After a few days I would agree. I’m in the middle of a storm and the lightening feature won’t load. Seems decent but only if it works which appears to be about half the time. Certainly not worth the price they charge **Developer response:** Hi Rule, thanks for the feedback and sorry the lightning feature let you down when you needed it most. That's not the experience we want, especially during a storm. Mind emailing support@flashweather.ai with your device and any screenshots you're able to share? We'd like to look into what's causing the load issue. ### 5/5 — Great new weather app *2026-04-14* Flash Weather Ai has quickly become my go-to weather app. What sets it apart is the incredible level of detail it provides, everything from lightning forecasting and real-time radar to dew points, seasonal trends, and hyper-local forecasts that actually matter throughout the week. Whether I’m planning for the weekend, preparing for severe weather, or just tracking subtle changes in conditions season to season, this app delivers exactly what I need. The interface is clean, fast, and intuitive, and the forecasting tools are surprisingly accurate and in-depth. They say you get a response within 2-4 hours. Does not happen! It’s been 12+ hours and No Response. The radar section needs a lot of help. You just don’t need anything else anymore - this is the most advanced weather tool I’ve seen yet available to me as an end user. Wow - try the lightning notifications - lights out accurate!! ### 5/5 — More accurate weather app *2025-08-19* The app is much more accurate and is the only app that is able to warn me ahead of time about a probable lightning strike. I use several weather apps and get emergency notifications from the city services and they’re always late as compared to Flash Weather AI. Had issues, something’s changed. But way too many features are free on well known free apps. Paying for lightning alerts-nope, the metrics (showing humidity, uv, etc) never appears). Will stick with major names and forget all this AI BS. ### 1/5 — Pay to use *2026-04-19, version 1.5.1* I loved using this, but now more than 90% of the futures are locked behind a premium. Been super useful to get alerts when lightning and thunder are close by. We have a dog that is terrified of thunder and jumps the fence. I am an avid or an anthologist and have been seeking a European Stirling my entire life. Thank God, I had my lightning notification turned on because boy did I get one and boy did European starling all thanks to Flash AI! ### 5/5 — Beware - Ignore earlier comments app works well now! *2026-05-02, version 1.5.18* With the latest update 5/01/26, I was able to subscribe, and the app works very well indeed. Highly recommended! The lightning alerts are magnificent, if they work. They now hide them under a Premium toll bridge; there does not seem to be any way to sign up for this on my iPod - when I go to manage account, all I get is a promo for Apple One. I have contacted the app at least five times, and have received no answer.
