I always tried to be first to finish, which usually meant I got a few wrong in my haste. This game is a great way to relive those childhood memories and gameplay is fast enough that I can always finish a deck before the Mrs makes me do chores. I am especially glad that the developer of this App has included "change unknown " equations. (i.e. 7+_=12). In the Settings area, very specific parameters can be set for any math function. Parameters can be narrowed to have a child concentrate on facts with which he/she is having difficulty. Adjustments can be made as to the number of flash cards to do in one session. A constant number for any function can be set. Example: if child just needs to concentrate on the 9’s multiplication facts. A highest number limit can also be set to use with the 9. (Ex: all multiplication facts up to 9x5. All addition facts up to 9+9, etc) I also appreciate the fact that there is the option to not only provide the answer, but missing addend, subtrahend, etc. This provides a different way of processing the math fact. Thank you so much for thinking through situations children struggle with in memorizing math facts while developing this app. Lastly I appreciate and so does my child, that this is NOT a flashy, visually over stimulating app and that the right and wrong answer alert doesn’t assault the auditory senses! From short car rides to waiting for doctors appointments, it is a great way to practice their skills. I have continued to use this app for my children from kindergarten through 3rd grade and will confine to use it for years to come.
