## What is Flare Tally?

Flare Tally delivers camera tally (ON AIR / PREVIEW) from your video switcher to each camera operator's iPhone. The Flare Tally host app on a Mac reads the switcher and relays cuts through our server; your phone shows them instantly.

Supported switchers — Blackmagic ATEM, Roland (Smart Tally), vMix, OBS, OSEE GoStream, TSL UMD

• Dynamic Island — see tally while using other apps (camera, streaming, NDI)
• Haptics — triple tap on preview, one firm pulse on air, one tap on release
• Banner — notification banners with a color tile, visible even in landscape shooting apps
• Border mode — black screen with a glowing edge, easy on the eyes next to a monitor
• Room code & QR — join from the host's link or QR with the camera number pre-filled
• Latency readout, notices and timer from the host, Korean/English
• Multi-window on iPad

Requires the Flare Tally host app for macOS (audioazpro.com) and one of the supported switchers. Try it without a host: enter room code DEMO.

Blackmagic Design, ATEM, Roland, vMix, OBS, OSEE and TSL are trademarks of their respective owners. Flare Tally is not affiliated with them.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-19

Introducing the Apple Watch app.
- The watch receives tally on its own. Pick the room code and camera on iPhone, and the watch connects by itself to the host on the same Wi-Fi (Offline mode) or over the internet (Online mode). It only goes through the iPhone when neither is available.
- Big camera number, ON AIR (red) and PREVIEW (green) screens with haptics — five short taps for preview.
- With your wrist down it keeps showing the time, camera, mode, server and link status (up to 1 hour, with a reminder when it ends).
- 'Receive tally' switch to step away, and 'Leave' to leave the room from the watch.

iPhone & iPad
- Fixed the area below the tally screen sliding when it didn't need to.
- Haptics buttons are hidden on iPad.

### 1.0.2 — 2026-09-19

- The status line now says Online mode / Offline mode and shows network latency in colour (green up to 300 ms, orange up to 500 ms, red above).
- The clock, carrier, Wi-Fi and battery are now visible at the top of the tally screen.
- If a room briefly looks offline (for example while the server restarts), joining now checks again automatically instead of failing.
- Stability improvements.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-09-17

- Stays online when you join with an online QR code, even on the same Wi-Fi
- Switches automatically to the host on the same Wi-Fi when the host loses internet
- Shows orange when the connection fails
- With Keep on lock turned off, the Dynamic Island ends when you leave the app
- Fixed notices being cut off or showing blank
- Improved layout for small windows and landscape
- Fixed the QR scanner preview lying sideways in iPad windows and landscape
