate location only)
- See what changed on each medication course, and choose which courses count
- See when your symptoms peak with a time-of-day heatmap
- Discover which symptoms appear together
- Generate PDF reports formatted for appointments
- Export an AI-friendly file and share it with your AI of choice
- Export raw CSV data for your own analysis
- Back up and restore your data anytime

FLARE PRO
Monthly or annual subscription (both with a free trial), or a one-time lifetime purchase. Unlocks trend analysis, weather insights, course impact, visit snapshots, suggested appointment questions, and PDF / CSV / AI exports.

PRIVACY FIRST
- No account required
- No ads
- Your symptoms, notes, and history never leave your device
- Weather insights are optional, off by default, and use only an approximate area -- never your precise location

MEDICAL DISCLAIMER
Flare is a personal tracking tool, not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The information and patterns shown in Flare are not a substitute for professional medical advice. Always consult your doctor or another qualified healthcare professional before making medical decisions, including changes to medications or treatment.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2026-08-23*

Easy to use and can backdate records
Also can customize categories to record

### 5/5 — Fabulous

*2026-08-16*

Finally an app that I can use! I love everything about it. I like that I can customize to what I want. I'm only using the free version but am seriously considering purchasing the full version. I want to try it out for a while first.

**Developer response:** Thank you - this made my day! Customization was the whole point. Everyone’s pain looks different, so the app should bend to you and not the other way around. Take your time with the free version - I’ve got some new features coming out soon that will make it even better! If you hit anything that feels missing, tell me and I’ll happily look at it.

### 4/5 — Simple and easy to use!

*2026-08-14*

Been looking for a symptom tracker that has just symptoms and a simplistic way to log and this has been wonderful! No limits on the symptoms or activities that you can place and I love that there are reminders that keep you on track. I also love how the app is functional even without a subscription, though I wish the statistics were available on the free version as well, I’m happy to have a majority of the apps functionality without having to pay a whopping fee for premium.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t even start using

*2026-08-07*

Never was able to start using it: the page where they want you to set notifications didn’t have any buttons, probably they were somewhere in the bottom but couldn’t scroll down to them. Definitely not optimized for bigger fonts on the screen, as if people who don’t have perfect vision can’t have pain

**Developer response:** First, please allow me to personally apologize that my app made you feel unseen. I live with chronic pain too, and that feeling is one I know all too well. It’s the last thing I would ever want someone using my app to experience.

Secondly, I truly appreciate you taking the time to share this feedback. I’ve just released an update (version 1.8.6) that specifically focuses on larger text and improved accessibility features.

Thank you again for speaking up. Your feedback genuinely helps make the app better, and I hope you’ll be willing to give us a second chance.

### 5/5 — User Friendly App

*2026-07-25*

I am a truck driver dealing with some back pain I spoke with my chiropractor about gathering some data and he embraced the idea. A good way to find out and cure issues like epidemytis is to track down flares.

### 5/5 — Helping me

*2026-06-29*

Even after just a couple of days this is helping me. Chronic pain can make you feel so alone. Writing it down makes me feel like my experience is real and it matters.

**Developer response:** Thank you. This means a lot.

I built Flare because I live with chronic pain too. For me, logging felt like doing something positive for myself, even if it was a small thing. You’re exactly who I made it for.

If anything ever feels off, or there’s something you wish it did, use the feedback button in the app. I read and reply to every one.

### 5/5 — Helps me a lot

*2026-06-05*

Brought the PDF from flare to my lady appointment and my doctor stopped and said she wished more of her patients tracked like this! We covered more in 15 minutes than we usually do in a full visit worth it for that alone.

### 5/5 — Wish I had sooner

*2026-04-12*

Been dealing with chronic endo for over a year. Tracked everything on notes app for months before this. The 3x a day check in is smart because my pain at 8am is different than 9pm
